We worked with Meg and Jasmeet on closing the sale of our house and purchase of another in Toronto. Meg and Jasmeet were both outstanding, very professional, friendly, efficient and quick with communication. They helped us resolve a few problems that would have gone under the radar otherwise. I can't recommend them enough. Axess Law exceeded our expectations.

Real Estate sale advertised price of $899 plus $75 for Law Society of Canada fee. Contacted them as I was the seller of property with a Power Of Attorney prepared by another lawyer some 2 years ago. Received my adjustments documentation and note additional charges that are excessive, if even applicable. FEE to act on behalf of the power of attorney $150, not sure what they did other than read the notarized Power Of Attorney with my name as POA. Courier FEE $80!! Not sure what they shipped but it must of weighed 100 LBS!!! Banking fee $125, plus a wire transfer fee of $17.50 on top??? Seemed I must of been charged their yearly bank fees, as I have never seen fees this high from any bank for a deposit of funds then etransfer to my account, and small amount to real estate broker, that was short from the deposit, for their commission. Software Transaction FEE of $281.37??? Seems I paid for their yearly subscription to some type of software. Have asked for further explanation of these charges and as yet no reply. BTW I had no mortgage to discharge so they had less work to do on this account.

I went in to get my will and power of attorney completed. When entering the lawyer’s office my cousin and I felt quite relaxed by the way we were greeted. He was very knowledgeable and after hearing what our needs were, he asked that only the person making the will stay for confidential purposes. His questions were easy to understand and straightforward. During the conversation he gave related advice and cautions to make sure I was properly informed. Some people may think this as an intrusion but I took it as him being thorough. At the end my cousin and I had some clarifying questions which he answered in a very informative way without divulging confidentiality. The experience was pleasant and very informative. I was surprised of the great service taken into consideration the reasonable cost.

From the first time I emailed Andrea Lauzon I felt comfort.
Then when she let me call her an a Sat and walked me through all of the mortgage papers I knew I had made the right choice in hiring Axess Law.
Even when I knew she was busy with her own life she had time for me. This girl is going to go far.

I called to book an appointment for drafting our WILL (my husband and I), the person who answered my call asked me to send him $29.99 Can. +taxes (online-e-transfer etc) for booking an appointment for us. I was surprised and did not feel comfortable in doing so before I meet with the lawyer and discuss our WILL and POA. I have called more than 6 other companies/law firms to compare their prices and no one ever asked me for a penny in order to book an appointment for us?? The idea of paying money for booking an appointment is bizarre and strange business practice. I did not trust their business practice at all. Do you agree with my opinion??
