Serious lack of transparency after payment – documented experience
I’m sharing my personal, documented experience for transparency.
I paid a deposit for a high-value pair of player-issued Adidas football boots and received an official invoice with a payment schedule and contractual completion date.
After my payment, I discovered material discrepancies between the original product description and a later updated version on the website — specifically regarding the “Burrito Tongue” construction, which was only clarified as applying to the LEFT boot after I raised concerns.
This detail was not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.
Despite the contract still being active and my funds still held by the seller:
• the product description was amended after payment
• an arbitrary 7-day deadline was imposed
• the item was re-listed for sale
• my deposit was not refunded
• communication was later refused unless through legal channels
All of this is documented with invoice, screenshots and emails.
I am not making accusations — I am simply reporting factual events from my own experience.
I believe transparency is essential in this market, especially for collectors making high-value purchases.
