I'm pleased with my purchase. The ebook was accessible, informative, and easy to follow. The entire process was straightforward, and I had a positive experience from start to finish.

I purchased my 1st Master capsule from Dan and AOS last fall. Everything fit perfectly. The process was easy and painless. Dan is an expert at his craft and, more importantly, a wonderful person. I had such a great experience that I purchased a 2nd Master capsule for spring/summer. My 1st capsule is climate specific for the Midwest/northeast. The second go-round was just as seamless and A amazing as the first. I cannot recommend Dan, Articles of Style or his staff enough. The price is worth everything and I am enjoying wearing everything I purchased. Sadly, I can only give AOS 5 stars, they deserve 10+. Thanks Dan. I tell everyone about you and what you have created. It truly is amazing.

This is my second go-round with Articles of Style for a capsule, along with a handful of one-off pieces I've added along the way. The simple fact is that there is nothing else in my wardrobe that fits as well, feels as good, or makes me feel more confident.

My first capsule arrived with a few fit issues, but they were easily corrected by my local tailor and incorporated into my measurements going forward. This time around, AoS absolutely nailed the fit. I ultimately decided to bring the trouser hems up just a touch, but otherwise everything was spot-on. While doing the alterations, my tailor even described the materials as “bulletproof.”

What has probably surprised me most, though, is just how much I actually wear these clothes. When I first decided to invest in custom clothing, I wondered whether I'd really get enough use out of it to justify the cost. That question has been answered pretty decisively. These pieces have become some of the most frequently worn things in my closet, and they work together (and with the rest of my wardrobe) in ways I didn't fully appreciate until I started living in them.

I really can't overstate how happy I've been with my AoS purchases. I'm already plotting my next few one-off additions, and somewhere down the road I can absolutely see a third capsule continuing to edge more and more of the off-the-rack clothing out of my closet.

My experience with Articles of Style (AoS) was truly top flight both in the quality of the clothing and the care that Dan and his team provided through their white glove service. When I set up my initial consultation I never expected it would be with the owner of the company and the man we see in all of the AoS videos but Dan was there from beginning to end that is the kind of attention my order received.

Now every time I wear something from my AoS capsule, I receive compliments about their look and quality. To be honest, I don't wear the clothes for that reason, I wear them because of how comfortable they are and how good I feel when wearing them.

The whole order process takes longer than going into your typical men's store but the extra time is worth it because Dan cares and the final product is amazing. This capsule is my first purchase from AoS. Certainly not my last.

Living in Southern California, fresco trousers are a great addition to my wardrobe. The fabric breathes incredibly well and stays comfortable in warm weather while still looking polished and professional. They were also a particularly strong option for several meetings I held in Scottsdale this year, where I needed to look sharp without wearing anything overly heavy. The drape, fit, and versatility are excellent. I now own them in both mid-grey and chocolate, and they have become some of the most useful trousers in my wardrobe.

Fit and finish of the Armstrong shirt was perfect. I was very impressed with the weight of the fabric. It was not lightweight at all. Very high quality!

I recently purchased and read How to Buy Menswear and found it extremely helpful.

Clothes shopping has always overwhelmed me because of the myriad of options in front of me, so I became a need-based clothes shopper. As a result, I made the very mistake you describe in the book: buying one item that has no real relationship to anything else in my closet.

Your capsule technique helped me completely rethink how I shop. I went through my closet and created an inventory, and for the first time I feel like I actually understand what I have and, more importantly, what I’m missing.

The quality and final fit of the garments are great. By far the most comfortable clothes I've ever owned. The process was a little tedious, but the end result was worth it. Note that you will absolutely need a trusted local tailor to make the final adjustments.

I felt the custom wardrobe process wasn't as personalized as I expected and the communication was throughout the process sub par. The timeline of me placing the order to receiving my final garments was about 5-months. Some of that was my fault as I think it took me a few days to upload my measurements and photos, and I had the test garments for probably another few days to a week before I uploaded the photos and comments. It seems that they were in the middle of changing warehouses and some of their suppliers, which I think contributed most to the delays.
Overall, I do recommend AoS if you don't have a local shop that can offer the same services. I'm been in to Surmesur a number of times, but feel the final product I received from AoS is far superior to what I would have received from Surmesur.
Now that I have these garments, I no longer want to wear anything that I had in my wardrobe previously. I ordered the Builder capsule, but wished I would have done the Master capsule. I was nervous to commit so much money upfront. If you're in the same position as I was, I would recommend ordering a single garment or suit to test the process and quality, and then order the Master capsule, as that would likely be less expensive than ordering the Builder capsule twice, and would also be less headaches.

Dan and his team have that perfect combination of expertise and empathy that makes them both approachable and reliable. That sounds stupid talking about clothes, but as a 40-something male, I really don't like focusing on myself and am often embarrassed or unsatisfied when I do. Articles of Style makes it easy and exciting to take a shot at being a little better every day.

I think that my expectations were based on a version of articles of style that existed before the pandemic. I know a lot has changed in this business over the intervening years so I get that, but for the price point the service and products really don’t live up to their billing. I’ll have to keep looking for a clothier that meets the standard I’m looking for in a non-bespoke but higher end made to measure clothing experience.

I ordered (and paid for) a 1/4 zip waffle sweater 25 days ago for $475 and have yet to hear from the company or receive the merchandise. I have emailed requesting a response with none with no response forthcoming. It's curious that there is no way to communicate with the company except through email. Makes me wonder if the company is legit or not.

Dan was helpful on the call and picking the items out was pretty easy. The pants coats and sweater were all amazing. Great fit and high-quality. My shirts didn’t quite fit exactly as I had hoped and the polo sweater seemed a little shabby around the collar. Still, I think the value is strong overall and appreciate the experience.
