3 DAYS to get a hosted server running. 1-Grid tech person admitted it was a hardware fault and finally moved our VM to another cluster.
It cost our business dearly. Stay away from 1-Grid if you need reliable hosting.

I had a horrible experience yesterday in terms of holding on to speak to a support agent for 15 minutes and then being cut off. I was furious and sent an e-mail. At 17h50 last night I got a call from a 1-Grid support agent Viwe Mdangayi, who has restored my faith in EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I Salute Viwe for his professional, extremely competent manner and product knowledge. The fact that he called me, as promised and on-time this morning to follow up just confirms everything above.

One of my sites has been off for two weeks with no joy from support. Multiple tickets, numerous queries, zero feedback. Switchboard hasnt been functioning for days now and you cannot even get through to the cancellations department. I am at this stage not even sure anymore that these guys are in business. If they are, they really shouldnt be.

when i log tickets they respond well and in time ,they solve the problems in first attempt and they guide you well to apply solutions so far so good am happy with their service 1Grid is a company that knows how to treat their clients, keep it up guys

Stuck and Frustrated
1grid lost my inbox and has not been able to recover it.
I was spammed with more that 17k emails coming from their server and in their attempts to fix that they lost my entire inbox. I have now been locked out of my account and every time I attempt to change password I never receive the email on my recovery email.
They have since stopped responding to my emails and, forget about trying to speak to someone because you will hold for more than an hour and then the call cuts or you run out of airtime.
I have even threatened with closing my account with them thinking that will get some attention but clearly no one cares as its been days now and no one has come back to me. Unfortunately there isn't even a complaints department that you can call so I am stuck and really really frustrated. I don't know how they expect anyone to conduct business this way.

I have given 1Grid a single star because half stars aren't an option. They have the worst support I've ever experienced. The last support ticket I opened with them took over a month to be responded to. When you try and call tech support (not that their website has a phone number to call) they put you on hold anywhere from 30 mins - 2 hours before you are simply forced to give up. See the screen-grab of their "Live service". Their LIVE online chat is also rarely responded to.
Not to mention countless times they have messed up my billing. Pathetic company. I'm only with them still because I paid for 12 months in advance and they DON'T refund unused months if you cancel early.

I needed support with my email and after 2-days of phoning and two emails to the support group I eventually came right with Nathan. Dropped calls, 20-minute holding on calls - just pathetic. When I eventually got through to Nathan it was a problem that took 3-minutes to fix! Interestingly that when I phoned billing just to connect with a voice the phone was answered!

This company is honestly thee best to work with, Shane Wegmann has honestly gone far and beyond expectations when it comes to superior support, not only did he help me whilst on leave and booked off on holiday but he has taken our website to a whole new level...the speed of our website is quicker than i ever anticipated it to be, moving us from a Grade C Performance to Grade A Performance, this speaks for the type of service the support team provides....ONLY GRADE A, Nothing less, I will continue to support and work with this company for the next 30+ years and will highly recommend 1Grid & Shane Wegmann To EVERYONE AND ANYONE who needs web hosting and domain support.

If you are looking for the worst hosting company in SA then 1grid is for you. You can not get hold of them and if you do not a single person can assist you. By looking at their recent reviews you can see the company's name is going to a trashy status. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

I had an issue with my email authentication which was a concern as I run my own business and rely on my emails. It was refreshing to log into my ticket and see the progress being made by the team.
I interacted with friendly and professional staff who sorted the issue out.
I have been a 1-Grid customer for six years and I am going nowhere.
I am a happy customer (again)!

Try and get through to their Support department, they REFUSE to answer, but the sales team is ALWAYS ready to steal more money. Been trying 3 days to talk to support, once they have stolen your money you will never speak to them again regarding support etc. They only time they will call you is when accounting dept calls

Regardless of a high number of good reviews, I unfortunately have a bad experience with them which led me to cancelling the services I had subscribed to, even now I’ve been waiting for over 24 hours for them to transfer my domain to another hosting company. They’re quiet and not responding to emails. My website and emails are down due to this- I’m wondering till when.
When you call them, you’re likely to hear a recorded voice telling you that there are no available agents and then the call gets dropped on you. It’s a mess! What a waste of time and money!!

We have been clients of gridhost that became 1-grid for more than 10 years and this year we have had the most atrocious service from them.
They are totally unreachable.
Our business email was not working consistently for almost a month but the final straw has been that they have not been delivering invoices so after been UpToDate with payments for over 10 years, when I logged onto there client service area I saw that I had fallen behind so I paid the 3 months of outstanding bills that I had not received and fallen behind.
They then issued a reinstatement invoice for one of our domains, I told them I did not wish to reinstate the domain as it is inactive and was not aware that this would be changed.
Be careful of 1- grid they are not a reliable host and will charge you for services that you do not request.
Clearly once you have been a long term client it is not important to them have any client service as they feel that they have you locked in!

Service is pathetic, never get a problem resolved. Wait on hold for hours.
Log a ticket and nothing happens.
Only thing that works is payments.

The Vps server has been giving issues since Sunday, after a dozen support tickets these issues are still persisting.... NO POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM 1 Grid! The few emails I have received from them is just them telling me I need to buy an additional Server because the server cannot handle one of the websites hosted on it since November 2022!!! But it was fine on Saturday, it only started giving issues after they changed something on the server.
