Diet Chef really works
Diet Chef really works. I started one month ago and have so far lost 15 pounds. Also, because there are three meals plus two snacks a day, this is a very easy plan to stick to. The food is tasty and I am looking forward to my 2nd box arriving later today.

The meals are delicious
The meals are delicious. I was shocked at how small the portions are.however, they are very filling.it made me realise how big my own portions had been. No wonder i piled on the weight. I have lost 3kg in the first week. I work long shifts so the micro wave ready meals are ideal and quick to prepare and handy to take to work . It may be expensive but when compared to the take aways and the food that i was wasting going out of date within a few days it does not cost much more than what i was spending a month. Some of the pre selected meals are not what i would choose .
I had not figured how to make my own selections on my first order. The use by dates on the meals vary in the box but still provide plenty of time for consumption.

Be warned that when you sign up for the meals at a discount price, you will be charged more if you cancel the order.
Meals all look the same and not very appetizing. Some of the snacks are disgusting. They also put meals and snacks in there booklet that are not available to select on their site.
Definitely not value for money.

We appreciate you pointing out the information in the booklet. Some of the meal examples included are from an earlier menu and are no longer available to select. The booklet still contains lots of useful tips and advice to help you get the most from Diet Chef and your weight loss journey, so rather than waste perfectly good booklets, we’ve decided to use up our existing stock before printing updated versions. We completely understand that it can be confusing when you see meals mentioned that aren’t currently available, and we’ll make sure your feedback is shared with the team.
You can find our full menu on our website, and you can change your menu between deliveries, so hopefully you’ll find plenty of options that you really enjoy.

Having already written one well-deserved review for Jane Plan, whose meals are truly tasty, I wanted to write another to praise the customer service I have received from Ioana, who responded quickly to my previous comment and has enabled me very easily to transfer from the seven day plan to the five day plan. This makes it much easier to stay abreast of things when friends invite me out, without disturbing the general diet plan. Full marks for efficiency, friendliness and promptness, as well as understanding my situation as someone who is not used to having to cater for just one person. Well done.

Fast delivery
Fast delivery, very well packaged. Have only had 3 full days, but i dont feel hungry. And im getting back into eating 3 meals a day. its making me think do i need that biscuit or do i just need a cuppa. im pretty excited to see tge results at tge ebd of my first 28 days

Spent some time selecting vegetarian…
Spent some time selecting vegetarian chooses and swapping dishes I wasn’t keen on. For whatever reason the changes didn’t stick and I received a box with meat options. There is a swap option, but with postage at my cost.

We’re sorry that you received meat dishes when you were expecting your menu changes to have been applied. Our pre-selected menus do contain a selection of meat dishes, so if a pre-selected menu was chosen, this may explain why these were included.
However, you’re very welcome to customise your menu and swap any meat dishes for our vegetarian options. We also have a wide variety of meals to choose from, giving you plenty of flexibility to create a menu that suits your preferences.
If you do receive meals you’d prefer not to have, our Swap Up service allows you to return them and choose alternatives. While the return of the unwanted meals is arranged by the member, we cover the delivery cost of sending out the replacement meals.
We’re sorry that your menu wasn’t as expected on this occasion and hope this helps clarify the options available.

The delivery service was terrible
The delivery service was terrible. DHL delivered to the wrong address but stopped at my house and in 31c the delivery guy only wearing shorts told me that he’d delivered to 15 rather than 11 and wouldn’t go back and collect it. So at 70 I had to go and get it, all 16kg and walk it back to my house. Fabulous.
And like another review from 3rd August, when I came to cancel as the food was mush, they charged me another £50 as I hadn’t realised I’d signed up for three months so they wanted more money to cancel.

Food is not as tasty as advertised.
The food tasted awful. I could not continue with the diet as the meals were not good. I joined them on an offer to try them. I called to cancel my order and was charged for the offer difference totalling £95.

As our longer duration plans are offered at a discounted price compared to our shorter plans, if you choose to cancel early, the only charge applied is the difference in price between the longer plan you originally selected and the shorter plan you completed.

The actual ordering and receiving of the meals was a.ok. HOWEVER, trying to cancel the subscription is proving very challenging as I have been met with a wall of silence. Avoid this company, bunch of charlatans. The food is sub-par, the customer service is piss poor. Go elsewhere.

First impressions are good.
