Abbatars looked as bored as the audience.
Please, there really is no need to arrive an hour early so you can spend a fortune on overpriced food, beer and memorabilia.
Music ok but not the best selection of hits, poor imitation of Abba sound (bit muffled, not enough treble), band looked and sounded bored, lip sync issues, patronising speeches, no atmosphere.
Abbatars ok but imprisoned at back of the stage, we expected so much more.
Basically you are attending a big Abba advert and paying for the privilege. Maybe they need the money to send their Abbatars to LIPA to learn how to dance and sing properly?
Unforgettable and loved by three…
Unforgettable and loved by three generations of my family!!!! Impossible to relate to people what an extraordinary experience it is.
Disappointing
Disappointing. You do not need to arrive an hour before the show, they just want you to purchase expensive food, drink and merch, people were coming and going throughout the show. The technology is clever but the avatars are awful and soulless with dead eyes, there is no need for the obscure cartoons, more bio from the actual human members of the band would have helped. It could have been done so much better. There is a reason they don't want you filming it as I believe it would put a lot off. If I had paid £20 for my ticket I would have said it was worth it, but it is in essence a glorified (expensive) film/cinema show. We left at the second pointless cartoon about half an hour before the end.
Get rid of the backing singers and the ridiculous cartoon section!
Fantastic show, well worth the visit…..buuuuuutt….I paid to see the ABBAtars NOT the backing singers taking centre stage. Then there is that ridiculous cartoon section…spoilt the experience….ABBAtars are holograms and don’t need a rest or costume change!
Disappointing
Disappointing, given all the hype. I like ABBA and I'd have quite enjoyed the show, if I'd paid £20 for an evening out with friends. The holograms are a bit of fun, but with the lip sync off and odd hand movements confirming they were clearly "pretend", I made me wonder who the crowd were clapping and cheering? It all felt a bit odd! It was fun, but does not justify the price. As such, it feels like one of the greatest scams this century, but some obviously see it differently!
I’ve seen the bad reviews and I wonder…
I’ve seen the bad reviews and I wonder if they saw the same thing!
It was wonderful!
Food and drink was expensive, but no worse than any other concerts I’ve been to recently.
We were seated. Dance floor looked so crowded.
I’m an abba fan so it was wonderful to sing and dance to their bangers. Loved every minute
Show is amazing
Show is amazing, but vip not worth it on the 13:00 show. Food is sparse compared to the evening vip which is totally worth it. When you go into the venue the waiting area is open to outside so cold in the winter whereas the vip area is warm.
Insulting personnel. Never again
Insulted by a security agent during the show. Given the loud music, impossible to respond to his offense. People around me asking themselves what’s going on. To make his insulting intervention unnoticed by the others, the security agent was singing and dancing after he has insulted me. Most probably they are instructed or encouraged or let insult spectators. No email address nor any contact on the webpage to declare the complaint. I definitely don’t thank Abba for the music.
Just back from Abba Voyage
Just back from Abba Voyage, 3pm show. It was fantastic - I’ve never seen anything like it. The lighting effects were incredible and I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the stadium - the seats are well-staggered so the stage can be seen. The dance floor looked crowded - glad we had seats. Amazing! We’ll be returning
I have read the reviews and can agree…
I have read the reviews and can agree to some extent what people are saying, in terms of sound I did find the sound distorted @ times, but the live band totally shocked when they appeared, but were amazing and a great addition, full of energy! Some songs I didn’t recognise, but I get they are also plugging’ their new album’. But for me as a 13yr old girl seeing them back then for the first time winning Eurovision back in the 70’s and now 50 years later, blew my mind!!!
I want to commend the actual venue and staff, the place was immaculate and well run organisation incredible! Amazing happy chap @ entrance & exit! I didn’t like it…. I LOVED IT!! 😍
,
Amazing!
Couldn’t see a thing
Firstly, I have contacted customer services who were most unhelpful and pointed me to all the external platforms I could raise a complaint to! So here we go!
I’ll keep it short. Bought a seated ticket on the front row, left side of the arena. Didn’t expect the drunken lady sat next to me to stand in front of my seat for the WHOLE show dancing. All I remember is her backside in my face. She didn’t even look back to see if she was in front of me. Tried to move her, but she was back in front of me in seconds. Not allowed to go into the walkway to dance, just stand on the 2 steps in front of me. Marvellous. Couldn’t see a thing. So, if you expect to be able to sit in your seat, don’t. And if you can’t stand for long periods of time, tough.
The staff actively escort the rogue dancers back to the front step to dance in front of your seated ticket! And don’t expect customer services to be considerate either. Some say dancing in your seat is allowed, some say in front of your seat, some say out of your seat. There’s a dance floor for a reason.
Please be considerate of the people around you.
Just okay
Positives - well worth seeing for the abbatars and production values. Songs amazing.
Negatives - can only book with Ticketmaster - and have to download their app. Why? It’s just a show like any other in terms of ticketing.
Animation during show poor and ran across two songs.
Poor facilities. Don’t get there early as food and drink basic and nowhere to sit to eat or drink.
Dance floor not great for people sitting nearby. Lots of drunk loud people on the dance floor - fine if they were actually listening to the music but I think they thought they were in Ibiza on a summer booze up.
Staff sullen and poor circulation when leaving the venue.
What a complete waste of money
What a complete waste of money. Definitely the lamest “concert” I’ve ever been to. It felt like watching the longest music video in history with video game characters portraying real people. I will never get that time back.
a lot of money to pay out to come out feeling “Meh”
I really wanted to love this show, and there were parts that were excellent but other parts left me bored and disappointed
At the beginning the ABBAtars were not only very small, but also very dark. When you see a live band, they have spotlights on them, obviously this isn’t possible with ABBAtars which meant they were just a blobby shape on stage, you couldn’t see their faces at all
Yes, they did go on to put footage on the HUGE screens which were amazing, but this show is hyped up to be an ABBAtar show, not a music video
The first song was unrecognisable, very slow and boring - “The Visitors” - Nobody knew it and it went on for far too long. SOS was next which was good, and a few people got up and danced but then for Knowing Me, Knowing You the ABBAtars disappeared and it was all on screen.
The Live Band came on to do “Does Your Mother Know” … why … we paid to see the ABBAtars not the band. Then there were 2 other tracks - Eagle and another one I can’t remember - which were accompanied by weird cartoon films which had nothing to do with the song.
It wasn’t until song 17 of the set list of 20 - Waterloo - that the entire crowd got up and danced. Again, no ABBAtars for this, they showed footage of the 1974 Eurovision which was actually lovely to see again. Then we had Dancing Queen of course, the real highlight, and that was it apart from one encore song.
In conclusion ..
Am I glad I went - yes, just to see what the hype was about. Would I go again … no … I don’t dispute that it’s very, very well done …. Although the girls’ hair looked far too immaculate throughout. But I was left disappointed, wanting more. It needs more upbeat songs for the crowd to interact with and fewer slower songs, although these were ideal breaks for people to go to the loo or get another drink etc.
It’s a lot of money to pay out to come out feeling “Meh”
A great show for Abba fans
A great show for Abba fans, and was blown away by it when it first opened, but now let down by sound quality and the fact that we spent most of the show looking at the back of the lady in front who kept standing up to dance, and the very drunk and loud people 2 rows down, and yes we could hear them chatting and laughing all the way through. When we first went there were no drinks allowed inside the show and no dancing if you were seated, this has all gone out the window now. What a shame.
Amazing concert and worth paying for the Oceanbird lounge
We were very impressed with the atmosphere in the concert, the very real looking AI reconstructions and a very enthusiastic live backing band. We paid for the Oceanbird lounge, which sounds expensive, but given the lack of anything else in the immediate area (though the Snoozebox hotel had a bar open for drinks as we arrived early) and the ridiculously cramped concourse with plenty of food and drink options, but nowhere to sit and eat, was a good idea. OK, it is London prices, but the lounge includes lots of snacky food, hot and cold, unlimited Prosecco (well over £40 in the bars) and other drinks, immaculate and friendly staff, and, above all, somewhere quiet to relax and sit down and enjoy the food and drink prior to the show. Only two blocks of toilets and big queues in the complex, so time your visits well. Easy to access via train and docklands railway, though we came by cab. There is a black taxi rank as well close to the arena. The show was very smart, the AIs amazing, and a great atmosphere. It was very loud, which affected the sound a bit. A lot of flashing lights, if that could be a problem for you. Special areas and bigger seats for those needing assistance. The standing arena was packed, so no real space for doing much, so the seats were a better idea. Plenty of leg room, though the seats were a bit cramped, if you need a bit more space, but you can’t move the arm rests with the drinks holder down, just to give you a bit more space. Plenty of very helpful staff all round. The Snoozebox hotel, adapted shipping crates, is worth considering if you need to stay, is very close and reasonably priced. There is a bar at the front if you arrive early as the venue doesn’t open until 6. Definitely an experience not to be missed, and, even more definitely, pay for the lounge.
Absolutely mind blowingly brilliant
Absolutely mind blowingly brilliant. The best show I’ve ever seen. I cannot overemphasise how amazing this show is. I would recommend this to everyone. Fanbloodytastic.
Extremely Disappointed
In March 2023 my sister, neice and myseif booked tickets for the show. We were delighted with our purchase as we are all desperate to see the show, however , I was diagnosed with a tumor in my ovaries and we had to cancell the trip as my operation clashed with our trip. We got in touch with the booking team and asked if they could re schedule our tickets . We got a very disappointing response .. NO!
we were lucky that other entertainment we booked weren't so brutal . I had to send copies of my hospital appointment to prove it was true and changes were made to accommodate our new trip. Fortunately for me I am fully recovered.
By the way we received NO REFUND,
.I can not believe ,well in hindsight , I can, that such a money making show can treat people this way.
The prices are so high this year that we can not go , much to our disappointment, however I guess "the winner takes it all".
Beyond fantastic
Beyond fantastic! It’s like they really are there, the live band adds to this feeling also staff are so helpful we had ambient lighting seats, the disabled area has the best views just behind the dancing area so closest to the stage although the cheapest seats have good views too an unmissable experience will remember for a long time thank you Abba
