Super Service bei Adobe
Der gesamte Prozess der Vermietung funktionierte einwandfrei. Wir mieteten den Wagen online, alle Fragen wurden umgehend beantwortet, und alles nötige in die Wege geleitet. Bei der Abholung waren wir 2 Stunden zu früh dort, konnten den Wagen aber trotzdem sofort mitnehmen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, kompetent und die Abwicklung sehr schnell erledigt. Wir konnten den Wagen in Ruhe anschauen, Fotos machen, und der Mitarbeiter hat uns alles Wichtige gezeigt, sowie alle relevanten Informationen über das Fahren auf den Strassen von Costa Rica mitgeteilt. Der Wagen war in einem Top-Zustand, sauber und hatte erst 37'000 Km. Die Rückgabe nach 12 tagen dauerte nur wenige Minuten, und im Anschluss wurden wir mit dem Shuttle an den Flughafen gebracht. Ich kann nur Positives berichten, und würde sofort wieder einen Wagen bei Adobe mieten. Pura Vida!

They did a great job of supplying a car…
They did a great job of supplying a car for My family of six. They did not pester me about adding insurance I didn’t need. Their shuttle service back to the airport was just a little insufficient. There was not enough rides to get everybody to the airport in a reasonable amount of time. We had to be aggressive in order to get to the airport on time. Otherwise everything was very good.
I would definitely use them again. Quick and easy to get in and out. No efforts to sell me a bunch of things.

Costa Rica - Refus du loueur ADOBE de prendre ma carte VISA 1er
Après avoir rempli tous les documents sur place et présenté un document de mon service bancaire attestant que ma carte Visa 1er couvrait la garantie supplémentaire CDW, au moment de payer l'assurance obligatoire, ma carte a été refusée. Motif évoqué par le loueur : ma carte est invalide ou j'ai un problème bancaire. Une deuxième tentative dans une autre agence ADOBE s'est révélée également infructueuse !!! Même commentaire d'ADOBE !!!!
Après avoir contacté ma banque et le service bancaire, ceux-ci m'ont confirmé qu'il n'y avait aucun problème ! De plus, je précise que j'ai effectué la plupart de mes achats sur place avec cette même carte bancaire et je n'ai eu aucun souci....
Par ailleurs, sur Internet, j'ai vu que la carte Visa 1er n'était pas prise en compte contrairement aux dires du loueur. Dans tous les cas, et compte tenu que mon problème n'a existé qu'AVEC ADOBE, je subodore que ce loueur refuse cette carte afin d'obliger les gens à payer la couverture de garantie supplémentaire.... et si ce n'est pas le cas, alors qu'ADOBE m'en donne la preuve et me rembourse donc une garantie que je n'aurais pas dû payer !!
Dans sa réponse, le loueur ne répond pas au problème de la carte Visa 1er qu’il refuse mais sa réponse est claire : les routes du Costa Rica nécessitent une assurance complémentaire. Donc à prendre en dépit de la couverture de la Visa 1ER qui couvre bien plus !

We rented a 4×4 for our two-week holiday in Costa Rica from this car rental company. The car was in perfect condition, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. It was a pleasure renting from them, and we would definitely do it again if needed.

Terrible Experience – Hidden Fees & Misleading Information
I had a very disappointing experience with Adobe Rent a Car Costa Rica and Mytanfeet.com. I booked a rental car through Mytanfeet, and before booking, I specifically asked about the insurance fees. They assured me that the basic coverage I selected was sufficient and that I wouldn’t be forced into any extra charges. However, when I arrived at Adobe Rent a Car, I was told that I had to pay an additional 30% of the rental price for extra coverage—something I was never informed about.
Adobe claimed I needed credit card insurance, which is not even available in Europe, making it impossible for me to comply with their requirement. Despite Mytanfeet stating that the extra coverage was optional, Adobe refused to rent me the car unless I paid for it. So, in reality, it was never optional. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch scam—advertising one price but forcing customers to pay much more upon arrival.
I trusted Mytanfeet because they seemed like a reliable source of information, but they completely misled me. Either they are intentionally deceiving customers or have no real control over Adobe’s shady pricing tactics. Both companies are at fault, and I would strongly advise others to avoid using either of them.
If you don’t want to deal with hidden fees, misleading information, and forced extra charges, stay away from Adobe Rent a Car Costa Rica and Mytanfeet.com!

Thank you very much for your feedback, and we regret that you had an unsatisfactory experience. We would like to clarify that at Adobe Rent a Car, we do not have hidden fees. However, if the vehicle delivery is requested at a location 3 hours away from our office, as in your case, there is an additional charge for the drop-off service, which is clearly outlined in our terms and conditions.
Furthermore, when the service details are properly coordinated in advance, everything can be made much easier. When the drop-off location is changed multiple times, it complicates the logistics, which can affect the service provided.

The car was delivered to our hotel even earlier than we had requested. Our representative from Adobe was kind & courteous & very efficient. He had all the paperwork ready for us to sign & when we did the walk-around to check the car, it was HIM that noticed places on the car we missed!!!

1000$ cobrados (no depósito), no devueltos
Tras entregar el vehículo en San José, y casi un mes después, sigo sin recibir la devolución en mi tarjeta de los 1000$ de depósito. Fue cobrado por contact less y nadie responde a mis correos. Proseguiré reclamando a Rentalcar, ya que no responden. Alguien que le haya pasado?

Hola Antonio. Te agradecería que nos pudieras contactar a: servicioalcliente@adobecar.com o brindarnos tu número de contrato o reservación para poder ver tu caso. Te aclaro que los depósitos no se cobran y por lo tanto, no se devuelve el dinero. El proceso es que se consulta el monto y luego se libera el monto, pero no hay un cargo real; es solo una consulta. Normalmente se libera el monto tan rápido que no se refleja en tu estado de cuenta. Quedamos a la espera de los datos o tu correo para enviarte la documentación que soporte esto para tu tranquilidad.

Son una muy buena opción para darse una escapada y pegarse un "ride" cualquier día de la semana ya que sus vehículos siempre los entregan limpios y en buenas condiciones.

Adobe in Costa Rica (SJO branch) is the best rental company I've ever used. Firstly, insurance is unfortunately expensive in CR but unlike other companies I tried, Adobe was very transparent about all costs online and there were no hidden costs on arrival.
Secondly, during my trip I was involved in a car accident (not my fault) and Adobe were super helpful. After the accident, I called their support number and they were very helpful in explaining next steps (good English too) and sorting everything relating to insurance on my behalf, even had a WhatsApp chat with near instant responses.
When I returned my car (that had about £1,000 of damage), the paperwork was very simple and easy, the staff were very helpful, and there were no hidden costs (I did have full insurance), I was expecting some kind of admin fee or something due to the accident & damage to the car, but my deposit was returned in full. The staff were all super helpful and down to earth, just genuinely nice people trying to do a great job. Usually get a sense that car rental staff are trying to screw you over but not here. Highly recommend!

These guys are the best
Roger and the team in Liberia are amazing. They always go out of their way to give me great service when I visit. I use them at least once a year. Excellent service. Great prices. They are the only car rental company I would recommend.

After several trips to Costa Rica and encountering surprises with "hidden" costs at various car rental agencies, I went to AI and asked ... "when booking a rental car in Costa Rica, which is the best company to deal with and which is the worst?" Try it yourself and it'll say ADOBE as the best.
It was a pleasure to deal with Adobe's booking agent Magic ...(yes that's her real name). She guided me to the best possible deal by booking online with MyTanFeet.com. That gesture alone saved us an additional $240 USD from the original quote. She didn't have to do that. Plus, the fact that Adobe answers the phone, has the largest fleet in Costa Rica and is open 24/7 gives me great comfort in a country where renting a car can be a nightmare. On top of that, Magic asked for my flight info and has assured me that someone will be there to pick us up on arrival with the driver holding our name on a sign. Kudos so far. Looking forward to the experience and comforted already knowing that our rental quote is "ALL IN" with no surprises. Pura Vida.
