Absolutely awful to deal with. We placed a big order for 13 doors, handles and hinges. Their quality control is awful, missing things from the order. Logistics even worse, took 3 months for everything to eventually arrive and we had to chase 10+ times. Maybe ok for your one off door if you don’t mind waiting a long time, but I would avoid if you need someone reliable, they also don’t seem to really care suggesting they’re doing their best… no offer of partial refund or anything for the inconvenience.

I have had a very disappointing experience with this company due to both a faulty product and poor customer service.

On 5 July, I contacted the company after a newly purchased door had been professionally hung and was found to exhibit a significant bow. What followed has been a frustrating six-week claims process during which the explanation for rejecting my claim has repeatedly changed. Initially, I was told the bowing was due to the door being finished with a stain rather than an oil. However, when I pointed out that the product used was Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain (one of the finishing products recommended by the company itself) and that it is an oil-based finish, the explanation then shifted to a claim that a separate clear sealing coat was required. However, Osmo's own guidance describes this product as a "base and top coat in one finish" requiring two coats on raw timber. Despite asking multiple times, the company has failed to provide any written manufacturer guidance stating that an additional clear coat was mandatory, that three coats were required, or that failure to apply such a coat would invalidate a claim for bowing.

What makes the decision even harder to understand is that I purchased a matching pair of doors. Both were stored, finished and treated identically using the same product and process. One door remains perfectly straight, while only one developed the bow.

The bow was also apparent as soon as the door was hung, yet this was dismissed without any convincing technical evidence being provided.

Most frustrating of all, after setting out these concerns in detail over a series of emails and requesting the supporting evidence for their decision, I have now received no substantive response for over two weeks, only a holding email.

I appreciate that warranty claims sometimes need to be declined, but customers deserve clear, consistent explanations backed by evidence. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite: changing justifications, unanswered questions, and poor communication throughout.

The friendly service I received was fabulous and the willingness to assist with everything.

have not received my products yet so I can't speak for that but if it is anything like the customer service I received from Layla I will be very happy , thank you for all you help. what amazing staff !!

Order placed 27th June, £2.5k of internal oak doors for a house renovation.

The published lead time is 3–5 working days plus 10 working days for oiling. We are well past the maximum published lead time — 33 calendar days since ordering — and the company still will not commit to a delivery date. The only answer given on the phone is that the order is "with planning" and that no date can be provided.

There is no order tracking, no proactive contact, and no published complaints or escalation procedure.

Updates require phoning and waiting on hold. When I asked to be escalated I was told to email customer support and that nobody else was available. On 27th July the call was ended on me while I was asking why I couldn't speak to anyone in planning to understand the delay.

We have trades booked and waiting — architrave, skirting and panelling all sit behind the doors — and every week of delay carries a real cost.

I will gladly update this review if they provide a confirmed delivery date within 48 hours. Until then I'd advise anyone working to a build programme to look elsewhere.

Ordering and delivery no issue. However one of the doors we’re not as ordered. The after care in sorting the problem……absolutely appauling. Still not resolved and every time you call can neither speak to customer service or a manager as they are always not available.

Easy company to order from, very easy to get hold of someone. All questions were answered quickly by Layla and payment was simple. All round great service.

If you are thinking of purchasing an external Oak door from UK Oak Doors be very careful. The construction of the door is not suitable for external use in the UK. Although the doors look nice in the website photographs, the quality is appalling.
Within six months, the doors have delaminated, they are constructed from layers of wood rather than being solid oak.
I made a huge mistake in purchasing this online and have now been left with the consequences of this door being completely unusable.

I see that UK Oak Doors have responded to my feedback.
We have multiple oak doors around the property and unfortunately, as we live in the UK it is not possible (even if the door has a porch to protect it) to keep rain off the door. These doors are not suitable for our climate, even though UK Oak Doors say they are for external use they are not suitable.
None of the other doors that we have purchased from joinery workshops have ever delaminated in the way this door has.
We have treated all our windows and doors with top quality oils and none of the other doors have had any issues whatsoever.
I have just read another Trustpilot review from the 4th November 2025 saying exactly the same as what I discovered. It seems they will use their T&C's to get out of any warranty on these doors.
I'm wondering how many other people have suffered the same problem and if there is an opportunity to take group action against this company?

Ledge and braced oak doors, great product and look fantastic. My customer was very pleased

On the plus side, the quality of the Oak doors are lovely. On the downside, the Customer Services department is a disgrace.
In summary, in March, well over £1000 worth of product purchased. About 40 days later, the building project is nearly completed and it turns out one 30 inch door is surplus to requirements. This door has been kept indoors and has not been unpacked. I wanted to return the door for a refund. This was refused, all customer services could do was tell me to read their T&Cs. That's not customer service, that's just patronising. If discretion is not allowed to be applied, then may as well sack them and let a bot do the job.

This company produce the best quality doors ive seen in the industry.
Second to none products, extremely good customer services excellent communication just about to start a new project will definitely be ordering from them.

The doors were solid but tongues could've been better fitting in the grooves

I’d give a 0 star if it was an option.
I ordered just short of £1000 of materials from them.
I had to pay extra for a split delivery for a door.
I ordered 8 lengths of 3m oak skirting+ other items, they only sent 4 lengths of skirting, 1 of them had a split which they’d marked but still sent it me.
Getting them to sort out the other 4 lengths was a nightmare.
The skirting is time critical for a job. I managed to get them to sort it and have it delivered to me the only day before it was too late.
I’ve now found out they haven’t even sent it to the couriers yet and it’ll now be delivered too late.
They have it in stock and knew about this issue well in advance.
Completely incompetent company.
Will not be using them again.
Really difficult to get an answer from and when I did it was a lie.

I replaced all internal doors last Autumn. Delivery was a nightmare, but that was the fault of the outsourced courier.

The packaging of the doors is not adequate which resulted in one door being damaged.

I also bought the door furniture, which is where I have real issues with quality. Five months later the handles are falling apart.

I am going to have to replace them all.

Good customer/service correspondence. And reasonible pricing.

Layla was very helpful in helping me place the order for my doors and explaining in detail the delivery options. I have previously purchased doors from UK Oak Doors and found them to be of good quality.

I'm really happy with the quality of the door. Layla was also incredibly helpful all the way. Quality customer service experience. I would be more than happy to used them again for my doors need!!
