Bouquet lasted 2 days

Lovely arrangement, quick delivery, nice packaging but, to what avail if I have received the flowers on Saturday and by Monday evening half of them were wilted?
Quite the disappointment

My order was a birthday gift for a friend. She called me immediately she received her flowers 💐 and was thrilled with her bouquet. The flowers lasted longer than I had expected and brought joy to a friend who lives miles from me.She said when she looked at her flowers it reminded her of our friendship and brought us closer.

Expectations Exceeded!

Easy ordering, value for money, arrived on time and very pleased with the beautiful bouquet of lilies delivered. It's not usual these days that your expectations are exceeded, but I'm pleased to say on this occasion they were! I'll definitely be ordering again. Thank you

Only two peonies bloomed

I’m not sure if I was unlucky or if they released their peony season flowers a little too early but I ordered a small bouquet of peonies and sadly only two opened fully the other six stayed close to budded in the 5 days since they arrived. Not great quality.

In the meantime, peonies can sometimes be a little shy! To encourage them to bloom, we recommend:

Trimming the stems: Cut about 2-3cm off at a 45-degree angle to help water absorption.

Use lukewarm water: Replace the vase water with lukewarm (not freezing) water, which helps stimulate the buds.

Temperature: Ensure they are kept in a bright spot away from direct sunlight or drafts. Often, a slight change to a warmer room can help stubborn buds open up.

Nevertheless, a fresh replacement is now arranged so you can enjoy the full, beautiful bloom of our peonies.

Excellent customer service…

Flowers sent to me from a friend however they were not in the best condition and drooped the next day. (This could have been the delivery company’s fault and or the supplier).
I contacted Appleyard by email. Max replied the same day with an apology and a promise to replace the flowers. They arrived the following day in perfect condition and the are still several days later still blooming and happy.

Humiliating

I was sent flowers, they were dead. We agreed a credit to my account and they sent it to the sender's account. The sender is hurt, upset, embarrassed and I think a bit angry with me. What a disgraceful thing to get wrong. I get flowers twice a year from a certain person from Appleyard, and they have never once been alive.

Poor quality flowers

I’m genuinely shocked at how poor the quality of flowers from Appleyard Flowers has been—especially given their positioning as a “luxury” brand and claims of being one of the best online florists in the UK.

My first order was for my mum on Mother’s Day, and several stems were already in bad condition. She had to throw some of them away the very next day. After I raised this, I was given a refund in credit, which I used to place a second order for my brother.

Unfortunately, the second bouquet was just as bad—if not worse. Four of the roses were completely wilted on arrival, one of the lily stems had two blooms missing and had clearly been cut off, and the rest of the bouquet was generally poor quality and nowhere near what you would expect for the price.

What makes this worse is how embarrassing it is to send flowers from a so-called high-end florist, only for the recipient to receive something that looks cheap and poorly put together. These are gifts that are meant to feel special, and instead they’ve caused disappointment twice.

At this price point, this is completely unacceptable. When you market yourself as a premium or luxury florist, there is an expectation of consistently high standards. In reality, I’ve received better quality flowers from a supermarket at a fraction of the cost.

I’ve now had to contact them again regarding the second order, which says everything about the lack of quality control. While customer service may respond, it doesn’t make up for the disappointment of sending gifts that feel subpar and unreliable.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering—based on my experience, the quality simply does not justify the price.

We were recently disappointed by the mother's day bouquet received from Appleyard Flowers. Many of the roses remained tight shut even after several days despite following their care instructions carefully on receipt. This unfortunately meant that a small looking bouquet for the price remained looking small and insignificant. This is in contrast to a M&S roses bouquet around the same time which bloomed beautifully at a lower price point which left us even more disappointed with Appleyard Flowers. Unlikely to order again.

£55 for 10 Peonies

Having had a very disappointing experience with a £55 bunch of Peonies.which was Such a shame and such a poor bouquet for the money.

I was then contacted by Max Lazarus from Appleyard he was very proactive in assisting me and sending me not only a full refund but also a replacement bouquet that really had the WOW factor.

Everyone is now happy and thank Appleyard for the reactive and proactive customer service. A rare thing these days!!
