Waste of time
Waste of time. Waste of £179. I was no wiser after the so called DPF experts diagnostics. Possible sensor fault. Possible DPF fault. No clean required. What a load of crap. My mechanics found the fault in 10 mins. Wiggling a hose to the sensor. Known issue. Their tech would or should have known this. His other advice was. Can only be correctly investigate at a garage. Rubbish. My mechanic is a mobile chap. Waste of money purchasing a sensor. My advice. Don’t waste your money on this lot. Your regular mechanic Infact any good mechanic can do the job. Cut out this middle man crap.

Had a very good experience, came round swiftly. Adam was great, very polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Explained everything in detail. DPF was cleaned and fault cleared. Very professional service. Thank you very much .
Avoid
Told my fault code would be fixed by sales team and engineer.
Engineer replaced DPF sensor - fault code reappeared 2 days later.
Was told diagnostics would be completed prior to- no evidence of this parts changed without my authorisation.
Tried to contact took weeks to get a reply now saying it’s my fault. Awful company trying to get a response from.
Anyone wanting a real feedback response of the company please get in touch happily provide you with the evidence. Avoid at all costs.

Lewis their technician was brilliant. Punctual, courteous , knowledgeable and professional. Booking the service was also excellent. Some parts needed to be ordered and the service staff were excellent. They supplied genuine parts at very competitive prices, which were expertly fitted by Lewis. I would recommend Auto Assist without question.

Lewis came out today to clean my DPF on my Jag Fpace. Whilst here he checked a few bits and also recommended something Jag had failed to recently fix regarding my adblue. Suffice to say he cleaned the dpf and also ive got him coming back to sort a long standing issue. What a great service - thank you Lewis for your help.

3 visits, No help.
After 3 visits from Auto Assist, each visit charged at £179, a DPF clean, which may not have even been necessary, a replacement dpf pressure sensor- which also may not have been necessary (both charged for of course) they offered me the option to pay another £179 to come and fit an O2 sensor (which I havedeclined), because now apparently that's the issue (assessed by email!), how many times should I have them attend and believe they may be, this time going to assess the issue correctly and fix it, no more, that much is certain. I'm taking the issue somewhere else and if I can update this I will, but I will most definitely not be using or recommending this company to anyone, ever.

Can highly recommend DPF Specialist. I have a Vauxhall Combo van which had an engine warning light up on the display.
Adam our engineer, was excellent. Very polite and helped explain everything that was happening with the diagnostics and then the clean. We had booked in for the premium clean, and even though the filter was not bad and we could have downgraded our service we chose to carry on with the premium service. At all times Adam ensured we were happy with what was happening and the service we had chosen.
Adam is a credit to the company. We will be extremely happy to give your company’s details to anyone who needs help with their vehicles. Thank you once again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I made it very clear that my car required a DPF regeneration, as flagged during a recent service by Mercedes. The company agreed to carry this out, but instead they performed another diagnostic test and charged £179, without addressing the actual issue — the DPF regeneration.
I would not recommend using this company.
Approach With Caution
I won't focus on the high cost of their service relative to what is actually delivered (your local garage or Halfords will often do a similar service for a fraction of the cost), nor will I comment on their overall poor customer service. Rather, I want to focus on their unreliable "professional/expert" information provision.
It was recommended, after a DPF clean by one of their engineers, that I needed a replacement DPF sensor. Fair enough. I sourced a sensor (£200), which they were happy for me to do, but before committing to purchasing it I played it safe and first sought verification from AAG that it was the correct sensor. Their "Technical Director" responded (which I have email proof) that it was indeed the "correct part" so I proceeded confidently with the purchase.
However, it transpired that I was given incorrect advice by AAG for my car and it was in fact the "wrong part". My belief is that the Technical Director didn’t perform any due diligence and that they had assumed incorrectly that “one size fits all”. There were also no caveats given to me that more research needed to be done to confirm (e.g., VIN details), nor any comment that the part “could be correct”. Rather, I got a clear and obvious “the part is correct”. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have proceeded with the purchase.
Due to AAG also not responding, for over a month, to set a date to fit the part, which they had previously agreed to do, it was only belatedly established that it was the "wrong part" and I had gone beyond the supplier's returns window.
This wrong "expert" advice from AAG, and poor customer response times, has left me £200 out of pocket and despite giving ample opportunity to AAG to admit some liability they are taking no responsibility for the incorrect part confirmation that they provided, nor their delay in responding to a fitting date. As a professional auto organisation, you’d assume it was reasonable to trust their expert advice. More fool me.
The takeaway is that if you decide to deal with AAG you should do so with caution.

An awful overall experience with poor…
An awful overall experience with poor customer service and it ended up with my van being left unable to driven and had to be sold for spares or repair!. I followed their advise and took it to my local garage who had regularly serviced the van and they could not believe or indeed understand what I had been told by the mobile service engineer who attended my van and changed me £479. My customer complaint was escalated to Director level in the company basically refused to assist me any further. Absolutely shocked and be very cautious using this service!
