Been waiting for my advert to be reviewed, but 1 month later it was not. I removed it, and placed the advert differently and bought a premium subscription, In hope that would speed things up. One month again and still waiting for editorial review.

This website takes the absolute piss out of their customers. I have left them over 10 emails with no responses, and I have tried looking for a contact number to call them and request a full refund, but can’t find a number.

Do yourself a favour: do not use preloved. Sell your pets elsewhere as you will be waiting months for your advert to be approved (you can’t have your advert viewed by potential buyers until it’s past the editorial review).

Absolutely scammers!

This is how to pull the perfect scam and get away with it. The worst platform in the uk. They will take your money for membership instantly but you can't actually advertise because ad approval takes months. No communication no explanation you cannot even contact them to ask what's going on. So if you have animals to sell and they have to go in a certain timeline, you and your pets are most definitely doomed. Rubbish app with scammers don't fall for it!

Appalling customer service. In fact no customer service. Taking payment for full membership but only allowing access to ‘free’ membership. No response to three requests.
Sites states they’ll get back to you ‘as soon as they can’.
Their response which is surprisingly swift after leaving a review on this site is another generic ‘copy and paste’ effort. Have contacted the Ombudsman.

I've tried to advertise on this site, my advert has been in editorial review for way over a week yet other platforms have made it live within mins very poor service i've messaged them twice through the site and had no reply

I have been a member for years, never had any issues previously but lately adverts do not get approved, the screen sometimes goes blank and you can’t log in and no one replies to customer service emails. I have paid to be a member but not getting the service.

Don't use this site! I have tried to upload an advert with no luck and them sitting in the "editorial review" stage for weeks.
Tried to contact customer service numerous times with no reply, disgusting service.

I've been trying to get an advert approved on Preloved for several weeks now and the lack of customer service is incredibly frustrating.

My advert is for Ragdoll kittens who are currently 20 weeks old. It has repeatedly been held for review with a message telling me that GCCF recommends kittens should not leave until they are at least 13 weeks old. The advert already clearly states their date of birth and that they are 20 weeks old, so they are obviously well over the minimum age.

I have even amended the advert to explicitly state that the kittens are 20 weeks old and that all kittens will only leave at 13 weeks of age or older, exactly as requested. It is STILL not being approved.

The most frustrating part is that I have contacted Preloved more than 10 times trying to find out what the problem is and have received absolutely no response. I would happily change something if there was actually an issue with my advert, but I can't fix a problem when nobody will tell me what is wrong.

Weeks of trying to get a perfectly legitimate advert live and more than 10 attempts to contact customer service without a response is simply not acceptable.

I'm posting this review in the hope that somebody from Preloved will finally look into my account and manually review the advert.

Ive never known a site to take so long to review adverts, on average usually 1-2 weeks which is awful. Dont know why im wasting my time and money on this site

EDIT Sending a stupid reply just about sums you up. I am reporting you to the Office of the Information Commission for breaching the GDPR Regulations by failing to act on my NUMEROUS requests to remove ALL my details from your database…my RIGHT TO ERASURE and for trying to take a membership fee on more than one occasion from my bank account despite me saying I do not want a membership you are being reported to the FCA send to the media who help people who cannot get responses from awful companies such as PRELOVED. EVERYONE, REPORT YOUR EXPERIENCE
They persist in trying take a membership fee without my consent even though I do not use PRELOVED. This year my card had changed so my bank blocked them and my bank told me they could continue to try to take my money. I have several times requested that they remove my details from their database. They have failed to do that and have breached the GDPR Regs and I am reporting them also to the Financial Conduct authority. The CEO does not reply and numerous links on their website do not work. AVOID

Unimpressed. As a seller you want people to be able to respond to ads but it seems that free members, which I would expect most to be, can't interact with listings that are less than 12 days old.
Pretty poor way to run things, definitely not worth bothering with

No point in paying membership. They are not publishing adverts - I have asked for a membership refund but no reply. As a point of principle, I will request a refund from my bank.
Also reporting to Trading Standards as preloved are taking money for a non existent service.

Pointless website,they dont bother approving posts or replying to messages

Interesting how you have time to respond here but no time to respond to customer messages on preloved website?? Countless other people complaining about same issues
Incidentally my adverts posted several weeks ago still are sitting awaiting approval and no messages to customer service (cough cough) have been responded too....

What has happened to Preloved?
I’ve been a regular advertiser with Preloved for many years and, until recently, have always found them professional, reliable and prompt when responding to queries.
Unfortunately, this is no longer my experience. I’ve placed two adverts which have now been waiting weeks to be reviewed, and neither has been published. I’ve also sent emails regarding the issue, but have received no response whatsoever.
What is particularly disappointing is that my subscription payment has been taken without any problem, despite the service I’m paying for not being provided.
I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of communication and the apparent decline in customer service. I hope Preloved will address this and explain what has happened to the service that used to be so professional.

Ive had adverts pending approval nearly 2 weeks,no response to any messages sent to customer services.
Would reccomend people use pets4homes and freeads instead.

I have been a member of Preloved since 2012 and on Wednesday the 15 July at 10.52 PM I received the following message “ Do you bottle your piss and sell that too” from profile user “KnMWINZ” who I've never had any contact with

I reported it to Preloved and received an automated reply “
THANK YOU. Your message has been sent. We'll get back to you as soon as we can”
ON the 10th of August, I noticed the profile had listed items, as I hadn't received any update from Preloved I reported it again

Why does Preloved allow this without any action been taken against someone who clearly uses the site to abuse other people?

**UPDATE** Stephen That was pointless requesting more information from me which I immediately supplied and now well over 2 weeks later the abusive sender of the message is still active on preloved with items for sale!!!

I have been a preloved member for several years and it worked really well. This time I placed 2 adverts on 4.8.2026. Both are not listed. I paid for membership, as it pro.ised immediate listing, that seemed to make them go live for about 24 hours and now they are back in 'needing approval'. I have contacted preloved no reply. I have just sent another message. In my opinion if there is a problem with the advert at least have the decency to contact customers, not just take their money.

This site used to be so good until the past couple of years. It's August now and I still have adverts waiting editorial review since June, I must of sent 20 emails to customer service via the site and literally not one response. I've been a member since 2003 and just cancelled my auto renewal with them and deleting the account. There are so many other ways to sell items now such as FB, freeads, gumtree..................

So I got a reply from preloved the day after this, just asking for more details and so they looked interested to others reading this.
Even now no personal reply and adverts still awaiting editorial review since June.
THEY ARE A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME

scammers, liars, going out of business and desperately illegally taking money from previous subscribers that no longer want anything to do with you,
pretending to answer reviews as if they care and you do not hear another thing from them
Your business is finished

I would give no stars if possible. This company have zero customer service, they don't reply to messages, there is no log of messages sent to them and no other way of contacting them. I paid a £6 membership fee as had several items to sell. The 1st item I listed never went live, I asked several times for help with this and got none. I then asked for a refund of my membership fee and to close my account, no response. £6 might not be a lot of money but how many other people are being ripped off like this? Shocking!

UPDATE: Following the request from Stephen on 11th August to respond to the request sent to me via my TrustPilot account, which I did immediately, I have still had no communication from them and my advert from 28th July is still waiting review. They are scammers.

Preloved used to be a great website. However, as many others have reported, some of my adverts have been in 'review' for months now, and I've sent 6 separate emails requesting assistance without receiving a single reply.

I will remove this review if I receive some assistance, but at the moment this is the only means I can think to try and prompt a response from someone at the website.
