Be aware of providing a deposit.
Be aware of providing a deposit to this business without clarifying all the terms. I gave them a 2,000 euros deposit for an SUV that I was very clear upfront that it was dependent upon getting financing from my bank. I was updating them several times a week with any progress from my bank and they always seemed to be very friendly until I finally told them that I didnt get the approval. Once I requested the deposit to be returned they said the contract was for 2 weeks and they will not return it. I replied to them that why when the expiring time was approaching they didnt notify me that either I have to cancel the hold on the vehicle to be able to recuperate my deposit safely or continue to hold but loosing the opportunity to get it back. I was always very communicative with them and I was never ever told about loosing my deposit or that there was a time frame expiration date from the contract.
I tried very politely to explain and request my hard earned money back and they didnt have any remorse to keep it. Businesses like this shouldn't be doing this type of actions against people's trust and savings and have more humanity and fairness to others.
I really wanted to purchase the vehicle and it was very unfortunate for both parties but they will sell it nonetheless with an extra gaining from me. The car was listed for months and months without being sold and they can not play the card of loosing a potential buyer because they hold it for me for 3 weeks. I even asked to pay them a fair fee for the extra week that was on hold and they pretty much gave me a solid NO.
Too sad to find dealers with these practices nowadays.
I wanted to share my story so this doesnt happens to anyone else from abroad providing a deposit without knowing the more than likely consequences if they do not end up purchasing the vehicle from them.
