Bamboo Airways moved my fight time from morning to evening without even asking me. More than that - I cant get any response from them AT ALL!!! And you know what? Morning flight wasn't cancelled - the day before the flight they are still selling it (more expensive than evening). This is insane! They ruined my plans and gave me a ton of stess for my money!

We bought tickets from Hanoi to Phu Quoc in September for November (21.11. outbound, 28.11. inbound) but we never really got on a plane. On the first of November they cancelled these tickets and have not offered any other flights that we could take. We asked for a refund. They still haven´t refunded the amount we paid and it´s been a long time wait now. Now I am going through the process of getting the refund via Vietnamese authorities - wish me luck and strong nerves.

I decided to write this review after seeing many negative ones that honestly made me a bit nervous about booking. However, my experience with Bamboo Airways was great overall.

I flew on March 10 at 6am from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang (Vietnam). The booking process was simple and straightforward, the flight departed on time, and the seats were comfortable. The staff were also very kind and helpful throughout the journey.

Honestly great experience, the price was phenomenal as well, would definitely book with Bamboo Airways again!

Après un changement d’horaire rendant ma correspondance impossible, un remboursement m’a été proposé par l’intermédiaire de l’agence.
J’ai accepté ce remboursement, mais Bamboo Airways a ensuite refusé toute prise en charge, en invoquant une politique interne.
Pendant plus d’un mois :
Bamboo Airways me renvoyait vers l’agence,
l’agence me renvoyait vers Bamboo Airways,
et aucune solution n’a été appliquée.
Aucune communication claire, aucune flexibilité, aucun accompagnement du passager, alors que la situation était urgente.
Résultat : aucun remboursement, aucune aide, et obligation d’acheter un nouveau billet à mes frais.
Une compagnie qui applique ses règles sans considération pour les conséquences pour le client et sans coordination avec ses partenaires.
Très décevant. Je ne voyagerai plus avec Bamboo Airways.

My flight was cancelled, on Nov. 12th 2025 to PHU QUOC ISLAND. I never received an email or call about the cancellation. Only by coincidence I found out, that the airline suspended the service on this route.

I tried several times to contact the airline for a full refund of the ticket, without success. No response at all. Nobody seems to care! My advise, don't book with them!

Don’t get on a bamboo airlines flight.

Their planes are outdated, likely 3-4th handed/thrift-store planes.

Every single time I’ve flown with these clowns they’ve been delayed. This time because of an issue with some sensor… this is more of a circus now than an airline.

Unsure if there are inspection standards for aircrafts in Vietnam. Do yourself a favour and don’t book with Vietjet or bamboo. Just pay the extra £20-30 for Vietnam airlines.

Wir haben Inlandsflüge in Vietnam von Da Nang nach Phu Quoc gebucht. Als Refund gibt es nur einen Credit bei der Airline was einem als Tourist nichts bringt, zumal es nun bei der Airline keinen einzigen Flug mehr auf dieser Strecke gibt.
Hier gibt es gar keinen Refund.

It‘s really tiring to share the whole experience with Bamboo Airways. But I’m willing to do so still.

Please stay away from Bamboo Airways.
We had our long-distance flight booked for Frankfurt to Hanoi + return flight.
During our flight to Hanoi in October 2023, they cancelled our return flight. Everyone arrived at the immigration in Hanoi had their return flight cancelled. Bamboo managed to ruin everyone’s day/weeks/month/years.

After 2 months they promised to refund, asking me for bank information.
After 7 months, they offered a voucher instead.
I declined the offer and asked for their initial offer of refund.
Since then, another time no reaction (after so many times without reactions in the nearly last 2 years).
We had tickets for 5 people, 3500€-4000€ vanished. Stolen. Hard work. Exploited.
We had to book our return flight for 800€ per person. Peanuts for Bamboo Airways, huh?!

We also spoke to some lawyers and will take action now.

I booked for 2 persons a round-trip flight with Bamboo Airways from Frankfurt to Ho Chi Minh City (Booking code: UA3GSX) scheduled for November 2023 (departure) and March 2024 (return). The total cost: €1,743.45.

Bamboo Airways canceled the flight due to their own bankruptcy issues, and since then, I have been waiting for a refund for over a year. It is now mid-2025, and I still haven’t received a single euro back.

I contacted both the airline and the travel agency. The agency confirmed that Bamboo Airways has NOT refunded them, so they cannot process anything on their end. Bamboo refuses to take responsibility and keeps pushing me back to the agency.

The worst part? There has been no transparency, no timeline, and no proper communication. Just vague, dismissive emails — and months of silence.

This isn’t just bad service — it’s theft. Taking money for a flight you cancel yourself, then refusing to refund it, and leaving your customers in limbo for years is completely unacceptable.

This is probably the worst airlines of all time.
I purchased my tickets back in September 2023 traveling from the UK and they cancelled all the international flights without refunding the tickets.

I have been waiting since October 2023 for a refund for a cancelled flight and they keep telling me to wait.
The flights were for my honeymoon, I never got informed they had been cancelled and it was only when I tried checking in that I find out.
Please give me my refund 😡😡😡😡

The worst company!!! the cancell the flight with no comunications, they left us with no flight on our holidays and also one year later NO MONEY BACK, they dont replay emails... Never buy any tickets with them!!! scammers!!

Achtung , diese Fluggesellschaft ist eine reine Katastrophe und Verschwendung von Zeit , Geld und Energie….
Flug wurde von der Airline Annulliert & und ich wurde noch nicht mal darüber informiert bzw. in Kenntnis darüber gesetzt worden.
Warte immer noch auf meine Erstattung.

As reported in other reviews, I was paying for a flight and when my Monzo app prompted me to approve the transaction, I approved and the flight amount was taken out of my account. However, after the approval, the transaction didn't go through on Bamboo's website even though it had taken my money. I had no record that the payment didn't go through (to prove for my charge back request with my bank) so I emailed Bamboo's support email. They did get back to me by the next day and confirmed the error so points for this. They don't issue the refund though, I think your bank sorts it. So remember to dispute the transaction with your bank but I believe the refund should be issued appropriately. It is an inconvenience to deal with this but the customer support is active. They should really fix this payment issue so money is not taken out if the payment method is not accepted. I will try again with my Revolut bank card.

I booked a flight. Bank says the charge went through but Bamboo says it did not. Bamboo says I should book again using a different card. I naively followed their instructions. Happened again.

I'm now waiting on two refunds from them, but by the looks of the reviews, I won't hold my breath.

I guess they don't want business or a good reputation?

I had a flight from Melbourne to Hochimin in March 2024, Bamboo Airline canceled the flight and they have not made the refund of the money. They do not answer emails. If they cancel a Flight it is very probable that they steal your money

Je wordt opgelicht waar je bij staat! Tijdens het inchecken werden we meteen doorverwezen naar hun klanten balie. Want onze derde naam zou ook op de ticket moeten staan. Heel vreemd, want ze vragen je firstname and middlename. Zonder verdere uitleg of compassie verwees de dame die niks zat te doen ons naar haar collega. Daar moesten we 108.000 VD per persoon betalen om de derde naam erop te krijgen. Gek genoeg is die derde naam niet zichtbaar op je boardingpass. Na ons waren meerdere toeristen de dupe van deze oplichting
