I have been a loyal, paying customer since March 2021. When I signed my Order Confirmation, it explicitly stated: "Contract Duration: 36 months."
What they don't clearly explain is that they bury a punitive, automatic 12-month rolling contract clause behind a hyperlink in their standard terms. If you miss a strict 90-day notice window before your anniversary date, they instantly lock you in for another full year.
When I no longer needed the single tracker for my business, I tried to exit amicably. I offered a completely reasonable 90-day paid notice period to settle the account fairly. Customer Service flat-out refused. They had zero interest in coming to a sensible compromise with a 5-year customer; their only goal was to cynically enforce a hidden clause and extract another 12 months of payments for a redundant service.
Worse still, the customer service agent repeatedly ignored my questions regarding discrepancies in their own contract terms and completely refused my requests to escalate the matter to a manager or their legal team. You are just met with a copy-and-paste script designed to stonewall you.
To add insult to injury, once you are finally allowed to leave, they demand you post back their 5-year-old, obsolete hardware or face an £80 penalty fee per unit.
This is an incredibly underhanded, archaic way of conducting B2B business. They rely on trapping customers in small print rather than retaining them through good service. Avoid at all costs.

After more than 4 years of paying ABAX for multiple trackers I decided to change to another company. I assumed I was out of contract after such a long period of time, but learned that ABAX apply a rolling contract, and you need to give them 3 months notice before the end of the contract date or they lock you in for another 12 months. I assume this is buried in the small print somewhere, since it was never explained to me.
I spoke with Customer Services but did not get very far. From the outset they seemed to have no interest in anything other than extracting the largest sum of money possible from my company. I cannot see any reason for this type of contract other than to cynically exploit their customer.
After asking if I wanted a figure to buy out the remainder of the contract I received a number that seems to be higher than if I just left the contract to expire.
This is a very underhand way of conducting business. I would urge others to avoid this company at all costs.
PS They also demand return of their units, or I will be charged £80 per unit, though they clearly cannot be used again.

I really should have read these reviews before signing up, 3 years we have had to pay for these trackers without being allowed to end the agreement. We have finally paid the last payment and they are now telling me I should have read the small print as I now owe them £80 per tracker unless I return them. The units we were told couldn’t be installed under metal so were useless on our machinery. They got ripped off and one vehicle written off with it. Apparently I should have claimed through my insurance for the tracker!!!
Please read all these reviews and don’t sign up, terms and conditions hidden and not clear on sign up, extremely rude and belittling staff on the phone and trackers unfit for usage.
They will then respond with ‘ I’m sorry as we pride ourselves on customer service ‘ you don’t at all, you have no customer service and it’s all a big scam that people don’t realise what they are getting into.
Please do not make the same mistake many of us others have made a stay well clear!

I contacted customer support regarding one vehicle and Jessica kindly advised on some others that were having issues (some our issues!) She was proactive, polite and friendly. Very prompt response from the online chat too.

I have worked with Abax UK in 2 different companies and both times have been a fantastic experience.
For our business needs, Abax UK has proven time and time again an essential tool.
Today we were reminded again how useful the tool is when one of our vehicles was stolen, we were able to direct the police to its location.
With the full support from Matthew Meadow who has gone above and beyond to ensure we get the best use of the trackers and its capability.
