Preordered a Canon GX7 Mark III and the whole process was incredibly easy. Putting down the deposit was simple, and it was originally expected to arrive at the end of September. To my surprise, it arrived this week!
It was posted the very next day, and the service has been absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!

Always have good experience with wilkinson cameras, I ordered camera and a clean kit but I ordered wrong kit for my camera, they called me straight away to say I have paid for wrong one and they can swap for correct one. Also they deliver very quick. My go to place for anything definitely recommend!.

Very helpful and great service from Park at Preston and all the other staff. Park took care and the time to explain the product and gave me lots of help and advice. I also phoned and spoke with other staff members that were always polite, friendly and helpful. I am really happy with my new camera and the great deal. Great camera shop with excellent service.

Do not order. Extremely disappointed with the service I ordered a camera for next day delivery on the 3rd at 3pm as per their website it would have then dispatched on the 4th and received on the 5th. Tell me why I’m seeing that it’s not even been handing over to dpd! And now I’m being told it won’t arrive till the 6th…and that is after consistently emailing them for a whole day and not getting any response and proceeding to then use their live chat. They are trying to justify it with they have an awful lot of parcels and “every effort is made to fulfill next day orders” clearly not! If DpD missing the collection then go to the nearest depot with a bag and drop it off because that is actual effort. I wouldn’t order from here again lack of customer service, communication and low effort!

I was given a gift voucher for Wilkinsons however, I had forgotten about it until I received a reminder that it was due to expire shortly. I contacted Wilkinsons, and they kindly extended the expiry date by three months! I ordered an L bracket shortly after this event and it arrived early the following day. I could not have received better service. Thank you.

I enquired about a camera yesterday and the response was efficient and extremely helpful. I was put in touch with Alex R and he made my experience effortless. This is the first time buying from Wilkinson's online so was a bit nervous about the experience but it has been exceptional. I really hope someone in the management team sees this review and gives Alex the credit he deserves.

Good price. Good service. Fast delivery. Good communication. The lens was a good copy too, which added to the experience. Never had a bad bit of kit from Wilkinsons.

Preston branch. Was treated well by a knowledgeable member of the shop. Named ‘Park’. Patiently going through the lenses I had brought in to part exchange against a newer camera. At one stage he had said I had accumulated enough to afford the camera (canon r6) and get me started. Which was great having removed all the 3m protection from my camera and lenses. Then another member of the team showed up and was saying under his breath ‘don’t want that’ referring to the camera body. Multiple times. Completely undermining Mr Park. And ignoring me. No introduction, nothing. From that point on the professional appearance of the assistant changed. He now appeared to lose all confidence and the other chap just hung around gradually eroding the rapport established. Anyway, put me at unease. Ended up with a low bar offer that wouldn’t cover half the camera body. After being led earlier to believe otherwise.
I wouldn’t mind as money wasn’t an issue. I was going to buy the camera and a couple of decent lenses anyway. The bonus being I could lose some of these heavy L lenses and maybe get a bit knocked off the camera.
So after spending an hour with the more professional Mr Park to getting pretty much discourteous behaviour from the other team member making his presence felt, I left. With the lens protection and camera protection removed - not replaced! All the lens filter's stacked together wrapped in a piece of printer paper and all stuffed randomly into my bags.

Was it tactical? To make you feel uneasy, uncomfortable? I was not taking in cheap kit. Admittedly two lenses had apparent minor traces of fungus. Which I certainly wasn’t aware but told it’s common on the 24-70 L USM II, and also the 24mm L 1.4 USM ii plus he said no one buys prime lenses as they can just use a zoom. Which I find an odd statement- I bought one, maybe I’m unique. The other L lenses were in great condition and canon extenders.

I only give 3 stars due to Mr Parks honesty and professionalism. Minus two for the ‘don’t want that’. Would give less but that would be unfair on the start which went well. Found the experience made me feel uneasy and certainly will never go back.

Good news is I left and just bought the canon R6 ii and a couple of decent lenses from an online retailer. Whilst having a coffee opposite Wilkinson Cameras.

Very quick despatch and delivery. Husband was very happy with his new Nikon binoculars.

Great price on a Canon camera body (legitimate UK stock and warranty). Order processed, shipped and delivered as expected and without incident. You can't ask for more than that especially on such a big investment

Very disappointing experience with Wilkinson Cameras.

I was told at the time of ordering that the camera would be delivered within 4–8 weeks. After waiting a month, I was then informed that the delivery could take another 2–3 months.

This is a huge difference from what was originally promised and feels very misleading. If I had known the real timeframe, I would have ordered from another retailer.

Poor communication and unrealistic delivery expectations — I wouldn’t rely on their estimates again.
