A Diamond Experience

I visited A&B in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham today for help and advice on buying a particular ring. I have used this company before and now I wouldn't look at going anywhere else. Everyone I have ever dealt with there has been absolutely brilliant. On this occasion it was Desh, he was such a pleasant young man, helpful, reassuring and patient with this indecisive customer! This is the third item I've bought from Austen and Blake so that in itself is testament to how I view their customer service, quality of the jewellery and the reassurance that comes with the purchase. Thank you Desh, it was a pleasure meeting you today.

Camelia was amazing throughout the whole process. Swift and clear communication throughout to makesure the engagement ring was everything I was after from the clarity, cut and design. Rest assured your in good hands! Needed a slight resize for a specific date and she made sure the team accommodated to my needs. Brilliant service! Fiancé is over the moon!

Brilliant all round.

Camelia in the Birmingham store was extremely helpful from start to finish. She was knowledgeable and patient with lots of revisions made to a bespoke ring. It’s rare you get this level of customer service. The ring itself was perfect and well made. I’d absolutely recommend to friends and family.

Great service…

We had our appointment today at 4.30pm today to collect a ring and we were hugely delayed due to awful traffic. We got there only a few mins before the store closed and Camelia kept the store open and didn’t rush us at all. Really friendly and great service! Highly recommend ❤️

Poor Service Post Sale - Exercise Caution

*Updated Review - Post Ordering*

Please note, I have updated a previously positive review for Austen and Blake. My previous positive review was left after good customer service in store up to and ordering an engagement ring. It should be noted that I was asked to complete a review at this time and so positive reviews for A+B may be being positively biased by this method.

The following months after ordering though leads me to changing this review. Please see below for updated events.

Order was placed on 07.09.24. I was advised that timeline would be 2-4weeks for delivery (as this was a bespoke item). Fair enough and I was expecting this to run through to 7th Oct.

On the 6th of Oct, after chasing for an update I received a call to tell me there had been a problem in manufacturing the ring and this would now be delayed. An email confirmed that it was marked as urgent and should be remade on the 8th Oct and ready for the 16th Oct. Despite already having proposal plans that would now have to be rearranged, I agreed to this as I wanted the ring to be right.

On the 15th Oct I chased this again for an update.

On the 16th October (ready date no.2) I was told that it was further delayed and would be ready for the 23rd. I replied expressing my concern and that this needed to be available for new proposal plans. I received a further email, explicitly telling me that the operations team had assured it would be ready by the 23rd. The email read exactly “I have just spoken with our Operations Team and they assured us the order will be ready by then for you."

The 23rd Oct (ready date no. 3) has now come around and this morning I receive a telephone message from a different office informing me that there is a problem with the manufacture (the same problem as stated before still) and that this will be delayed by a further 3 weeks. However, they “hope” that they can have it ready for a new (ready date no. 4).

This puts it late again for revised proposal plans and I am at risk of losing more.

In an attempt to contact A+B to day to talk about the situation I have rang circa. 20times only to get through to someone once. Who promised to phone me back when then had spoken to a colleague further. They never returned the call as promised.

I would exercise extreme caution for anyone looking to order a bespoke item through A+B.
