Selling stock they don’t have
I ordered 2 512gb memory cards but after ordering was told they only had one in stock. They said that 1 would be delivered then the other as soon as it was back in stock. Far from ideal but I went with it.
This went on without any news for a while, so I chased it up. They then told me they weren’t getting any more in stock, so they refunded me.
The biggest problem I had with this was the delivery charge was nearly £13, which I would never have paid for 1 card!! Meaning that the one card I received, cost significantly more than I was expecting!! Selling stock they don’t have is unacceptable.
When I brought this up with them, the response was pretty much ‘tough luck’ only phrased better.

At the time your order was placed, there was only one Wise Technology card available from the UK distributor, despite your order being for two cards. We contacted you immediately to advise that only one card was in stock and that the second card would be supplied as soon as it became available from the distributor.
Our standard delivery charge is £9.95 ex VAT (£11.94 inc VAT), and all orders are shipped securely via DPD. The first card was dispatched and delivered to you the next working day. The second card would also have been sent via DPD at no additional cost to yourself once stock became available.
Unfortunately, the remaining card was subsequently discontinued by the manufacturer and became end-of-life. As soon as we were made aware of this, we informed you immediately and processed a full refund for the outstanding card.
With regard to your comment that our response was effectively “tough luck”, albeit phrased differently, we respectfully dispute this characterisation. Yes we could have informed you of the stock situation quicker, if we were made aware of it, but we believe we fulfilled the available part of your order promptly, and issued a full refund without delay when it became clear that the remaining item could no longer be supplied.
We appreciate that this outcome was disappointing and apologise for any inconvenience caused. However, the circumstances were unfortunately beyond our control, and we believe we acted promptly and fairly at every stage.

An excellent experience shopping with 3D Broadcast. Martin was brilliant from start to finish with my recent purchases and his colleague Phillip was great in allowing me to view the kit myself in person.

I am very sorry but media cards are part of the non refundable items that are listed on our website under our terms and conditions. We pointed you towards Angelbirds website because this card carries a 3-year Limited warranty which is undertaken by Angelbird the manufacture and not by 3D Broadcast so if there is an issue with your card it will be replaced/repaired by them. Once memory cards are opened and used we are not able to take them back.
I am sorry that you are unhappy with our reply to you. You stated that the card is “not recognised by your camera” as you have provided no more details than that to us, it is very difficult to suggest anything other than try to format the card in your camera that you are using?
I am sure one you have contacted Angelbirds service department (which is very good by the way) the issue will get resolved.
