Was very nervous after reading reviews last night but my delivery today could not have gone smoother, received a text this morning with my time slot and then a phone call a little later with a more accurate one. Men who showed up were polite and kind, carried the drier to the kitchen so I didn’t have to do it myself and even gave my autistic son (who was very excited) an AO teddy bear! Could not fault the service whatsoever and will defo be using for all my future tech needs!

Delivered a damaged dishwasher which the driver took back. New delivery arranged with a 4 hour time slot. Was told I would receive a phone call when drivers nearby but no call received. Got home to see drivers just leaving. I stopped them and waited outside house for them to unload. They sat in cab for five minutes and drove off! Iv cancelled order only to be told I have to be a failed delivery charge. Will not be using AO again.

Shout out to Dave & Bailey for the removal of an old American fridge freezer in withernsea ,to say the job was,nt easy due to measurements was an understatement yet both remained polite ,cheerful and were determined not to leave me stuck with said item Thankyou so much !!

I would avoid AO, the delivery services are day light robbery. I had spoken to the driver saying he could leave my goods on the door step. I get a call from a customer service agent after saying I must pay either £25 for a re-delivery that will come at any time between 7am-7pm or I can select a smaller time window for £50! (This is after already paying £25 for delivery). I then asked to cancel and refund as the cost was starting to outweigh the cost of the goods and they want to charge for £50 for that too. Just go with a different company

Absolutely completely ineffective tracking information. I was sent an email and a text message that both gave me a four hour window for delivery- 7.38am to 11.38am today. I regularly checked and nothing was changed. Time went on and at 11.30am it still informed me that delivery was due by 11.38am. At 11.45am I checked again (because obviously it had not arrived) and the information had been updated to they were running late but I was next on the list for delivery. No time update. I rang the customer service line only to be told that they're sorry but it'll be with me when they can get to me. Still no updated time. Utterly infuriating that they send emails and texts giving a four hour window of delivery but then don't meet that window but also don't update any information whatsoever, even after they are late.
Let me make myself perfectly clear - i am not complaining that the delivery guys were held up, or late, what I am complaining about it the completely inadequate, ineffective even, tracking system. What a pointless load of BS that is! Why even bother. The delivery guys said the lorry turned up 3 hours late - so why wasn't the tracking updated as soon as that happened? Why was no updates done until AFTER my delivery was already late? No updated time, still. Just 'running late' - but HOW late?! Absolutely pointless, tracking is not accurate or helpful and AO couldn't give a toss. Just go to a different company, don't give them your money, you'll regret it.

I would like to give zero star but this is not possible. If any other company is selling the item you are tempted to buy from AO buy it from them even if it’s more expensive believe me it will be worth it for not having to deal with AO. They are unable to provide the basic delivery and collection service they offer and we PAY for. I’m now on myFOURTH attempted delivery of the same item…… they’ve got it wrong 3 times already take that in, to deliver a fridge freezer!!!!!!!! How are they unable to provide this basic service! BUY FROM ANYWHERE ELSE BUT NOT HERE.

I ordered a built-in fridge freezer. The day before delivery, I thought it would be helpful to remove the cupboard doors. When the fitters arrived I was immediately told in no uncertain terms that I should not have done that. The equipment went in ok but doors were a bit of a problem. To cut a long story sh ort I phoned ao for someone to come and sort it so that the doors closed properly but all they said was that he needed to put some wood under the freezer to raise it up. i pointed out that would not work. So he went and I haven't heard from ao since. So fed up of waiting that I got somebody else to do it satisfactorily!!!

I ordered an expensive fan last Friday with a guaranteed delivery on Sunday. I was told that I would receive a text with a 4 hour window on Sunday morning. Text, came there none. As at later on a Tuesday, the delivery company had still not even received the parcel. In that time I got no update whatsoever from AO and their website said it would be with me as ordered. It still says that now, an outright lie and completely false. They cannot leave it and require a signature. I am not now available to sign until Saturday so it would have been a week late so I had to cancel it. I bought it for my wife in hospital in a baking hot ward. AO promise much but totally failed in service. I don't feel able to trust them so I shall not use them again. They took my money immediately (fair enough) but want up to 5 days to refund it. A nice little earner on interest in their account and not mine.

I was happy with the purchase of a Leibherr freezer. It took about 30 minutes to arrange it through a price match.
I was initially served by Trey who was fantastic and price matched me a £200 plus difference. 😱
I was then served by another man a day later when I rang to buy the fridge freezer.
I wasn't happy that I was being forced by this man into getting an insurance policy. When I said no multiple times I was still being forced into buying it.
When I questioned why I had to listen to all the benefits if i wasn't going to buy it.
I was asked why I don't buy it and I should buy it?
The man was very very insistent i buy it and tried to make me feel bad about not buying it?
I bought the fridge and postage £30.
This CSR caused a bit of confusion over the ao members package and I initially got no unpacking or recycling of old item. I found out about this by email.
Customer services rang me 2 days later after I hot an email and I was grateful the man added free recycling and unpacking of item.
I am very happy with ao and just waiting for delivery.

Rubbish drivers,Rubbish app ,not sure why they try to be moving on tech world,tracking shows driver same place for 4 hours,still 17 delivery's, terrible service

Ordered a fridge from AO. Very unhappy with the level of service. Told the customer service team on the pre-call that in the building, there are stairs. The men arrived to delivered the fridge and said they couldn't do it in that moment and would need to get lifting straps as surprised to find stairs. Waited a few more hours with now a fridge that is not cold, food that was transferred to cool bags for a brief time to let it settle only to now be having issues with it having switched it off for collection. Order now shows complete but no communication since from them. Awful service. Being a Saturday, no customer service follow-up until Monday.

Absolutely appalling experience with AO.

Within the space of just two days, I had two major appliances purchased from AO fail. Firstly, my fridge freezer, which was less than five months old, completely overheated, blew hot air instead of cooling, and destroyed over £400 worth of food. AO eventually agreed to refund however I’m still waiting.

Just two days later, my tumble dryer, purchased only five weeks after the fridge freezer, also developed a fault and is now displaying error codes and no longer works.

What has disappointed me the most is not just the repeated appliance failures, but the way my complaint has been handled. I am the full-time carer for five disabled children, and I repeatedly informed AO and Hoover of significant safeguarding concerns regarding engineer visits. During the previous complaint, the engineer arrived having not been informed of those concerns, despite me raising them in advance. After I explained the situation, he decided it was not safe to proceed.

Despite this, AO has once again responded by simply arranging another engineer without addressing the safeguarding concerns or explaining what reasonable adjustments have been considered. Instead, I have received what appear to be generic responses that fail to address the issues I have actually raised.

I understand that retailers have procedures to follow, but I expected far better communication, consideration of my family’s circumstances, and more confidence in the quality of appliances that are only a few months old.

Sadly, this experience has left me with very little confidence in AO, and I am now seeking further advice regarding my consumer rights.

I sincerely hope AO improves both the reliability of the products it supplies and the way it handles customers facing exceptional circumstances.

I have used AO many times in the past and they have previously been fantastic but sadly not now.
I bought a Fridgemaster fridge freezer and reported it faulty on day two. Rather than just replacing it I was advised to have a three way conversation with Hisense and for parts/engineer to be arranged. The item should have been replaced!
Two months later… still have a faulty appliance; loss of earnings through two dates when engineers/parts haven’t turned up; no compensation offered and I’m told today that if I want collection from AO … I will have to wait until after August! So much for customer service! I was also told by their staff member yesterday (wrongly) that I would not receive a full refund because I had already had the appliance for two months(despite reporting the fault on day two!) The customer is always to blame it seems!

I ordered a siemans integrated dishwasher also paid extra for installation by a o .com the engineer arrived with dishwasher and the door kit was missing .i could not use the dishwasher as the door slammed close without the cover .i was without a dishwasher for another week .my mum is 75 plus and she cant wash dishes herself .this company has not bothered to ring back and offer any compensation.

Excellent service. Received fridge and condenser today. Really pleased.

Just bought a new Indesit tumble dryer from AO. Within 1 week was having problems with dryer phoned Indesit but was was very unhappy with outcome was told if they couldn't find the fault I would be charged £75. Obviously very unhappy with that response regarding a brand new item I called AO. The response could not have been more different. Spoke to super helpful lady called Casey within no time she was arranging for a new machine to come following day. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I would highly recommend AO unlike Indesit they are very helpful and sort the issue without the threat of more cost.

Where to start:
1. Decking to rear of house badly damaged on delivery.
2. Appliance failing to work on plug in - nothing! The socket working perfectly well.
3. Some 20 mins plus on phone with 'customer care' who clearly don't really. Tried to shift their responsibility to the manufacturer. I had to repeatedly state my contract was with them, the retailer, and that I wanted a full refund under the Sale of Goods Act for goods that were 'not fit for purpose'.
4. Non working item now collected but they have deducted £25 for some reason - the 'care' person tried to argue a deduction based on the fact that I had plugged in the appliance!!!! You could not make it up.
5. Now chasing the outstanding amount and compensation for the damage.
6. Lastly, so much wasted food.
WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASE - WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

DO NOT USE AO! Worst decision of my life..

Firstly to mention, I never write reviews and I’m honestly that angry I need to say something to warn people. I don’t know how AO is still up and running as a company it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had.

I made an AO account a year ago living at my old address and recently found a PC I wanted. I tried to make an account which instantly logged me into my previously made account and when I applied for the AO finance to get the pc it gave me no update options for information, within a few clicks it gave me an account balance (after checking my card details I was given the loan with no other information needed). I’ve never had this with any loan/payment plan options before, the way this is made and works is horrific. I thought nothing of it and when I went to purchase it said I could only deliver it to my old address.

So I obviously got on the phone asking for help to change this and they stated to me the only way I could change it is if I made a purchase to that address because of how AO finance works it locks to the original address that the account is linked to. No worries I messaged a friend living in my old flats and ordered some headphones as she wouldn’t be able to carry a gaming pc up to the 5th floor using stairs.

Headphones arrived and the account is still address locked. I called up again explaining the issue and the man said he could mark the headphones to be returned but there’s nothing he could do, never gave me a solid answer to why I was originally told the only way to change address was to make a purchase but oh well it’s not this dudes fault.

Minutes later I get a email saying my account is going to be flagged for fraud so I called up again. A woman answered and I explained everything to which I was told that I was lying, the account had been made yesterday and now it’s definitely getting flagged as fraud. She gave me no explanation and or answers and was clearly aggravated at me. I never once ever stepped out of line talking to her. I work in customer service and I understand how hard it is at times so I’d never be disrespectful as the job is stressful. This woman she spoke to me like shit on her shoe and kept claiming I was lying about everything. I have no reason to lie I just wanted a computer. Because my account was flagged as fraud I couldn’t return the headphones and now I’m paying over double for a £20 pair of headphones.

When I got off the phone I was sobbing. I wish I’d stood my ground on the phone but she ended call. Now I have to pay off over priced headphones that I only bought due to misinformation.

It feels so much like a scam and I urge anyone not to buy from AO. Their customer service is poor and their website is made out of popsicle sticks.

Item was meant to have been delivered for the morning- delivery driver called at 830 am to say the delivery will be between 930 and 1130. Recieved a call from the driver at 1125 to say they were half hour away heard nothing for another hour when I recieved a message saying the delivery had taken place. Called the driver who said they would be with us in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later still no delivery so phoned the customer support- person who picked up said they would call the driver on hold for ten minutes to be told that the driver was 15 minutes away. Half hour later and still no delivery absolute shambles if your going to be late try communicating!!
