My experience with ACES for my surgery was excellent and I am quite impressed with ACES procedure. Staff were excellent and supportive.
The clinician acted professionally in conducting the surgery. Well done to ACES in Dartford branch.

The staff were very polite, professional and relaxed. When I had a query after leaving the clinic, I was able to wait until the optician was free and go in again to ask my question. I was impressed with how easy that was to do. Thank you.

Due to confusion created by ACES contacting me to change my appointment time to an hour earlier I ended up spending three hours in the Outllook Express clinic but apart from that the whole procedure was handled very smoothly and profesionally by very hard working staff, I just hope the upcoming surgery is as good.

I have attended the eye clinics today every one so lovely and helpful great service thank you to everyone

I was made to feel at ease, only one surgeon on and a lot of people to see but never felt under pressure, was made to feel comfortable, everything they were going to do was examined to me we pleased with the outcome

Had two successive cataracts. Incredibly slow progress. I am convinced one procedure was rushed. Eventually had to enlist aid of my optician to get them to act on poor after-care. Still have a clear problem with one eye and am getting push back over further assistance. I am waiting for local Royal hospital Liverpool appointment to rectify the damage.

I've had cataracts done in both eyes at ACES Wisbech, a couple of years apart and can't fault the service there at all! Silky smooth process from start to finish, no issues before or after surgery. Highly recommended :-)

Been under their care for over 2 years when my opticians found a problem

Very quick response to my referral, then I was booked in for my first eye operation in a month and the second operation a month later.
All the staff are excellent and friendly nothing to much trouble and make sure you are happy.

Staff kind and friendly. Sorted out my mistake re Appointment time quickly and without fuss. I was well looked after and kept well informed about what was being done.

I cannot give them enough praise.

Delayed appointment (again). There was no patient confidentiality and I was expected to discuss personal information in close proximity to other patients. Staff were hurried and muddled. The surgeon treated me as an object on a conveyor belt with no communication or care. I'm dreading the second eye surgery.

Theatre staff was lovely kind caring but staff on reception rude and disorganised had appointment cancelled twice before actual appointment

I had a cataract removed on my left eye, and was told that my vision will be a lot better and clearer within 48 hours, now 2 months later my vision is still a lot worse, I can't drive because my left eye is still all blurry. So I wish that I never had my cataract removed as my vision was 10 times better before Surgery than what it is now. Very Disappointed with the outcome. Jackie

My grandparents arrived on time for their scheduled 9:00am appointment. Unfortunately, they were left outside the building for approximately 25 minutes in the cold before being allowed inside. This was particularly distressing as my grandmother was in a wheelchair and my grandfather suffers from dementia.
Once they were eventually allowed inside, they were left waiting for a further 45 minutes without any acknowledgement or support from staff. During this time, refreshments such as tea were offered to other patients in the waiting area, but my grandparents were completely ignored.
At around 9:45am they were informed that the doctor was running late. After already waiting for a considerable amount of time, they were then told that the procedure could not go ahead because my grandfather has dementia. This information should already have been available in his medical records and should have been communicated prior to the appointment being arranged.
They were then questioned about having Power of Attorney, despite never being advised beforehand that this would be required for the eye procedure. The way this was handled by staff, particularly the receptionist, was extremely rude and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, my grandparents were then escorted off the premises without receiving the treatment they had attended for. My grandfather has now returned home still suffering with vision problems in one eye due to the appointment not being carried out.
The lack of care, compassion, and organisation shown towards two vulnerable elderly patients was completely unacceptable. The way they were treated was distressing and falls far below the standards expected of an NHS service.

Last year had cataract op on both eyes all was good.
Had follow up appointment booked 13/03/26.
Arrive at Wisbech clinic by 10am to be told appointment was cancelled without any reason given! I was not notified!
It took a lot of effort to get there because of mobility and disability problems, so angry.

Every thing has been great from the start the assessment reception staff were great leading onto the clinicle staff preparation for the op in three weeks time The instructions were well explained with times and dates etc. Went to the Fakenham hospital and again the reception was great and the op went well was in and out within the hour. I can see a lot better out of the right eye now, and I get the before and after effect when I shut one eye and look thru the other eye and then do it with the other eye. The difference is amazing. I am looking forward to having the other eye done in a couple of weeks.
