Would give no stars if possible. Blame myself partly for not reading reviews on TP before ordering. The products look wonderful on FB and it seemed to be based in UK. Actually took some time to arrive and was coming from China. Product of poor quality and looked nothing like the photos. After many very polite emails offering me replacement or partial refund I returned the items registered post. The package arrived in China but the company insisted it hadn’t arrived with them and they were following up with customs. Emails back and forth until the email was returned not deliverable.

Ordered dungarees which took along time to come. Then I needed to send them back. Had very helpful emails from a Olivia M and on 23.09.25 sent the dungarees back recorded delivery. December 2025 still hadn’t heard from them or had a refund. So tried to email them again and the just kept sending my emails back. I just would like someone to email and explain what is happening. A very dissatisfied customer .

Ordered a pair of dungarees that I thought were coming from UK but took a long time to come from China. They eventually arrived an apart from the colour were totally different from the photo. The material being the cheapest synthetic fabric. I requested a refund and followed instructions to return and have been waiting four months for them to refund. I sent them back with tracking and the package has been held in customs in china waiting for information from Alva Boutique. That’s £40 down the drain. Keep clear and do not buy from them.

I would agree with a previous review, I too have been waiting 3 months for a refund. It is appalling that this company can get away with this sort of thing. They did not make it clear that they operated from oversees anywhere on the website. Al in all - an awful shopping experience. Steer well clear

Terrible quality and terrible customer service still awaiting a refund nearly 3 months after returning items. Feel really stupid that I have been scammed. Do not purchase from them at all 🤬🤬🤬

Appalling cheap thin polyester type fabric, items nothing like website, impossible to get a refund, don’t get lured into the free replacement item if you just pay P and P, you’re just loosing more money …shouldn’t be allowed to trade…?

0 star from me. Quality is awful, polyester rubbish. Made to look like uk company but it's yet another fraudulent cheap China con. Don't order from them the pictures on the website are nothing like what you will receive, the beautiful white ladies adversity how great the clothes are are fake. Probably the worst garments I've ever ordered. Primark is better quality. When you complain a robirt answers your email called Olivia. I received emails intended for other complainants. Should not be allowed a UK address.

When my order finally arrived after nearly a month I found the dungarees, I bought two pairs, to be nothing like I expected. They were made of very thin material badly stitched and when nothing at all like the pictures promising a strong cotton/linen blend.
When I complained, I do say they were very quick to respond and helpful. They eventually offered me a 40% refund so I didn’t have to send them all the way back to China. I will give them away to a charity shop, but I really don’t think anyone will want them! Basically £79 wasted!
How do they made it clear they were coming from China I would never have bought them in the first place – I should have looked at the reviews a lesson learned!

Like other reviewers I now see here, my experience has been awful. I received a small EMPTY packet that could never have contained a pair of dungarees unless they were made for a doll.
This is a scam and a lesson to not buy from an advert on FB in future.

The shirt I ordered is well made and pretty.
Unfortunately, the dungarees I ordered before the shirt hasn't arrived.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Having paid early £72 for 2 pairs of dungarees that looked lovely on the pictures - they are absolutely awful. Cheap, nasty, badly made.
I've requested a full refund.

Just awful and I can’t be bothered to try and send back as never will get refund. Just out in bin and put it down to experience

Cheap and shapeless - do not even think about ordering a dress from them - I returned it to the return address clearly displayed on the envelope for which they would not accept responsibility- in the end I got 40% refund - it's a sham!

Further to my previous comment….I was offered 30% refund….I asked for 50%….settled for 40% then I thought no! So I contacted my bank for a chargeback….told Alva….they were not happy and offered 100% refund and don’t bother to return clothes….they definitely didn’t want to be investigated!! I’m almost certain any mention of investigation will cause these crooks to back down….my items will be in the charity shop this week if anyone is desperate enough to buy them!

This company is a scam. Clothes arrived 3 weeks later after a number of holding emails, quality is terrible and don't look like the ones on the website.

See the other reviews on this site - wish I'd read them before I wasted my time and money.

Scam, totally and completely

Definitely a scam site, which promises locally (UK) sourced goods packed lovingly in a UK studio.... Except the goods are shipped from China, therefore taking ages to be delivered (if they are delivered at all) with no option to return for a refund unless you pay yourself to send it back to the 'warehouse in China' When you complain you get a sob story about them being a struggling local business who has had to close down their UK studio. All nonsense, as other 1 star reviews confirm. I thought I had done my due diligence before ordering, but clearly not!

This website alvaboutique.co.uk is yet another Chinese scam site. I’m sure the business model is extremely lucrative for the fraudsters/criminals behind it.
They purport to be a struggling business yet will be making a huge amount of money by selling very cheap clothes that nobody will ever be happy with.
The website was only incorporated relatively recently and to all
Intents and purposes looks bonafide. Yet when you read deeper about returns, you need to send, at your own expense, your piece of worthless material back to China.
Companies House does not have a UK footprint for Alva Boutique.
E mails from them send out a sob sob story of a struggling business yet, when in reality it’s a well organised criminal outfit designed to elicit money from unsuspecting customers.
More importantly, if you order from them , they will have all of your personal details including credit card details. Another good income stream for the people behind these frauds.
