Very Bad Customer Service Dishonest and Untrustworthy

My cousin booked a ticket for my aunt on Kuwait Airways .7th August around 3–4 PM and paid the full amount of £725. The next day, on 8th August around 10 AM, my cousin called to cancel the ticket due to an unexpected issue. She was told there would be a £150 cancellation fee. However, the policy clearly states that cancellations made within 24 hours are eligible for a full refund — but they still refused to honour it.

She contacted me since I was the one who paid for the ticket. I called them and explained that I wasn’t happy about the £150 fee, but I reluctantly agreed to proceed. Then, during a follow-up call, they suddenly added another £50 charge now demanding a total of £200 in cancellation fees.

When my cousin asked to speak with a manager, she had to explain everything all over again. The manager claimed it wasn’t their fault — saying their staff simply forgot to mention the extra £50 earlier. They told us that if we had confirmed the cancellation during the first call, we would have only paid £150. But because of their mistake and delay, we now had to pay £200.

To make things worse, we only received a refund of £525 and that also took nearly a month to process. No apology, no accountability. I honestly have no words why cheat your customers like this?

This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable. It feels like a scam, and this company is absolutely not trustworthy. I lost £200 because of their poor service and misleading policies.

I’m writing this so others don’t fall into the same trap. Be very careful I do NOT recommend using this service

I have booked flights ✈️ and holiday packages from myvacations.co.uk for many years. With great prices on tickets and holidays I recommend to check your options next time you book your vacation.

I usually use Tickets to India website to book my tickets but yes from UK. I was not aware that when booking from India the site takes you to myvacations.co.uk. Anyways I was trying to book the tickets from India to UK and it took me to myvacations.co.uk where the sector got itself reversed. and instead of booking from India to UK it booked a flight from UK to India. Upon requesting a refund a GBP 50 per person as admin fee. Costing me a loss of GBP 100. I called them up within 30 minutes of booking and informing what happened but they have not barged and I am now paying the penalty. Word of caution please make sure whenever anyone is booking via myvacations.co.uk be extra extra vigilant. Another reason I am not happy with these websites , at the end on the payment page it only asks for credit card/debit card details without showing the passengers name, date of travel, sector of travel etc..these small changes to the website can help people do a verification one more time. Just like any other airlines do.
I know writing this negative review may not hurt them but it has definitely hurt me and disappointed me. This is ridiculous that after being their customer for so long they dont have an exception mechanism.

Also please note that myvacations.co.uk has altogether a different UI feature, it first asks for 'where do you want to go' rather than from sector which one wouldn't know if the websites are shifting from one website to another whilst booking tickets. SO BE ULTRA CAREFUL.

Booked a short trip to Gibraltar recently with My Gibraltar. Jessica was really helpful booking specific seats on the aircraft for us, and then at the last minute arranging airport assistance for my husband who had badly sprained his ankle just a couple of days before. Everything went really smoothly. Thank you, Jessica.

We bought 8 x return flight tickets but my friend had mistakenly put part of my first name as my firstname. The ticket was bought around 2100 evening so when I noticed it next morning, I rang to ask to have my full name on the first name but I was told that to do that it would cost me £30.

I requested the company to waive the cost as we had bought 8 tickets worth £4000 and it was less than 24 hrs of buying the ticket. Instead they rang back asking for £45 to add the full name or else I may not be able to board the flight.

As the trip was all planned, we agreed to pay the admin fee but cost of £45 for few letters to be added within 24 hrs is not very helpful.

The hotel Mercure at Severinstrasse was first class, you can recommend it to your clientele without fear and just a 20 minute transfer from the airport. If they are visiting the Christmas Markets its location couldn't be better, with the nearest being 5 - 7 minutes and the farthest about 25 minutes away walking at a slow pace, I'm not as quick as I once was. Additionally there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

It's the first time we have flown with Germanwings and they too were first class. I've flown long haul with less legroom.

Jessica, you can be once more justly proud of the work you did on our behalf, all eight of us were delighted with everything. Thank you so much. We're not sure what we might do next year but you'll be first on the list when I book it.

Had to cancel my booking because of my grandsons illness. Rang up day before travel and a lovely young lady called shami did all she can to help and reorganise travel. 3 weeks later i rang back and shami helped me rebook. Have used this company many times over the years and i will certainly use them again after all the help i got. Great experience booked previously with my vacations and have come back and booked our hotel again.

We need to LHR-CDG-LHR tickets and called Mr. Kabir. Within 05 minutes he provided us the quotation which is very convenient for connection BG flights. The cost is very reasonable. Than next day, we asked for ticketing and we have received tickets within 05 minutes. The service of Mr. Kabir is beyond recognition. We appreciate his excellent customer service and skills.

We were pleased with our holiday package, it was a great location in NICE, France, walking distance from the beach & restaurants. The 4* hotel was lovely, polite staff and great breakfast.
