This is a warning for any pet owners - they took great care of my dog when he unfortunately was put down and the vet at the time was very understanding. We couldn't fault them there.

However, when organising the memorials including clay paw prints of your pet and fur clippings, they took the order but missed this when ordering from the crematorium and "didn't place the full order as someone was on holiday". To add insult to injury they repeatedly lied on several phone calls to cover up the mistake that was only revealed several weeks later upon collection of the ashes (which thankfully they managed to get right).

Still tried to charge us for the memorials that couldn't be delivered as it was too late as my dog had been cremated. Then claimed this was for the euthanasia that we had already paid for. We were and still are devastated. A sorry and half price for the ashes was the response.

Never had a problem before there, but just double check everything with them as there are some serious professionalism failings.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Every person I have spoken to, be it receptionist, nurse or vet is friendly, helpful,caring and compassionate. I feel confident I am getting the best possible care for my dog and fortunate indeed to have Arun Vets as my local practice.

I had to unfortunately take my cat to the Storrington Branch as an emergency recently where she had to be put to sleep. The care and compassion shown by the staff was amazing, they were so patient and caring and gave us time with our little girl. We also received a lovely card from the vet who dealt with her a few days later with some lovely words which meant a lot. We now have a dog and have registered at the Worthing Branch. We have had one visit and two telephone calls and already I can see we have chosen the best vet for our new girl. They are kind, caring, and quickly react to any issues always putting the dog first. Arun Vets (Westergate) really helped me (and my puppy) out when I was in the area. They were very professional, they went above and beyond for me and my puppy, they answered all of my questions, gave me simple answers and helpful tips and I really felt like they cared. My experience with them made me wish I lived close enough to have them as my permanent vets!

On a routine visit to Arun Veterinary Group , Storrington for annual vaccinations and health check we were advised that our dog’s teeth were in need of descaling, and one back tooth needed to be extracted because of infected gums.

During the course of the operation we received a telephone call from the vet recommending that four small front teeth also needed to be removed.

When we collected Scamp (9 years old) a few hours later he was happy and recovered completely from the anaesthetic . He was not bleeding at all from the mouth. We were given advice and after care medication, including pain killer, and some tins of soft food.

A follow up check was arranged for the next day. Dog toothpaste and a sample of dried food that was intended to improve dental health was also provided.

We do not know how much longer we will be able to afford this quality of care especially when dental care was excluded from our expensive pet health care policy.

In complete contrast to our experience our daughter in Worthing was charged much more for dental treatment needed by her dog. When she arrived at reception after the operation she and her husband could hear their dog howling in distress. They had to join many other people waiting to pay their bill before their animal could be collected.

A vet or veterinary nurse was not available at the time of discharge. Our daughter’s dog was bleeding the day after the operation and he has not eaten. The routine follow up checks are not due for another six days.

So grateful that in Arun Veterinary Group we have a local and caring service in Storrington.
