I'd like to begin by saying, yes, I'm a pervert into some kinky things so I thought I would try this site out. As a free member, I was able to talk to other "people" but it was very limited. However, I was getting enough attention that the 3-month subscription looked enticing. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing anything. As soon as i purchased my subscription, my inbox was literally littered with messages. Unfortunately, they were ALL fakes/bots/scammers. Also mistresses but I'm not a sub so there went the 1% real people. I'm talking 40 to 50 messages almost instantaneously that I had to sift through. The best part is that every "person" I've had a conversation with so far has asked for money. I was even propositioned by actual prostitutes or at least someone trying to scam some money from me that spent several days pretending to be into me, then revealing they're all mine for $500 plus some kind of insurance in case I break them? In addition to all of that, less than a week into my 3-month subscription, not a single message, not a single reply to my messages. Not even crickets. Upon doing a match search, I noticed fewer "local" matches and former local matches now appeared on a non-specific location search in completely different states. A few days later I pleaded with Alt.com to cancel my subscription and refund my money, even just a part of it. Anything. But they denied me and stated they can't which is absolute bs. Bottom line: Don't do it. Unless you're a sub that enjoys crawling around in diapers and getting their junk squashed by a pair of stilettos and it's still probably just a bot or someone that will ask you for money. Reporting to better business and authorities for illegal content and soliciting illegal activities. Don't know if it'll do anything but I'd certainly like to see companies like these burn.

Funny how fast the emails and flirts suddenly ramp up right after a premium membership ends.

Horrible! I've been on here a little over a month and contacted 18-20 women through the site. Almost every woman I contacted had their hand out for money. The ones that didn't ask disappeared when I asked them to have a video chat. They just stopped writing. Some said money first. Searching their images through Google Images or Tineye and I often found them using pictures of porn stars. I also found a few profiles with the exact same wording describing the person. Different name, different state, different picture, different age, same exact description, verbatim. Save your money until the owners of the site decide to get rid of the scammers.

Fraud - charge you £1 for the one week trial then overcharge you £29!!! After weeks of complaining to customer service, they will not refund and it is clearly a scam system! Avoid at all cost

First off - if you do get a paid membership IMMEDIATELY turn off the auto renewal! It is easier to renew than to attempt to get your money back if your account hits auto renew.

Second, if you really want to try and find a play partner or whatever, sign up with Fetlife.com. It is free, there are thousands of groups catering to various tastes, and it is free. It will take more work to find your groups, make connections, and find what you are seeking but, in the end, it will save you time!

I signed up for a Gold package for three months - about $100. I quickly realized the filters do not filter to all of your specifications or the profiles you have blocked in order to keep the "numbers" pumped up. Plus, since I am under no illusions of 30 somethings being attracted to a 60+ year old, fat, balding man, I knew that being contacted by 2-3 women much younger was a scam. I do not know if they were bots or what but it was annoying. I even turned off notifications and still got them.

Another issue is some of the profiles have not been active in YEARS! I have to wonder how many were deleted by the customers but kept by Alt.com, again, to pump up their numbers?

I contacted customer service about the filters and they gave answers barely better than "turn the computer off for a minute and then back on". They also said they could not replicate the issue. Really?

And, for those of you who do not know this, Adult Friend Finder is run by the same bunch with the same issues.

I would give them a lower rating but it is not set up for that.

I just bought a silver membership to this scam of a website. It's FULL of bots and fake profiles to bolster their so-called user base. It DOESN'T have that many users. The profiles on ALT are as fake as the below reviews. AVOID THIS SCAM. You will sign up and immediately be inundated with countless fake messages all saying pretty much the same thing and phishing for your information. They ARE fake!! To make matters worse, even with a membership, the amount of messages and chatting with REAL people is limited to a 'point' system which the bots quickly use up. Once your allotted points for the day are used up, for your 'security' the website says, you have to buy more if you want to continue talking to people, or wait until the following day for it to reset. They say you can contact technical support and they will reset it free of charge. I tried this and still have not received a response. This is my warning to you, look elsewhere, or proceed at your own financial risk.

Steer clear, no matter how horny you are. So many fake profiles on there that it quickly becomes obvious. It also seemsthat Alt activelytry to lure people by having staff reach out throughthe fake profiles.

As an example, anyone from Blackall QLD is not real. It'sa tiny place with a lot of profilesand I had someone who, by their poor English, I'm guessing is Russian, try to con me.

I ran a few Pictures in google reverse image search and they came back to different sites. I even knew some of the Pictures from Pornstars etc. I can only recommend you to NOT spent any money on this site. Its very likely to be a scam.

It is disastrous. My own experience: Female members are 95% scammers. The rest 5% are bored people who just want to talk dirty online. Do not waste your money or time with this site.

I've been on alt.com for close to 15 years.. it used to be good... until 2016 when they had a HUGE security breech... since then the site has been increasingly duplicitous with it's billing, bots and it's policy regarding fake accounts. You can report copyrighted images and they do nothing, you can send screen shots of scammers and they do nothing. They post your profile on several of their sites without your permission and you cant delete them. If I could give them zero stars.. I certainly would!

There are hardly any real profiles on this site. They waste your time and eventually ask for money in some form.

It's a big scam and the owners don't care. The company should be investigated by the authorities.

Forget about this place, a couple of years ago, it was good and I had several good connections, but management/owners have changed, and they changed the site into a money gouging site, where customer service gives you a runaround, they refuse to close and delete your account, and tries to keep billing you after you tried to end service. (I had to change my debit card because of this to stop them). Worse, the only folks responding seem to be models and prostitutes who demand cash up front for any of their time. It's time to leave there if you are still a member, if considering joining, DON'T!

Alt.com deserves Minus 5 stars....
I had been a member for many years and seen this site decline, now frequented by 'money scammers' honeypot dupes, , the site offers no protection at all, the Police have informed me they are breaking many laws, it is owned by a big company, I strongly advise anyone decent to look elsewhere.

So many bots asking for your phone number! The site is a joke unless you want to only video chat with others.

Got "catfished" on this site, for $200. Absolute nonsense, and it was obvious this person was doing the same thing to multiple others at the same time she was doing it to me(took five minutes for her to get back to my instant messages, admitted she was lying about how much she goes through in iTunes cards per month, and figured out her fake bedtime routine). Heard somebody tell me to demand video chat to prove it's who they claim to be, which I never did.

As a free member, I got frequent emails from beautiful young women. When I paid for a 1 month subscription, the frequent emails stopped. When my 1 month expired, I again got frequent emails from beautiful young women. So, what does that tell me? The frequent emails are scams to encourage you to subscribe. There are a few legitimate people on alt, so if you just ignore the obvious scams, you might find what you're looking for. Alt would be a better place if they embraced honesty and integrity and stopped the scamming. We can see you, alt.com and we're smarter than that...
