A Great Investment

The sales staff clearly explained the features of different types of spas. After we made our purchase, the customer support center was able to field questions. The electrician had when installing our hot tub. We’ve used it for six months now and are absolutely delighted with the performance of the tub. It’s easy to operate and very comfortable inside. We are so glad we made this purchase!

Poor Customer Service

I ordered two products from barefoot spas. I had to reach out to them to see when the items were going to be shipped. Had been a while since I ordered the two products and my account was charged immediately but shipment had not occurred. I emailed to see when barefoot spas was going to mail my package. To date I still have not gotten a response. Finally I received a shipment notice that both items were being shipped. When the package arrived, there was only one of the items ordered. I have called barefoot spas customer service number, which no one answered. I left a message on the recording with my order number, name, phone number and the reason for calling. To date I have not received a return call nor have I received my other product that has been paid for.

I ordered a renewal of spa chemicals…

I ordered a renewal of spa chemicals and after a month of sitting with simply an order confirmation, I received no shipping notification. I had to reach out to customer service, only to find that half the order was out of stock. I currently have paid in full and received only half my order that I had to track down. Normally it's best practice if an item is out of stock to notify the customer that their delivery will be late or offer an alternative. This isn't the first time I've been disappointed with this company though.

VERY very poor customer service

VERY very poor customer service. To begin with they sell you a hotub and there's no owner's manual....nothing they don't even have one in print. Ok so after just one year of having the hotub (that we bought brand new) we had to contact Barefoot spa because it stopped heating and it was tripping the ground fault breaker. Barefoot told us it was the control panel that was bad and a new one would cost $380. We got the board from them and the technician that came out told us our board was fine, that it was the heating element that was bad and causing the breaker to trip not the control board. We returned the board to barefoot and and still waiting 3 months later for them to credit us back for it..nothing yet still. DO NOT BUY from these people!!!!

My order was incomplete because you were out of spa bright. The problem is that I had to call to find this out rather than getting an email to let me know this. A quick email or text saying the order for spa bright will come later would be helpful

They forgot a few things in my original…

They forgot a few things in my original order. I did not receive the Spa Bright and Clear Spa. They did say they would ship it out with my next order when I ordered the pre-filter in which I still did not get nor did I get any sort of tracking information. This has been terrible customer service.

Buy local

Beware!!!! Don't buy a spa from this company. My wife and I went to a "Spa Blowout Sale" in Columbia S.C. on 2/11/2024. We purchased a small three person (actually a two person) spa. We decided the next day that we didn't want this spa and wanted a larger model. Contacted the company's customer service (absolutely NO HELP BTW) the and told them to cancel the order two days later. Note, the spa had not been delivered as of yet and a time for delivery had not been established. Customer Service did elaborate that on the receipt it states No Refund but he would have someone look in to it. Again, no setup or delivery had been established. Fast forward to the next day. Spa delivery people called to setup an appointment and I clearly told then to Not deliver this spa. All while No response back from Customer Service. I came home from errands yesterday and the hot tub (uncovered) had been dropped off in my driveway blocking two parking spots. They didn't even place it on the deck as agreed to when I bought the spa!

After further research and speaking to someone knowledgeable with this company and spas I was told we should not have made this purchase because they have many reported issues with the quality (cracking, breaking components, service (Note their office is in Virginia)). We had looked at the BBB rating and felt this wasn't necessarily a bad company but when we realized the next day we found out reviews are not considered in the rating (this is noted below the rating). I looked further into the reviews here and other review sites (some with videos)and discovered many people have very bad experiences with their products. So now, no calls from customer service and when I called them they say it's not something they deal with (returns).

So now we're waiting on someone to come and get this spa that we, requested in a post marked letter, an email, and calls, before the three day rescission period. American Express has been notified to address. Hopefully the company with respond positively asap or we'll go down the FTC route. You have three days to cancel in South Carolina by law without even having to have a reason. Especially, as called out in the law statute for purchase made in "convention centers" like us at the "Medallion Center Spa Blowout Sale" in Columbia, SC.

Recommendations: Find a local dealership like Griffin's or Jack Oliver's. You will pay more but you will have local service and folks you can talk to when a distant customer service representative Ghost you. I bought a large hot tub from Griffin's over twenty years ago and it worked perfectly (not one issue) the whole time and also patio furniture from Jack Oliver's. We just had to relocate and got rid of it. I went back and the prices there were higher so we thought we would give Barefoot Spas and look.

I will update as I have more info to add.

Missing parts from the oder

They don't have done anything to correct my missing filter from my oder. Have sent 3 emails to sales team and no answer or nothing. Still after a month waiting my missing filter. Looks like they don't have any customers care team!

One of the bottles was received with…

One of the bottles was received with the top off and the granules were in the box and lost during shipping. There was a small amount of granules left in the box. I emailed back to report the problem and request a new bottle, but did not hear back
