Things needed to change
I had tried many diets in the past, gained weight after pregnancies, lost a lot lot of weight through extreme stress and anxiety then weight piled back on again through depression - I felt at my lowest and weakest. I reached out to Shane for some advice and help with how to move forward in a way that was healthy and consistent as I desperately wanted to change.
Even though I thought I already had an idea of how to be "healthy" I was challenged and surprised on how wrongly I was applying this and how much I needed to look at food and myself differently. Shane and karey set clear nutritional goals that were easily achievable and provided continual support accountability during the process. I have always struggled to find time to exercise but there was no pressure put on me to add this in. In fact, we were mainly focused on nutrition and I was able to see and feel my body composition changing over the months in a way that I was proud of my efforts for the first time, with negative thoughts of my own body image vastly improving. For me, it was a slower progression but I was encouraged to trust the process which helped me realise that this was to be a permanent solution to my overall health and not just a quick fix. My eating habits have changed, my view of myself has changed, my motivation has changed and all for the better. I now even have fitness goals, I've learned that prioritizing myself isn't selfish, I have more energy to do things with my boys (and they eat better too!) and I'm in a much better place mentally than I was before I joined the anti diet program.
I had been following Shane and Karey on social media since the COVID outbreak but just let the posts pass me by for a few years. My only regret is that I didn't reach out for help sooner. If you're on the fence, just go for it. Shane and Karey will help you make a permanent change, not a temporary one - your physical and mental health is important.
Shane and Karey, thank you so much ❤
