Undergoing LASIK surgery was truly life changing for me. Wearing specs or contacts just to be able to find a bathroom in a strange place was really getting me down and not being able to see the end of the stairs when walking down them in glasses wasn’t very safe.
The procedure itself was quick and virtually painless. Within a day, I noticed remarkable improvement in my vision. Well, in one eye. I managed to sabotage the great work but this was quickly resolved and in a very calming and reassuring way.

The new found clarity and freedom from glasses or contacts have significantly enhanced my daily life and I do not need glasses at all now. It really has been transformative and I’m grateful for the positive impact LASIK has had on my vision.

Follow up care also excellent with two further assessments by Mr Anderson in Jersey.

As someone who has an apprehensiveness of eyes this was a challenging task for me to undertake, however through numerous consultations Mr Anderson and his team explained everything to me thoroughly. In 2021 I had cataracts in both eyes, impairing my vision and requiring me to have 3 sets of specs - for driving, reading and painting. I opted for multifocal lens implants.

Two years later I had developed a very common problem following cataract surgery - posterior capsule opacification (PCO) - basically, blurred vision.
I decided to return to Mr Anderson for the YAG LASER treatment, which would make nano-sized holes in the back of my lens capsules, allowing more light to reach the retina and clear vision.
The YAG laser procedure was over in 15 minutes with absolutely no distress or pain. After 36 hours, my sight was restored to its original clarity and, still no specs.

Double cataract operation. The outcome was mind boggling.

I visited David due to a cloudiness developing in one of my eyes 2 years after cataract surgery. He was very thorough in examining my eyes, explaining what the treatment was and then performing the procedure. My wife was with me, he showed her the video whilst getting me ready, allowed her to watch and then to examine my eye through the equipment he used. First class!

I am sending this in on behalf of my husband who recently had YAG procedure on both eyes and what an excellent experience all round from start to finish. He would highly recommend David Anderson as his expertise is second to none.
Also the service recieved from all staff involved including Nuffield hospital was faultless .
