It was dull. The dermatologist wasn't too sharp. And they charged far too much for nothing. I regret ever going there.

One star is too many
One star is too many. My appointment was at 10:15. Finally 40 minutes later I approached the desk. It seems they forgot me. Other people after me were going in before me. They overbook people. I asked for a refund and left. Never will I go there again.
DECLINED CASH PAYMENT AND ADVISED 3% SURCHARGE FOR CREDIT
Company changed locations without proper notice. They did remind me of my upcoming appt. by text with address of business at bottom of text. Never read past reminder of appt as I have been to their location several timed. An alert notice at beginning of text would have been beneficial.
Arriving seven minutes late I was told their was a 20.00 copay. I handed the lady a 20.00 bill but was told we don't accept cash (legal tender)
Handing her my credit card she told me there would be a 3 % surcharge for using credit. I advised her that she had rejected cash and it was bad business to now apply a surcharge for credit. (poor business model)
I told her to cancel my appointment as I would find another provider and left.
I have always had good experience with Dr. Whitney but this business model is flawed and will not return.
Getting through to them is impossible…
Getting through to them is impossible by phone. They keep switching you from prompt to prompt to prompt. This goes on and on endlessly. I will continue giving bad reviews due to this. It is not the first time they have done this.

Seemed to have received good care until I called for an appt and they would not schedule me as the insisted I had an outstanding bill. I have two insurances and ZERO BALANCE DUE. My plan has no balance billing. I've not received any service not covered by my plan. I've left messages for and office manager to call no response meanwhile I have a rare condition in a sensitive area. that requires regular medication so as not to become cancerous. Can't even get a refill for this topical med until bill is straightened out. If I don't hear from them this week. I will report to the BBB and the medical board, etc.

I went here for two spots that I believe could be skin cancer. After waiting for almost an hour I was quickly seen by a doctor who rushed in and looked at the spots and immediately grabbed the canister and asked if I wanted to have them Frozen off. To which I said it yes but he never explained what these spots were and never gave me any other option. The spots are still there and now I'm going to have to go to another doctor because what he did did absolutely nothing but cause a scab. I was supposed to have received a prescription that was to be called into my Pharmacy and 5 days later the pharmacy still has not received it. Every time I call I get pushed to a voicemail and nobody ever answers or response. Don't waste your money going here. If you hit your deductible they will say it's a cosmetic charge. Even though it was only $25 that was $25 I could have spent elsewhere and gotten much better results. This is the second time I've gone to one of these clinics and have the same treatment. Don't waste your time or money. They may have MD and their initials but these are not doctors they are money grabbers.
Former Office Manager
Former office manager of 2 southern Maryland offices and I know alot of horrible things. I recommend a couple providers but that’s it. The rest have no business practicing medicine, upper management offers no support to leadership in office, they over charge under service and the majority of staff do not respect leadership nor are properly trained leading to burn out for all involved including myself. Theres a provider who allegedly physically assaulted a patient for making her upset and was still and is still practicing with ADCS. I am the whistle blower because ethics, compliance, compassion is being overshadowed with corruption, chaos and incompetence. I wanted better for southern Maryland but unfortunately got caught up and started to become someone i didnt recognize. I recommend anyone to go into any of the southern Maryland offices and just sit and observe. Its so sad. Providers who disrespect staff, staff who think they are providers, short staff, dirty disorganization. I had hoped adcs would turn around but it has not and will not unless someone comes in and does a complete sweep.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience using this practice. Staff has no clue on how to properly write a Rx. I gave up trying to work with such incompetent staff and have selected a new dermatologist.
Office location: Carillon, St. Pete, FL
Proceed with Caution
While the PA-C that I saw was helpful, the office staff and experience was extremely unprofessional. By far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced. Upon checking in for my appointment, the front desk staff lost my personal ID and insurance card. I was provided the office managers contact information to inquire about reimbursement for replacement of the lost items and despite several phone calls, voicemails and messages, I still have not received a call back regarding this issue, months later. I even requested assistance from the finance department, and they too have been unable to connect me with the office manager to be reimbursed for my lost items.
While the practitioners that I've had…
While the practitioners that I've had were good, operationally their office appears inept.
Issues:
1. It took two phone calls and about an hour in order to book an appointment through their off-site phone service.
2. Their automated service instructs you to call their office, with any problems, but there's no phone number offered for this path and their office manager's voicemail ( if call center forwarding works) offers to call back in a day or so. Based on their handling of phone calls, the patient/customer is not important.
3. There are Daily robotic phone calls to confirm your appointment.
Conclusion:
Check out other reviews! My experience appears common.
If you like dealing with automated operations that will likely hose up your valuable time & ignore office operation problems that develop, you've found the medical office of your dreams.
Extra Charge to Pay Copay with Credit Card
My problem with Advanced Dermatology is their change in payment procedures. When I went to check-out, I had a $35 copay. When I offered a credit card to pay, I was told that I would be assessed an additional 3% of the copay amount. Apparently, this is to offset the fee that Advanced Dermatology is charged by credit card companies. So I offered to pay cash. But I was told that they do not accept cash. You can pay by credit card, check or debit card. Since I don't carry checks with me and do not have a debit card, my visit cost me 3% more. My advice to any customer of Advanced Dermatology is to ask them to bill you for the copay so that you can pay by check and avoid the extra charge.
The Corporate System for scheduling STINKS
My former dermatologist sold her practice to Advance Dermatology back in the mid-late 2000. I had loved the practice. Once Advanced Dermatology took over, the scheduling of appointments is unnecessarily complicate. No one can ever answer, they always have to call back in 24 hrs. You can never speak to the front desk of you local doctor's office. It really stinks. The doctors are not the problem, it is the micromanaging ot the way to actual speak to a human being. Also, they always try to schedule me with a Nurse Practioner when I want my doctor. I have about had it with them. Also they do not have a call back reminder system about appointments or email or text option to remind me of my appointment. I am old so that is important to help me be AT my appointment. I will be looking elsewhere
Surgical Scheduling Department lacks follow through
I had an appointment with Advanced Dermatology in San Marco in July for what was determined to be two pilar cysts on my scalp. It was recommended that the two pilar cysts be surgically removed. Requests were forwarded to the surgical scheduling department for two appointments to be made for the two separate cyst removal. At that time, the scheduling department gave me one surgical appointment date in October. I was told that the November calendar was not available.
From there it became a cat and mouse chase with me calling Advanced Dermatology several times over and over leaving voice mail after voice mail trying to secure a second surgical appointment.
Apparently, when the November surgical scheduling calendar became available, the scheduling team neglected to secure a surgery date and time for a second surgical appointment on my behalf. They allowed my need for a second surgical appointment to fall through the cracks. Many phone calls later and more voice messages after voice messages, I now have a second surgical pilar cyst removal appointment in December. The Advanced Dermatology surgical scheduling department could improve their attention to detail instead of putting the burden on the patient to make call after call after call after call after call to rectify what should have been their professional approach to assuring that the patient had two surgical appointments secured. I am extremely disappointed with Advanced Dermatology's lack of professionalism and follow through on the patient's behalf.
I strongly urge you to steer clear of…
I strongly urge you to steer clear of this facility, specifically if your appointment is with Reeli Reanu. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Reanu's unprofessionalism and lack of bedside manner were glaringly apparent from the start. She seemed in a hurry to get rid of me, barely listening to my concerns and offering one treatment option that required additional approvals. Unfortunately, she couldn't even get the paperwork right and ended up falsifying information about the exams she supposedly conducted.
My condition is not life threatening, but if I were dealing with something more severe, I wouldn't trust her with it. Her incompetence is not just a personal inconvenience; it has serious implications for patient care. The entire office seems to be suffering because of her deficiencies. Although the office manager was somewhat decent, addressing my concerns only led to Reeli banning me from the practice. This happened despite my need for in-office treatments after multiple ER visits.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. There are plenty of competent dermatologists nearby who genuinely care about their patients. Don’t waste your time or money on this underperforming establishment.

Dr youngmann is only interested in money , takes no time with you , only wants to see what insurance you have so he can do more tests !!! RIPOFF!!! Do yourself a favor go somewhere else read the reviews
Terrible
Terrible. No one picks up the phone or returns calls. My daughter is 14 and having issues to her medicine. I called for two days to get an appointment and speak with a nurse/Dr. about her symptoms and no one called me back. I ended calling the emergency line on 6/8/24 at 9:02pm and the on call Dr. was rude, unhelpful, and provided zero guidance. With so many other practices in the DMV area, if you are reading this please find another place. Don’t waste your time here.
Go somewhere else it isn't worth it!
One of the worst medical experiences of my life and I will never go back to this office! I had never been to this office before and wish I had read the reviews before going. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment and waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes before I was finally brought back to a room. I would say approximately 5 patients who checked in after me were led back first. I was in the room another 30 minutes before I saw the doctor, who said I'm sorry for the wait we are trying something new and had a mix up, but clearly based on the reviews that is not the case they just are not capable of managing their appointment times adequately. I was with the doctor for 15 minutes only to be diagnosed with what I already knew I had. Then told let's try this medication and if it doesn't work, we will try this other medication. I asked what the side effects of this other medication were and was told nothing serious. When I looked it up cancer and heart/circulation problems such as heart attack and blood clots in the lungs or legs were among the serious sides effects that may occur. I would cleverly deduce that these are serious side effects and not ones I am willing to risk. The doctor also acted like the autoimmune skin disease I was just diagnosed with was some common occurrence when in fact only 2% to 5% of humans in the world have this diagnosis and it is forever. I wasn’t even told it was an autoimmune disease, I knew it was because another family member has it. Upon leaving they scheduled a follow up appointment with me for 30 days later. I canceled 48 hours in advance, and they had the audacity to change me $50.00 for a no show/late cancelation fee.
General Care & billing practices
I had a skin lesion burnt off. The PA barely acknowledged me, giving minimal eye contact. After treatment, he said come back in 3 weeks. On the 2nd visit...still no eye contact or acknowledgement. The lesion had reduced to 1 mm in diameter and he cryo burned it again- this time to about 14mm in diameter. There were no instructions on how to care for the treated area and the resulting very large blister. It'll be ok as I'm monitoring closely. I had to go online to download care instructions from competing dermatologists. The care seemed substandard tbh.
They charged this as surgery. PA didn't wash his hands, didn't prep the area, and didn't bandage the area on both visits. At the very minimum, a surgery should be clean. At the end he said to the room "come back as needed" and left. I had to ask for a bandaid from the 'nurse'.
The admin then proceeded to attempt to collect the amt that they should bill the insurance. I asked to be billed after the insurance remitted what they would pay. They agreed. IMO, it seems they're bullying people to pay up front. I imagine older individuals would be comply even tho they say they accept insurance. Can you imagine the nightmare if they overbilled you? How long would it take for them to send back money? How much time would you have to spend to get them to agree they owe money and to write a check? How long it would take for them to generate said check? They're banking on that, pun intended. Many give up.
Last, Advanced Dermatology bills the patient the 3% that they are billed by the credit card companies. This 3% is a surcharge by the credit card company for that business' privilege of having a CC billing system. They don't tell the patient that they are going to collect this beforehand. They could include this info up front, or in their reminder emails (but it might cost them patients perhaps?). They also don't tell the patient that they only take exact change if he/she wants to avoid this unwarranted charge. Make sure to take quarters, pennies, nickels, dimes, dollar bills, 5s, 10s and 20s with you so you dont have to pay the 3% that is their responsibilty over your deductible amount. You pay this before you can be seen.
They seem to be a well-oiled machine when it comes to collecting money but when it comes to care.. maybe not so much. I saw a doctor 20 years ago at this office but the last few times that my husband and I went, we could not get a doctor. I think we are done.
Inquiry About Consultation
All I Did Was Ask How Much A Consultation Would Be, The Woman On The Phone Was Soooo Condescending That I Just Hung Up.
I won’t go back.
I have been three times and they have been unable to properly address an issue I am having. Very very expensive that you have to keep paying for because they can’t properly address the issue. Going to a new dermatologist. Oh and prior to that they misdiagnosed a brown recluse spider bite causing sepsis that caused me to land in the ER two days after the misdiagnoses. Follow up has been horrible and takes too long.
Horrible bedside manners and no follow up
I was given a skin biopsy on 1 Feb 2024 and was told it should take 7-10 business days for the pathology. I asked the PA if I should worry about these next 7-10 business days, and she said "yes". I called on business day 8 and they said, "you'll have it at the end of the week" then I called today, business day 12 and she said she would call the lab. I called in the morning and never heard back. It is now 16 days after my appointment and I have no idea if I have cancer.
