I have just come back from South Africa - we did Kruger the big 5 private tour and all I can say is that the whole experience was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect right from being picked up from the airport to being taken back to the airport.

The company that was used for the Private game drives was perfection and our guide was so knowledgeable, funny and entertaining ( we saw the big 5 and more).

Chimp Eden was a lovely morning out and very educational, The chimpanzees had such sad stories, I even adopted a chimpanzee!!

We stayed at the Ndhula Lodge and I am so glad we did, the staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble.
I would not hesitate in booking with co-op travel again.

Have done multiple bookings now with Coop and have had brilliant experiences all round. My last family holiday was a steal as came in £400 cheaper than the normal tour operators by them using their in house tour operators Coop Holidays. Staff are always helpful and polite 🙂

We saw a sale deal in the window so went in and booked. Looked on line when we got home to see how much we had saved and it was cheaper to book it on line. Tried to cancel with the COOP but that would have cost us £300 more. We have used them a lot of times and never checked before. Will not be using them again

At the CO-OP travel agent Solihull, we were scammed, abused and bullied.
I was mis-sold a holiday on the 13th of February, to travel with Just Go! Holidays.
The Jacobite train was the highlight of the tour, which was the only reason we were going on this trip. It was £799 per person, where we depart on 17th May. We asked for a guarantee that the Jacobite train would be running and we were assured that it's running from May 2025.
We agreed to book on the condition that should the Jacobite not be in service, we would have the right to cancel with a full refund.
It was with this guarantee, we paid all the expenses in one payment, which they mandated to be paid in cash.
We waited for correspondence, which never arrived.
Only when visiting the co-op travel agents in Solihull, did we find out that the Jacobite would not be running. We immediately informed them that we would like to cancel, to which we were told, "you do not have the right to cancel and if you do, you will lose all the money you have paid".
Threatened with this financial loss, we were forced go on the tour and we enjured the living hell. We lodged a complaint immediately, and we were told litigations were pending, claiming all costs and compensation.
We returned from the tour on 22nd May and I made a complaint to the travel agent in person. After waiting several weeks for a response, we decided to go back to the travel agent, to chase up our complaint.
A female member of staff was extremely rude and hostile, when we requested a subject access request and bluntly refused.
She grabbed me by the hand, and started stroking me as if I was an animal. I found this manhandling, humiliating and offensive.
When we bought it to the attention of the manager, he became hysterical. We also asked him for subject access request for CCTV cameras in the shop. He was screaming all sorts of threats that he could subject us to, if we continued with the complaint.
Out of fear, we walked out the door and he confiscated our notes, photographs and memory stick. He would not allow us to return to the shop.
We have been put in a position where we are forced to proceed with litigations, not only to claim for the loss of a holiday, but to safeguard the elderly and vulnerable that we witnessed being scammed, bullied and abused.

Hellesdon branch review

I popped into the store to initially to use the post office services as I have family in New Zealand and wanted to send a parcel. I had not packed my parcel so purchased the necessary materials to do this. Unfortunately finding a space to wrap and label this was not easy until the wonderful manager Tracy in Coop Travel offered me a space to wrap and label my parcel. She was so welcoming and I am so grateful to her for her generosity. It’s good to know that human kindness does exist. Thank you Tracy, I usually book my holidays with another company BUT I will be using you in future. My family and friends are all aware of your good service, I cannot thank you enough for your help. Never Again, you cant get hold. of anyone, via phone, email or message. We have spent 12 k on a USA holiday and not getting anything back from Coop Travel.
No customer service at all they really dont care, they should not be doing holidays for people. Will now go down the legal route. Once they get your money they run.

Everything ! Booked a gold standard trip to Egypt it was anything but gold we are still pursuing this but their attitude is pretty much tough and I fear we will end up in court. Needless to say we will not be travelling with them again !

I don't think they want people to leave the country. I'd like to think it's because they care about our safety or something but I really think it's because they're just lazy and can't be bothered to do their jobs. We went in and had what we thought was a positive chat about a holiday, we gave them our details and they haven't bothered to get back to us. We're now booking online so coop travel are pushing customers to other online booking platforms. Absolute fail of a company.

Zero control over their agents, zero accountability to customers, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Calls go unanswered, emails not responded to.

Brad at Finchfield Travel, Wolverhampton, (part of the Co-op group) could not have been more helpful. Every request regarding my holiday was answered swiftly and expertly by Brad. Brad is certainly very knowledgeable about world travel and I would ask for him every time to organise my foreign travel. Thank you Brad for responding to my many queries. we can rest assured and look forward to our holiday.

I use coop travel in Beeston. I booked a trip in 2024 to the USA with a different agent in Nottingham and they really didn't have a clue so now I'll only use coop travel in Beeston. Last December I had a 100% successful trip to Madeira with jet2 via coop travel, Beeston and next week I'm having a holiday in Spain via coop travel Beeston. However I had an accident just before I should be flying and these travel agents have done their utmost to assist me. I appreciate all their help, especially Kelly, who has made calls and sent emails to help. Thank you.

Co Op Travel booked us a holiday this year in Lanzarote. The person we dealt with jad just come back from maternity leave and didn't seem to know the computer system or details of how to book our holiday. My mother had wanted to use them as she has frequently but I found the whole process laborious and disjointed. The member of staff who booked us in got the name details wrong for the rooms, and kept telling us she wasnt allowed to alter the arrangements because TUI wouldn't let her on the system. I'm afraid I wouldn't use them again any time soon. Extremely disappointing

Too many glitches, started well asking for departure airport and destination (anywhere would be a good option for destination) but when I put in any of the London airports, Stansted being first choice, the page wouldn't go any further, I tried even airports outside my range but same occurred,,, the page had annoying pop up thingy that stated it would assist,,,, I thought it might be AI assistance so clicked on it,, but they just wanted my details for them to get back to me at their convenience,,,,,, there's far more easier sites out there that I can surf with full details pictures prices etc that I don't have to do open ended texts to and share names and emails with before I even begin looking

I booked a package trip to krakow for march for my best friend and I. Unfortunately my brother in law passed away suddenly last week and I have tried to change the dates of the trip or flight times in order for me to attend the funeral ( on the day we are due back)
There is availability to move the whole trip by 1 day but the coop want to charge us £450 to change ( more than the actual trip cost !) or cancel with 100% charge - what a choice !!
I am totally disappointed with the coops response - all they were interested in was claiming on insurance , which is not an option . Heartbroken I have to miss the funeral and will never book with the co op again

Beware of business class flight upgrades. They are advertised and when you book the confirmation will come through as economy. Allegedly a glitch they are looking into but you can still wrongly book these flights on their website days later.
Blatant mis-selling.

I had a great experience with this travel agency especially with Mark. Our family friends recommended their services to us and I have to admit that it made my holiday planning so much easier. I can highly recommend them. Mark was professional, communication was excellent keeping me up to date until the final transactions with all details. I will definitely use their services in the future and I will recommend them to my family and friends.

I have to say that inspite of the negative comments at Coop Travel, I had a brilliant experience with Mark at the Solihull branch when he was covering at Coventry. He organised my flights, checked me in and printed out the info I needed to just turn up at the airport. The extra fee to do this was about £35 ish but its all sorted; I'm relaxed and not stressed out. I have to say I did speak to another staff member in his absence which wasn't positive but I'd give Mark's Customer Service 10/10. All Customer Service should be at this level and I hope the rest of the staff who are not delivering a positive experience get some training. Thank you, Mark.

We have just booked a 2024 Nov. holiday and paid a deposit, but are already experiencing issues with lack of communication and no information. Extremely worried and contemplating cancellation. Has anyone done Taj and Tigers tour this year? Did it go well??
