There is a handful of drivers who actually care for their job. 9 times out of 10 I preorder a taxi sometimes hours in advance to ensure the staff have plenty of time to arrange a pick up. 9 times out of 10 I am waiting 10-15 minutes after the pick up time has gone past. More often than not I also get drivers who either accept the job and then cancel, or drivers who will arrive EARLIER than MY specified pick up time, and then call back the office and say “There was no one waiting” despite them arriving earlier than my pick up time, and then leave. I have also had an occasion where a driver legitimately took my money, told the company he had picked me up and dropped me at my drop off location, despite me never leaving my pick up location. The women on the phone are also particularly useless when you call up to enquire, as soon as they have given their mandatory “we will try our best” without trying at all, they will just end the call with you mid conversation. I have also experienced many times where the driver will accept, and then refuse to move from the location he was at when accepting for 10 minutes (I can see their location on the apps map). I’ve even had drivers tell me before that they were sat around waiting for a job for 20-25 minutes before they were given my job, but when you call the office they say “We’re really busy right now you’re on the highest priority” right so if that’s the case why do you have drivers telling me on the same day that they were waiting around for a job? They tell you they’re busy and doing everything they can, whilst doing absolutely nothing at all because there is no consequences to their awful attitude and work ethic. The drivers get away with being slow, late and lying, and the office staff get away with lying and rudeness. I’ve used Autocab for a long time, but after so many years of dealing with the same lies and excuses, I’ll be switching to Lucky 7, who to this day, have not let me down. Everytime I call an Autocab taxi I also order a lucky 7 one, guess which taxi picks me up? I’ll tell you, it’s not the Autocab one. I’ll give my graces to Wasim, a driver for Autocab who is a genuinely lovely person and tries his best with me, the only driver I’ve had consistently that actually arrives on time, he deserves more than autocab

I had a disappointing experience with this company. During my call with the product team, I felt there was a lack of understanding of the industry and the product’s direction. Responses were slow, the conversation often went off-topic, and overall it didn’t inspire confidence in their knowledge or leadership. I expected more professionalism and clearer insight from a company in this space.
