Uncomfortable Bally Sneakers

I bought a pair of "sneakers" from Bally two months ago. I thought I would treat myself for once but after wearing them for a whole day I realised that I had made a grave mistake. Companies like Bally should really stick to what they are good at, which is NOT SNEAKERS OR TRAINERS!!! I complained about how uncomfortable and unwearable they are to the store and asked for a refund or store credit and all I got was procrastination and INTEROGATION!! I cannot believe that a company such as Bally would want to damage their reputation for 260 quid. AND I would expect the most comfortable sneaker in the world for that kind of money. There has been a lot of back and forth between the store and myself and their head office and I have just been blanked and had smoke blown in my face. Frankly, it is DISGUSTING and has completely put me off the brand I will be sure to discourage anybody in my circle who is considering purchasing anything from Bally. Again, gravely disappointed and disgusted. Do not attempt to buy anything from this brand, if you want to voice discontent or expect any kind of decent service you will be sorely disappointed.

Bally not the company they once were

Granted I didn't buy shoes through Bally website but rather a third party shop. However they were new. One of the shoes fell apart after a month. I contacted Bally (wow thats a bad experience where they clearly don't read what you say) and they wanted me to send them to them so they could re glue the shoe all at my expense. What a joke for a company you think would care about their reputation.

No longer EU made - average quality shoes for the price

Bought a pair of shoes for $600, a price tag that would make sense for a high quality product with heritage brand, but quality is average (for the price). Surprised to see it is made in China given it's a designer european brand with prices aligned to that positioning
I bought shoes from them a few years ago and they were much better quality made in EU for the same price - they are cutting guts out of costs at the expense of the quality of the product

Terrible experience on returns and dealing with customer service and delivery. THIS IS NOT A LUXURY BRAND. Rude staff, struggled to get a refund for over a month. No one seems to know how to process a refund. Spent 1000 pounds to get damaged products thrown outside the house. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Terrible experience on returns and…

Terrible experience on returns and dealing with customer service and delivery. Shoes are uncomfortable and having gone through a lot of hassle to return they have now rejected the return due to the lack of a dust bag which was never sent, shoes in no way reflect the price paid and for a luxury brand it’s shambolic in terms of customer response.

I don't normally bother reviewing…

I don't normally bother reviewing things unless they're either exceptionally above the level of quality I expected or absolute trash.

Unfortunately, it's the latter reason that promoted this spiel. I've heard good things about Bally and bought a black pair of dress shoes for a friend's wedding. They literally didn't last the entire night, the first and only time I'd ever worn them.

After a few hours the sole had separated from the upper and was flapping about embarrassingly, which is entirely unacceptable for such a "prestigious" (Read: Expensive) brand, where'd you'd at least expect a solid welt if the soles weren't stitched. Never, never again.

Bally shoes are, in my experience, absolute balls, so I guess the name is apt at least.

For a luxury brand - Bally

For a luxury brand, I was not impressed with the quality of the shoes at all. The soles are extremely uncomfortable, thin with no support at all. The top of the shoe is very tight and I find that wearing them for longer than thirty minutes pinch my toes, to the point of it being too painful to wear. In addition, I fell down a staircase about two moths ago while wearing them, and the rubber on the heel of the shoes had unattached, which was the cause of the fall.

With the number of issues that their customer's have had with their merchandise, I hope Bally will see it as constructive criticism and take the initiative to improve the quality of their shoes.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I agree with all the poor reviews left on the site. Years ago their customer service was excellent now its crap as are the quality of the shoes. Clarks are better.

Bally curbid Snow boots!! Come with instruction and care information card asking us the client to keep it out of humidity and rain How the hell is that possible!!! Sad to spend any money for the brand..

The worst experience ever!

The worst experience ever!
I placed an order on 10th of june,received an email on 17th that it was delivered but clearly not to me!
Since then i have been calling every second day for updates ,none of them getting back in touch with me for 3 weeks
No emails,no calls,nothing at all!
Ariana was dealing with my case but so unreachable or her colleagues are just lying when saying she is not in.
They wont refund my money,and after 3 weeks of their investigation (which was just bull*hit ,clearly no investigation was done) they will send a tnt driver tomorrwo to my flat to check for the order! Are they *ucking kidding me?
After 3 weeks they send a driver!!?
And this is considered as a damn luxurious brand!
Most horrible experience ever! Dont purchase from this company!

Rubbish customer service.

Have bought them for years. This time I bought a pair of suede loafers and the soles literally fell apart. I complained and they said that it was because they were subjected to heat and not wearing them enough. Really!!!! I live in Aberdeen, Scotland and heat and that city do not go together. I wrote to management in Switzerland and posted the shoes to them. Guess what. They agreed that the upper shoes were in very good condition but could do nothing else and they offered me 10% off the next purchase. What a rubbish customer service. And what rubbish quality for the soles to fall apart.

DO NOT USE THEIR ONLINE STORE!

I have bought from Bally over the years, but always in store, great quality product. This time though I ordered a pair of Super Smash sneakers, and spare inner soles online, through Bally website. BIG BIG MISTAKE! Firstly, the shoes sent were defective, discoloured left shoe, awful seams, glue showing through, worse than any China-made rubbish you find at country markets in Italy or the like. I was shocked to be honest, it is not just display model that may got discoloured in the sun type defective, it is just awful, I wish I could attach the photos. I read the returns info, it just says if its too big, too small, you changed your mind, pls call. I call, Italian call centre staff first makes me feel like I am a liar, to which I indignantly reply that I am happy to send photos. Regardless of that, I say, please send me the returns info (since their paper work provides none of that, no return labels, nothing!). She refuses, demands that I send the photos first, I say, it is against the law, I have a right under both EU laws for the UK based shoes, and Swiss law for the inner soles, to return them for whatever reason so long as they are intact, and within 14 or 30 days respectively, and my call was within 5min of courier delivery. I get nothing by way of returns info, I send off photos and covering email. Nothing for number of days, I follow up, then and only then do I get an email that completely ignores my complaint about the customer service I received, with no apology about supplying me defective goods, zero, just telling me that I will get a link from TNT with returns info. I get nothing for day and a half, I waste time and money calling and chasing, I get the same call centre chic in Italy, who admits the quality is rubbish from the photos and that she has forwarded it to Bally HQ. However, again, no labels are sent, I have to wait for up to 4 days to get something from TNT, labels that I have to then also go to trouble printing, and have no control over date or time of collection. I do not have a printer I explain, then the only thing she could think of is I have drag the large boxes to one of London Bally stores. To say that this is the WORST returns policy I have encountered from any major brand, quality and defective sneakers aside, is to say nothing at all. After yet another lengthy call, we agree that I will drag the boxes on public transport and go to Bally Bond St store. Fine, but what do you think happens next after yet another 1.5 days, i get spammed by TNT about confirmed collections, again no choice of date or time! I call them to cancel since I agreed with Bally call centre to take goods in, in person, not to mention tell TNT if they are indeed coming, (a) I won't be home, and (b) please bring labels as Bally failed to supply me any. Cherry on top - TNT cannot find the confirmed shipment number or shipment reference on their system to cancel it!!! They say, if our guy does show up, just tell them we could not cancel. Talk about an unacceptable debacle. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I buying anything from Bally other than in store. Shame on you, and shame on Swiss precision and quality, what a disaster, Bally! You would think they have shifted their manufacturing and customer service to China or worse!

PS there is continuation to this debacle! I went physically to the Bally store, as the Italian call centre suggested to expedite matters, as they couldn't post me the return labels. I did, I went to their flagship store in Bond street. They were friendly enough, but their system was not working, they could not refund me the money!!! They took my goods, they gave me a business card and promised to do something about it come Monday. So, at this stage, I had no shoes, no refund, and no paperwork for anything. Noone called, noone did anything, I kept calling, they could not make the refund work, so I had to chase a few times, but 2 weeks later finally I got a refund. Shame on you Bally!

I hav 5 pairs and my oldest one is over 7 years.

DISGRACEFUL

Purchased a £300 pair of trainers as a gift for my partner 10 days before his birthday.
Once opened we realized they were too big.. called them after 15 days of them being received they REFUSED to exchange them...Lied and said it was escalated to a manager also refused to give the managers name.
Understand 14 day return policy...However after 15 days refusing an EXCHANGE!!!!

DISGRACEFUL COMPANY!!!! 1 star is generous

Very poor service for returns

Very poor service for returns. Despite emails and calls this company cannot arrange a courier pick up with TNT when other retailers over this season have managed to do so with courier companies such as DHL.

Would never purchase online again.

Cancelled order

Cancelled order 2 days later with no explanation. Missed out on the shoes I was excited to get. The one I ordered was the last in stock, so I can only assume they have a poor stock control system or an employee wanted the shoes more than me. At least they didn't take any money though.

2 more days later they told me (I did not contact them) "your order ________ has been cancelled as per your request". Very strange.

And 2 more days later as suspected they confirm they didn't have the stock advertised on the site.

Shoes were faulty, still waiting for a solution 1 year later

I bought a pair of shoes from Bally UK but there were manufacturing faults and they fell apart.

Bally agreed to fix them, but it's been a year later of back-and-forth over email and nothing has been done.

The only way I get somewhere is by contacting their head office in Switzerland, but even then after a few days Bally UK stop caring again.
