Alan has been so incredibly helpful. We arrived in Greece with a so called refurbished RayMarine E80. But it did not work.

So we purchased an ONWA KP1299 plotter and AIS, which Alan shipped to our Marina here on the Greek island of Lesvos.

We saved on UK VAT as it was an export item. But of course then had to pay Greek VAT and DHL charges.

Most importantly though is that the plotter is now installed and working

Having purchased an Onwa pilot package from another company, I found I needed a motor switch to operate my pump, Alan provided this at a competetive price and great delivery.
Alan provided me with assistance in making the system work and I cant thank him enough, having had boats for fifty years, it is refreshing to find an electronics firm who are both efficient and caring!

Quick delivery and advice and support from a real person!

We had sailed to Ireland and anchored when our plotter failed as were waiting to cross Biscay. Alan arranged delivery of a new plotter to a local hotel, pre input all our AIS details and sent a very comprehensive fitting kit. The plotter functions very well. We are extremely impressed.

Recently bought the KP-27A as I was looking for an AIS transmitter. Pre sales correspondence was excellent and email replies very speedy.
Item was set up with my boat details, which saved a lot of time, before dispatch.

I had a problem connecting my Onwa KP27A via NMEA 2k to another plotter. Alan was absolutely fantastic with his support! As well as being calm and informative he even set up a bench test to help me through the problem. Even when the Onea was unlikely to be the problem he was still happy to help triage the problem. In the end it was a user installation error not the Onwa. But still Alan wanted to hear what was the cause and to understanding the problem rather than worrying about the Onwa being the problem. I can’t thank him enough for his wonderful service!!

I've known Aves Marine for 2-3 years now. Purchased a number of Onwa products from him. What made me choose Onwa, a relatively unknown manufacturer in Europe often wrongly considered low cost & unreliable, was Aves Marine's competence and customer first attitude. Whenever I have needed assistance or advice, Alan (Aves Marine) has responded promptly. These days you seldom get that service level from any dealer anywhere in the UK.

Onwa products are turning out to be as good and reliable as the good old Autohelm made in Fareham in the 80s and 90s, at a fraction of the cost of Raymarine, Navico, Furuno or Garmin (all manufactured and assembled in the same factories in Asia these days). On top of that add a guy watching your back when you need him. It's a no brainer to me.
