As BigNorman provided no goods and no refund after many of my attempts to contact them over the last two and a half months, I am getting a charge back processed on my credit card.

BigNorman did communicate, and did attempt to refund the money, but my definition of a refund is that it arrive in my bank account. It is their responsibility to see this happens.

This was most definitely the very worst online buying experience I have ever had and I really don't see how these guys have such a high review rating.
It took twenty days from date of payment to receive the lens kit, and this was an order from within New Zealand. These guys are definitely drop shipping and whilst i have no problem with that, I do have a problem with being fobbed off with untrue statements.
The communication was shocking and customer service very unhelpful, it is a wonder they can survive in business with this lack luster service.
I will never trade with them again.

Being a person who prefers to purchase goods in Australia, I found the value on this site to be excellent. The fact they called me to confirm the order and let me know it was being dispatched that day was of great comfort.
The camera arrived as per expectation, although I was a little disappointed with the packaging. Just putting the boxed camera into a plastic satchel is a little ordinary and the box was in less than perfect condition on arrival. The camera fortunately was ok and so far works perfectly so they got away with it this time. Perhaps a little bubble wrap and some extra packaging wouldn't go astray. I wouldn't be purchasing an expensive lens from them with packaging like that!

I've been a photographer for fifty years, about half of them as a working full time professional. Over those years I have had dealings with most of the big name companies at some time or another for cameras, lenses, studio and lab equipment, the whole nine yards! I can honestly say that bignormans' has provide as good a service and communication as any company I have dealt with, and the prices are substantially less than any of their competitors I could find on the internet.

What a great company to deal with. Goods arrived fast, and in great order.

The goods received on the 31st of April were not completely compatible with what was required and were returned the next day by fast post to Auckland..

Since then I have had several e-mail contacts with a John who has given me no information at all that would give me any sort of satisfaction as far as what I can expect. So while I rate the original service good i can only rete the follow-up service poor.

I was happy overall. Good price and fast delivery.
But I had a question where I wanted an answer I couldn't get it. I called
phone number many times, no answer. I send email, No answer..

But like the website said "we don't operate huge phoneservice" or something like this.

I think your company is very well organised. I was very impressed with the online updates as to the location of my camera lens up to the time it arrived in Auckland. All downhill from there. A Monday pm delivery was promised. It didn't happen. A phone call to the NZ courier at 5 pm on Monday was no help. They claimed that the package had been delivered and signed for by me in Palmerston North. I live in Napier. The PN depot had no paperwork (or it had been lost) but I was told on Tuesday morning that it had just been handed to a courier driver coming to Napier for delivery. No paper trail. I was sweating my $1,000 by this stage. It was finally delivered late Tuesday. An unimpressive, stressful, Mickey Mouse way of running a business.

Ordered a nice Canon EF-S 17-135mm lens.
Product arrived exactly as advertised. Not in a Canon box though and no manual but for the price, a total bargin.

Had trouble with payment going through . But got a phone call that let me know it had gone through ok . So apart from problems of it freezing while making payment it was very good service.You might like to reveiw your coments on the page you sent when things go wrong it was confusing.

Perfect price, perfect help answering my questions and very quickly too. Great dependable service. I will definitely be back! As I am perfectly happy! :)

As soon as I confirmed my order, things started happening. The entire process eliminated any stress & I had my purchase delivered with a smile a few days later. It was especially impressive as I live in the Southern Hemisphere & the goods came from the Northern Hemisphere

Was really happy with the great deal, very economical. It took a little bit longer to arrive, about 8 days but worth it for the savings !

Happy to deal with them in the future, I sent them several e-mails and found they communicate swiftly, their delivery time of ordered goods is reasonable compared to other online retailers I have dealt with.

Ordered Sigma 70-200 lens.
An initial order issue, not of their making, was hard to correct quickly due to difficulty in contacting them by phone. Once contacted, they were very polite and helpful. Even with the order issue the item was delivered within 8 days of ordering.
The one negative is that the site indicated they had the item in stock but when I got the UPS shipping notification it showed the item was shipped from Hong Kong. I would have preferred to have known up front.

I recently made my first purchase from BigNorman.Once I placed my order it was six days and my order was delivered to my home at no extra cost to me.Also saved many dollars on the purchase price.Would reecommend this company to anyone

I purchased the incorrect item, nevertheless it arrived promptly, and on realizing my mistake I was assisted with return etc.
