Ah Paul, bless. So you see and agree that we advertise 10 pint boxes, you order two of them, your order confirmation states 10 pints (on both of the products you ordered), we dispatch and it arrives with you on time - so far sounding like great service to be honest.

However, because you see other breweries advertising 10 litres, you obviously made the mistake of assuming we do 10 litres and then you rate us one star for it, congratulations on being our one and only "1 Star" review and for being the first person in two years of national deliveries to make this mistake! If we'd screwed up, we could understand it and we'd hold our hands up and offer a solution to put it right, but we haven't, you just haven't read all the information that is clearly in front of you (we're not Ryan Air, we don't hide stuff in the T&Cs!).

Perhaps if you'd contacted us first and said, "I honestly thought these would be 10 litres", there may be something we could have done, we want everyone to enjoy the beer they get from us, but to just go and drop a one star on us for your mistake is poor form dude.

There is a specific reason why we offer 5, 10 and 20 pint quantities on national deliveries. Our beers are always in excellent condition - it's truly fresh, cask conditioned beer - as a result, it produces CO2 naturally through the conditioning process and although the bag in boxes are done "bright" there is always, unavoidably a small amount of yeast transfer. This means whilst in the bag, the beer is producing CO2 and will, eventually, blow the bag up like a balloon, if the bags were full of beer, there is nowhere for the gas to go and you'd end up with a massive balloon like ball of beer bursting out of the box on your doorstep - now that would warrant a one star review. So we half(ish) fill the bags to allow for expansion in transit (sure, other breweries get away with 10 litres in a 10 litre bag, our experience has shown that quite often, the condition of the beer isn't as good as we offer). Additionally, there's usually actually more than 10 pints in the bag to ensure no one is short-changed and to allow a bit extra should there be more yeast transference than preferred.

We're a friendly bunch and if, on a little self reflection and responsibility, you did want to order again, we won't bear a grudge, hey, we might even bung some extra beer your way as a thank you for re-ordering.
