I think greed has set in. They want 500.00 sitting at their disposal for whatever, bills. But I did not find this out until I made a sale in a new shop there. They blocked the sale from happening until I put up the 500.00. No thanks, this is sketchy stuff. If you use free shipping they will charge you 2.00 for shipping anyway. This site is a no go for me. Worst one I have tried to use yet.

They closed my account after I paid ad charges of $14.95 plus $25. My email is not being responded. They are 100% scammers.

My experience with Bonanza Ecommerce South Africa has left me with serious concerns and many unanswered questions.

I joined the platform after being presented with an opportunity to earn income through its e-commerce activities. During my involvement, I made payments into an ABSA bank account provided by the company and received documentation that included a registration number and business information.

As a cautious investor and pensioner, I later began conducting my own due diligence. I attempted to obtain additional information regarding the company’s management, directors, physical business address, operational structure, source of income, and the safeguards in place to protect members’ funds. Unfortunately, I struggled to obtain clear and satisfactory answers to many of these questions.

While I was provided with registration details, I learned that the existence of a registration number alone does not necessarily verify the legitimacy, financial stability, or business practices of an organisation. For this reason, I believe prospective members should independently verify all information before making any financial commitment.

I have also searched for independent reviews and found that a number of other individuals have reported concerns regarding transparency, withdrawals, communication, and the overall operation of the platform. Although I cannot verify every claim made by others, these reports increased my own concerns and prompted me to investigate further.

My intention in posting this review is not to make accusations but to encourage caution. Before depositing money, I recommend that potential members:

• Verify all company information independently.
• Confirm the identities of the people operating the business.
• Request full written terms and conditions.
• Obtain clear explanations regarding how profits are generated.
• Confirm whether any regulatory approvals or registrations are required.
• Keep records of all payments, communications, and documentation received.

This review reflects my personal experience and concerns based on the information available to me at the time of writing. I would welcome a detailed response from the company addressing these outstanding questions and providing greater transparency for current and prospective members.

Another sort of smart scam. They closed my booth before it is opened but it took days to give me refund. The search result in internet was telling that opening a shop on Bonanza marketplace is free but when I make account and in the last stage they said they should verify me by my credit card and when I put details there, they asked for money so I thought it is Ok so I paid and left the website to setup my booth the other day, but when came back I saw that I cannot log in and when I checked my email I got to know that my booth is closed, before it is opened! but they have charged my credit card, so I have to send several emails to them to finally get my money back. They did not provided any clear reason why they could not open an account for me but I don't care as they are shxxt. I am selling on Etsy, ebay and Amazon KDP so better not to deasl with bonanza. Please avoid them

Their customer service is terrible. Reached out to the seller on their website that they sent me a damaged product and over 3 weeks later no response.

The customer service was no help. Kept sending me the same copy and paste email and not reading my responses at all. All for a $10 item.

Purchased an item on the third of December 2025 for $19.99, USPS Ground Advantage $7.80, plus Tax $1.49. Total $29.28. I did NOT receive any word of confirmation/shipping from Bonanza for seven days. USPS delivered it twelve days after the initial date. It is a knockoff.

Bonanza.com is misleading international sellers. They allowed me to pay a $14.99 activation fee from Pakistan, let me spend days setting up my store, and then abruptly closed it citing 'region restrictions'. This information should have been blocked at the payment gateway level. Their support (Keith) ignores the loss of business hours and mental agony, sending automated templates about 'growth'. I have officially reported them to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC Report #197521281). Stay away if you value your time and money!

You didn't give me a chance to pay my monthly bill, so you suspended my account for the 3rd time, and each time you asked me to enter my card details. I did it successfully, now you have closed my account. They said that they were unable to activate my account even after using your customer service. So I have to say that my account was closed through your fault, I am not happy with the service you provide to your sellers.

I had a deeply frustrating experience using Bonanza as a seller due to serious technical and support failures.

After importing my listings, my booth experienced data corruption, including missing images, incorrect photo assignments, and listings displaying images that belonged to other sellers. These problems made my listings unreliable and, in some cases, unusable.

Although Bonanza acknowledged technical issues on their end, the problems were not resolved in a timely manner, and no clear timeline or accountability was provided. During this period, I continued to be charged listing fees, including charges based on an incorrect number of active listings. Requests to pause or adjust billing while the booth was malfunctioning were denied.

Support responses were largely generic and repetitive, with tickets being closed before the issues were fully addressed. Ultimately, I had to dispute charges through my bank to recover fees that were billed while my booth was not functioning correctly.

Based on this experience, I have serious concerns about Bonanza’s platform stability, data handling, and seller support. I would caution other sellers who depend on accurate listings and reliable infrastructure to consider these risks carefully before using this marketplace.

This was the worst experience I have ever had on any platform.

After spending many hours setting up my first store ever, creating and importing many listings from my Etsy shop, my account and store were suddenly closed without any explanation or prior notice.

It was a real shock. I carefully read and followed all their policies, and I am 100% sure this is not a policy violation issue.

Because of this, I do not recommend anyone to spend even one minute on this platform. It is a complete waste of time and energy.

Underappreciated ebay competitor. I am yet to use my account but I think it has potential to rival the tech giant. Let's see what's in it after the holiday crraze settles.

I used to sell on this platform even didn't sell much, the fees were cheap. I recently started back up with them and was only aware of the $15 starting fee and the fees for when you sell an item. They now sneak in multiple fees for listing items, I was totally unaware until I got another charged $20 in listing fees. I can't close my account because of the fees and nobody answers the customer support inquiries. They are more expensive than eBay now & eBay has much more to offer.

E ora vengo minacciato se non verso altri 7.000.00 euro. Il sito è collegato a Bonanza.vet a loro dire. Se non lo è fermateli!

They strongly come off as a skeleton crew company with email bots (and there's no phone support of course) pretending to be people for customer support. There's no transparency when you ask certain questions. They either say they don't have to disclose that one point or simply ignore the questions they don't want to answer. They are not community-oriented in the slightest bit, probably neither for sellers or buyers alike. I would steer clear or tread very carefully. If you use them at all as a seller read everything very carefully before you go signing up and giving them their fees. And the $15 store set up fee is charity you give them because they simply do not have wide exposure and most people don't even know they exist. That's something I would expect to pay eBay for some temporary wider exposure than normal.

You might get a sale every 3 months and with over 2500 items listed the fees are very high to have that many items listed. You can not get a hold of anyone if you have a question or concern and no one ever gets back to you. I would skip this site. Big waste of time!

I've sold only 2 items in the last 10 years on Bonanza, compared to selling hundreds of items on other marketplace sites. Then they started charging my credit card a monthly fee without my consent. I had to call my credit card company to remove the charges. Bonanza is by far the worst online marketplace site I've sold on. Such a waste of time and effort. I cannot figure out why Google AI would list Bonanza as 4th in best online marketplace sites to sell on. Unfortunately, misinformation is rampant in today's America and you cannot believe anything you hear or read from media and big tech companies. They are all bought and paid for!

Tried to open new seller account. First received error while importing my items from Etsy, then once everything was setup Bonanza for some reason declined my card and closed my account. I used same card on eBay, etsy, Amazon and only Bonanza declined it. I don't what kind of requirements are to open account with them, but it is clearly way too much!

Warning, they closed my account without warnings, I did nothing wrong. Also they kept the opening fees, This is a scam, I asked them to refund me the fees and I will update the review if they refunded me.. Be careful here!
