I really like working with Asteroom.

Not only are they very friendly and nice, they give really clear and concise guidelines in what they want from me. The software that I use to produce the 3D tours and desk appraisals works really well, is very complete, and makes my work much easier - plus, I haven't encountered any bugs.

[Added: I wanted to add that I started shooting virtual tours before Asteroom expanded into desk appraisal, shooting real estate with a number of different realtor agents. At that time, I was using a Ricoh Z1, which I initially continued to use as they expanded their business model. At one point, I decided to try using my iPhone with their fisheye lens and Bluetooth rotator. I was amazed that the quality of the shots I was getting with that combo was both equal to my Z1, but waaayyyy easier and faster than the Z1 > Lightroom > Asteroom web page. The other point I wanted to make is that there is sometimes a lag between the shoot and getting paid, but it's always faster than getting paid by the agent. I may get paid slightly less than I do with an agent, but the lower hassle and faster turnaround makes it all worthwhile.]

So all in all, I would rather work with Asteroom than with any other similar service.

The ASTEROOM team makes the data collection process quick and easy for their data collectors with a quick turnaround time for onsite approval of the task. Originally I was looking for 360 tour alternative and I came across Asteroom, I bought the 1st generation kit and the result is good since the 1st tour, the actual 360 tour is great, plus the floorplan and dollhouse options are really nice as well. I have been using it since 2021 and many more 360 tours later, I still love it.

This company is a scam. They send you their equipment to take images and then do not pay freelance workers. Do not work with this company

This company says that as a realtor you can receive assignments to shoot videos of houses. They promise you 5-10 assignments a week at $60-$75 a shoot. In actuality its 1-3 assignments IF you can manage tp claim the assignment BEFORE someone in your area does first. Run Run Run from Asteroom.

Is asteroom just for real estate agents or can freelance photographers use it to do 360 tours for real estate agencies?

I signed up to be a scanner with Asteroom. The representative and their marketing ad stated that each assignment would pay no less than $75. I have the original advertisement just in case the information is changed.

However, when I started receiving assignments, many of them actually start at $60. I also have the original email related to this.

Also, I was told that assignments would be delivered to my email. But they never told me that I would be competing with other scanners for the same assignments.

While I'm sure Asteroom is a good company, there was a lot of misrepresentation and deceptive marketing that has made me lose some respect for them.

Impressed by the quality of the images and speed of the process. I am a professional photographer and Asteroom is a great tool for me to use for my clients.

The results of this product are amazing. There was a learning curve for me though, yes I’m a Boomer! But my challenges were immediately resolved and I am so impressed with the results. For me, more instructions would have been helpful. But now that I’ve completed one “dollhouse”, I will use this tool always. It’s extremely economical.

Asteroom is very easy to use, the final product is incredible, and the customer support is impressive. A+ Asteroom!

Very responsive support. Easy to use and efficient option for virtual tours

As a first time user Emma was fantastic to work with and helped me by explaining and walking me through my project. She made it seem so easy

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical ordering this product directly from Asteroom’s shopify account, considering there isn’t much information out there about this product or the company. Happy to report, my experience has been delightful. I am an amateur photographer and a real estate broker with 23 yrs in the biz and I was looking for a viable option for virtual tours without having to spend hours in Lightroom after shooting video with my dslr. If you’re here reading this, you may be aware that most 360 cameras suited for real estate virtual tours are sold out everywhere, unless of course you want shell out $3300 for Matte*** which I didn’t want to do. I was lured by the ease of use of this system and took the plunge to order it. I was on backorder for the 360 camera I wanted, which ironically came at the same time as Asteroom product (which by the way came wayyy ahead of schedule - big plus). I immediately connected with Asteroom customer service to process a refund. I was skeptical they’d even get back to me. But not only did they get back to me, but refunded me the entire sum, no questions asked. Wayne Hung from CS followed up with me without me having to chase him... and ensured I had a great customer experience even though I did not end up using their product. Wow! Is all I can say. If you’re thinking about buying this product, this company and it’s people have my vote of confidence. Great job, you guys! Way to go to build a great reputation among our large yet well knit community of Realtors. Wayne, I appreciate you, thank you!!

Emma went the extra mile to help me in a situation I had and no fault of Asteroom. I do wish the plans were a little cheaper but I'm staying with Asteroom. Service is important to me.

Emma helped me figure out that the pano photos I took were hiding in an album. She walked me through the process of getting them into a project and explained strategies and options for processing. I was surprised to get such quick help, and that Emma was so patient with my un-tech-savvy ways. Bravo!

After you spend time setting up your tour, they butcher the entire thing and ask you to accept it. I complained about how they changed my room entrances and the camera is facing a wall. I then fixed it myself and the next day they had put the first view to each room as facing a wall or corner. So stupid!
