Good products but slow delivery and poor comms

I ordered the most beautiful merino light pink with part cashmere blanket throw from the wool company a British company not china to get a great item made in ireland
They sent grey herringbone not the good item i have ordered, they took all day to agree to change to my proper chosen colour so I trust shopping here and we just have to exchange product now

Ordered a small seconds sheepskin rug. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Lovely little rug, small yes, but perfect for what I wanted it for. And a beautiful blue. Would purchase from this company again

Back in 2018 I ordered a wool blanket from this company and it is still beautiful and in mint condition ten years on. I recently ordered a sheepskin, dove grey for my disabled husband to sit on. He said it was wonderful, soft and eased his back like nothing else has. The company delivers what they say and their products are world class.

Delightfully easy website, found a scarf I’ve been searching for, for a long time. Great story and very values created. Scarf delivered in record time and I’m wearing it now.

I ordered a baby cashmere hat , made in Scotland. Next day it was delivered, in beautiful, eco friendly package. The hat is a high quality, beautiful and very soft fir newborn. Very pleased with everything, thanks!

I purchased a merino blanket that cost over £200 from this company. This was 10 days ago and not only I have not received the item, I am still waiting for it to be dispatched. On top of that I emailed them querying about this and no response received. Same over the website chat, no response. I’m now starting to reach over their social media until I get a response from them. This company so far seems to be a scam to me so I would not purchase from them.

We are very pleased with our throw, so very soft, it looks perfect on our new sofa along with the fast delivery.

Well- all I can say is that the Merino Wool Mattress Topper ought to be MANDATORY for all and everyone!!! It is truly remarkable- amazing- miraculous - and any other superlatives I can think of. I recently had a shoulder operation and found it hard to sleep - but even before that I would toss and turn a lot - either too hot or too cold … or just plain uncomfortable ( I am in my late 70’s so quite a few aches and pains) anyway- this beautiful item arrived - the double Merino Wool Mattress Topper- and for the first time in years I slept all night long- perfect temperature- perfect softness and comfort. Absolutely DELICIOUS.
I have one serious complaint however…
I don’t want to get up out of bed - and when I do manage to, I can hardly wait to get back. ( that’s two complaints in fact)
So - don’t hesitate one moment before buying this - it is truly life changing. I can’t believe I had to wait all these years before getting one.
If you are young or have babies- get one for everybody in the family - children included!.

Eileen was fab, answered all my questions quickly, I purchased the car seat cover and it does not disappoint, it’s a light cream colour so goes well with the beige interior in the Volvo, soft, warm, doesn’t slide around, does not shed at all, which a concern of mine.
Delivery stayed 3-10 days but mine arrived in a day.

I recently ordered a pair of shoes from Herring Shoes, beautifully made and supremely comfortable. The only thing that let the look down a little was my socks! Then I found The Wool Company. On offer there they have everyday mens 100% silk socks, ok at £11.00 a pair they are not cheap but the shoes were quite expensive so why not? I ordered a pair and in just a couple of days they arrived. Do socks really make that much of a difference to your shoes and how you feel wearing them? Oh yes! The socks are so comfortable and look amazing too. The customer service at The Wool Company is professional and friendly and coupled with Royal Mail Tracked Delivery, your order arrives safe and on time. Just heading back to The Wool Company web site to order more silk socks! Brian B

I found the website by chance and liked the rose gold merino & silk shawl to go with a silk dress for a wedding. The colour was out of stock but a “second” was offered at a greatly reduced price. I ordered it, not knowing what to expect and am absolutely thrilled with it. I’ve no idea why it’s a second, there’s nothing visibly wrong with it. The quality of the fabric is exceptional, I’m already eyeing up other products as Xmas gifts.

I purchased the Emilie Double-Faced Wool Blanket in lavender — but soon discovered that the colour represented online is very different from that of the actual product. You'll see that the image shows a blue-based lilac, with a dove-grey underside. In reality the blanket has a warm, tan/beige underside, edging that is also beige, and the lavender is a puce-pink — a much warmer colour. I know screen settings can alter the colours slightly, but this was such a dramatic difference that for a moment I thought they'd simply sent me the wrong colourway.

There's also some confusion about the sizing. The Italian company that make these blankets, Lanerossi, who I assume sell on through The Wool Company, list a single as 160cm x 220cm, but The Wool Company call their 'Single' the 180cm x 210cm — which is what Lanerossi deem a double.

The quality is terrific, and though the returns process took ten days (and is done at the customer's own expense), I think I'd buy from this company again. I'd probably call up the store and ask to be shown the product on video-call: I don't feel confident that the web platform really shows what you're getting, and it's a bit of a trial to lug blanket-boxes to and fro from the post office, having risked it.

Garments arrive promptly ….. six in the last year.
This is the only online company I buy with that charges freight on items over $100

Excellent service and beautiful product. I ordered a baby shawl for a baptism, this arrived very quickly. The shawl itself is gorgeous, so soft and beautifully made. It is absolutely perfect. Customer service was excellent as well as I made an error in my delivery information which was rectified immediately by the team. Thank you!

Five stars to this closenit family company with exceptional customer services. First time placing an order and from the customer service representative on the phone to the personal touch email from the co-founder made me feel like a valued customer unlike some other brands that are profit driven and couldn’t care about their customers.

I purchased the ‘ Quilted Wool Pillow Protector and it exceeded my expectations. It looks & feels padded and will extend the life of any pillow. I bought to use with my wool pillow. It differs slightly online but looks much better in person. I will be sure to purchase another set.

Very efficient delivery and very good quality baby rug! Will buy again!

After Falke discontinued my favourite silk socks, I ordered two pairs of silk socks from The Wool Company. They were sold and labelled as size 3-7 (I’m a size 4). When they arrived I could see that one pair was too large, but had to open the others to find out that they were also too big. I tried one on: it was loose and sagging on my foot and wouldn’t stay up on my ankle. I emailed to let the company know the issue, but when I returned the socks they didn’t refund me the £5 postage I’d paid. I don’t think this was fair given that the sizing was misleading. So I’ve wasted £5 and a lot of time. Won’t be using again.

I use a lot of wool felt for my small textile gift business. I can always rely on the wool felt company for QUALITY felt. Also love the stars and hearts for spacers on Bunting. Amazingly quick delivery and well packaged too.
