Ace Med Boards played a big role for me in my step 1 journey. I took an entire year off to take my step 1 exam, and working with Kelvin was a game changer. Not only did he help me implement a strategy that definitely got me points on test day, but also helped me increase my confidence within myself. I had a really weak foundation and felt that Kelvin was very patient with me and helped me fill in those gaps. Ace Med Boards truly helped me at a time where I needed it the most. Step 1 is a no joke. I was struggling with test taking strategies and Ace helped me out tremendously. Kelvin was an amazing tutor. He guided me through questions, helped me eliminate answer choices, and overall was someone that helped me with my confidence for this exam. He makes sure that you know what you are doing and not just randomly picking answers. My sisters recommended this tutoring service to me and they swore by it and they weren’t wrong. I reached out to Acemed when I exhausted all other options and just needed that extra push to help me up. They were kind enough to reach out super fast and Mohit got in touch with me and set me up with my tutor Kelvin. He was basically godsend , because he helped me tackle questions with a different view all together and helped me put stuff together conceptually than base solely on memorisation. He helped with my speed and was always ready to answer questions that i had. He insisted on me not doubting my process and that helped me so much on exam day. All in all , I had such a great time and I feel like it was the best last minute decision that I made and I'm super glad to have gotten Kelvin as my tutor.

I found this tutoring company at a low time in my studies and MD career. Right away they were super helpful and genuine. I reached out to a different testing company and they just seemed a little more superficial than ACE. With the help of Mohit, Ace set me up with a tutor right away and gave me a rundown of how their platform works and what my schedules would look like. My tutor Kelvin was super helpful! He stressed the importance of basically recentering yourself in gratitude and peace in order to be successful with tackling challenges like the step exam. He was super genuine, personable, always quick to respond and gave advice when needed !
- Only reason I wouldnt give 5 stars is because towards the end of my studying I did have to make some adjustments and do what would make me most comfortable to sit for the exam and pass. During my time using ace I would passed and then failed practice exams so they didnt feel comfortable with me sitting unless I passed 2 back to back ( super understandable). But to me that goes to show that they work very hard to ensure that you are comfortably passing, so you do pass!

I was in desperate need of a tutor in preparation of both step 1 and 2. Mohit and Kelvin were both incredibly supportive and made the lessons enjoyable. I was challenged to think in a systematic manner, and the schedules the ACE team provide solidify the method. Tutoring sessions consist of talking through 10-15 uworld questions and help you identify errors in your thinking and knowledge gaps. Schedules are given in 2 week intervals with valuable feedback after every practice exam. The schedules can be customized upon request to suite rotations and other obligations.

Kelvin often went out of his way to reach out and check on my progress. He even shared advice on the residency application process. His sincerity is evident in his encouragement when you’ve hit rough patch and shared excitement with your success.
I know the price is high, especially considering all the $ we drop already, but absolutely worth it if you’re in need of guidance and accountability. The plans are actually cheaper than other options, there’s also a generous discount if you buy 2 packages (payment plans upon request, hours can be used towards any of your exams and don’t expire).

I graduated from the US MD school in 2023. In the 2022–2023 match season, I applied to every psychiatry program in the country and did not match. Even during soap, I did not find any available positions. After soap, I found a preliminary internal medicine position that I took, with the intention of reapplying to psychiatry. At the beginning of the 2023–2024 season, I was applying to all psychiatry programs in the country once again. At this point, I decided to take the help of this organization. I was really conflicted, because first there were many organizations that claimed to offer this kind of support and second – I knew that I had done an application before, so I knew what to do. So, I questioned myself whether I should actually be seeking the help of an organization like this. Reflecting back on this decision, I am 100% satisfied, and so glad that I took the help of this organization. They basically allowed me to get low, hanging fruit, and embellish my application, in ways that I had not thought of. Their entire process was very smooth for me. Someone was always available to help. They found people from within the specialty I wanted to go to in to – psychiatry. Even the mock interview was so helpful. It helped get the nerves out before the real thing. And I felt I was on fire, and all my interviews were golden just because I had gotten all the nervousness out on the mock interview. they were also so helpful in writing letters of recommendation. Obviously, it is known that when a resident is applying to another program, their program director’s letter of recommendation is really important. My program Director was really busy, and kept delaying this process until pretty much the last day. And on the last day, I offered him that I work with this organization that can draft letters of recommendation, and if he would feel comfortable with me, providing him with that. He was actually so relieved and so happy about this. The organization wrote a letter within less than 12 hours for me. I was in the unusual position of getting offered a spot out of match this last month. I had a majority of my interviews still piled up. So in accepting this position, I would’ve had to give up all the rest of my interviews. But this was a guaranteed position. When making this hard decision, I called the advisor that I worked with for my application review. Even though it’s not listed as his job criteria in our plan, he was so happy to talk to me and go over the details of this decision with me. It was nice because I knew he was not biased, and had no benefit from choosing either path. So he truly was just trying to help me out and make the best decision. I worked with two really really great people.

I would recommend anyone to use this organization. One of the things I heard when I signed up was that they were so glad I came to them the second time I was reapplying. They said that it’s really hard when someone comes to them after applying five or six times before. The match is an intense and traumatic process. I needed this kind of support. Before I signed up to work with this organization, I would get a lot of anxiety while working on my application and end up delaying things to last minute. They really saved me and just took over everything and helped me review all my documents and application materials, one by one. What I realized was – of course I was paying for the advice and expertise of preparing the residency application, but what I got the most out of this process was support and a shoulder to lean on as I navigated this intense process. I also must commend this organization for being really professional. They were respectful and available. I am aware that this is a business. And so I was very cautious of not extending past what I had agreed to purchase from them in terms of services. My only advice to anyone looking to work with this organization or any other organization like this, is that make sure you don’t treat them as your therapist. Please be really respectful of these people. They have their own obligations, and they can’t drop everything to emotionally comfort you and nor should they. My experience was while I was gently encouraged throughout the process, the time I paid for mostly focused on improving my application documents. Great response time anytime I needed to work with either the organization or the advisor I have been paired with. Thank you ace med boards so much.

I worked with Kelvin to pass my step 1. I had been studying for months and I hit a plateau which is why I seeked help. We worked together for about 3 months and I passed my exam. After starting out and taking my second practice exam with ACE my score increased by like 15 points, I definitely recommend the program and Kelvin who always knew what to say/ recommend even during the difficult parts of the process. I never felt alone and I really do appreciate all of the work he put in towards my success. Follow the schedules that ACE gives, that helped me with being more constant with my content review. Overall it was a great experience and I would do it again if I had to.

I turned to Ace Med Boards after failing my first board exam. Dr. Saxena worked with me and did a fantastic job teaching me what other's didn't: how to take a test. He watched how I performed and guided my approach and I saw great improvement after a couple of weeks. I only wish I met with them sooner.

I came across Ace Med Boards at a low point after failing STEP 1. Seeking outside help became evident after an unsuccessful attempt at preparing on my own. Ace med’s method of answering questions helped improve my test taking strategy while also garnering the confidence I needed to believe in myself to pass on my 2nd attempt. My tutor, Kelvin, was a huge instrument in changing my approach for the retake. He clearly knows how to tutor effectively while keeping the student feeling comfortable and open to ask questions. I totally recommend this service to anyone preparing for the boards or for those who’ve failed. Their detailed schedules help you focus on weak areas where I saw a definite improvement. I didn't expect much to come of this cycle. I only applied to 200 programs, even though I was a reapplicant and even though I was advised to apply to more. I came across Ace Med Boards while looking for help as I did not have any interviews by November. With their guidance, I was able to get 2 interviews by February and matched at my #1 top choice. Going to family med this July, and super stoked!!!

I matched in IM, My first choice was neurology. But I am grateful I matched. I tried many different residency prep companies while trying to match in the past 3 cycles. Some were very famous companies. I would say quality of the service is not different in terms of editing , but the content was more personalized and I got realistic advice.
I got feedback throughout the cycle, but sometimes the reply was not so smooth, because you have to communicate through their main email . It would be nice if I know who in charge of my case.
Interview prep with Mohit was very very helpful. I was worried i might not get enough practice time with 1or 2 sessions. Its focused on interview questions and answers, they dont teach you how to speak but what to say. I would say if ur an IMG and need interview practice then you should ask in advance whether they can help with interview skills. I personally didnt need that kind of help and was very satisfied with their help.
