There were so may things that made my experience in the Southwold store so unpleasant.

The purchase I made was scanned at full price, although it was on special offer. Then I had to ask for a paper receipt, and if I did not I would probably have not known that I was overcharged. I suspect that many people were overcharged in this way.

I then raised this issue with an attendant, and it took her quite a while to locate this item in the store to realise that it was on special offer ( in fact in the end I had to show to her where it was). Then there was a complicated operation with the refund . So, instead of just enjoying a nice glass of wine I have been having a lot of grief and hassle.

My husband and I also tried your cafeteria, which was another great disappointment. The menu was pathetic, with very little choices for food, the coffees were overpriced and tepid.

AVOID!

Just received delivery of my 6th order with Adnams. The delivery is always quick, the products are great, and the one time I've had to call customer service, they were very friendly and helpful.

Would strongly recommend the Ghost Ship 0.5!

I have always had excellent service on deliveries. As reasonable local Adnams do their own deliveries, normally within 1-3 days. We regularly shop at the Adnams Shops in Southwold as well and always great service.

I am extremely unhappy with the total lack of service I have received from this company. I ordered a case of beer costing £59 on the 3rd of March. It was a birthday present for my father in law. He has never received it. This was massively disappointing especially since I payed for express shipping. I have emailed to ask for a refund but have received no response from Adnams and no refund. This is thoroughly unacceptable and horrendous. I do NOT recommend this company.

I know times have changed things are expensive everywhere now but please if you have a nice cafe come restaurant please put something on the plate more substantial, £12.95 for egg cup of trout come cream cheese pate , a half cup of rocket , half a small tomato and two slices of bread stating it was bloomer it was straight out a bag of bread awful , £8.50 for a potato with tuna on top the best part of this menu was a cup of tea even that was a weak tea

Some people do actually have birthdays in December, but perhaps Adnams doesn't care about them. Ordered a mixed case and paid extra for EXPRESS delivery on 4th December. It's now 12th and birthday boy is still waiting. I like the beer but definitely won't be ordering again, despite the cynical voucher for money off next time.

Thought I would try a home delivery as I had tried and very much liked their "old ale" ...order put in on Friday and received Saturday, driver was very helpful ,couldn't have asked for more .Will be buying again .....and again .thank you Adnams

For a 0.5% beer, Adnams Ghost Ship is a really good substitute for the real thing, substantially enabling me to get through ‘Dry January’.
I did experience difficulties with delivery to my home, however this was entirely due to Yodel (who used standard boxes and packing tape to repackage the damaged and/or missing contents, rather than the branded packaging and tape that Adnams use). Adnams customer service support was exemplary. They were pleasant, understanding and professional, ensuring that I was happy with the outcome of my purchase.

Placed a one-item order on 3rd December 2023 for a Xmas present delivery, wanting to get it all done in good time. It has not been shipped as far as I know by 15th, emailed them yesterday morning for an update, no reply as of yet. Not had anything like this from any other retailer.

'Oh and it makes me wonder' as the song goes.

Edit: Finally delivered on 21.12.2023. Got there in the end. I think the Wise Men got there quicker by camel train, oh well.

I'll start by clarifying that I've been a huge fan and customer of Adnams for years (I even made my wedding venue get Adnams on tap & bottles last year) however both my wife and I (separately) have been hugely let down by poor customer service over the 2 weeks. I attempted to raise a large order on 6th Sep for my 50th birthday, but the VOYAGE15 discount code didn't work so I emailed Adnams customer services on 7th, and received a response saying that their IT would investigate it. I chased them on 11th & 13th (my 50th was on 13th, with party on 17th) but the issue was never resolved. What I did receive was another marketing email with the same code in it (that still didn't work). Unbeknown to me, my wife also tried to order both booze for my 50th party AND Adnams gifts for me!!! However, none of the order ever arrived. When she chased Adnams as to where the order was, again as it was getting near to my birthday, she received a response saying some of the items were out of stock (so, the whole order was put on hold, with no notice provided of the delay!!!).
Adnams, as one of your biggest fans, this was a huge letdown. The worst thing was that all my party guests had to drink less desirable beer in non-Adnams glasses!
Obviously it's too late for me now, but please sort this service out Adnams! - At least part deliver orders or send emails to advise the whole order is on hold! And, make sure your discount codes work, or, get back to customers with orders on hold a lot faster when there is issues!

Stayed for 3 nights at the White Horse Blakeney recently. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was big with a walk in shower as requested
Need to give special shoutouts to Mark who welcomed us and facilitated a parking space and who seemed to be everywhere at the same time serving food and drinks and welcoming guests; Saskia who introduced us to Baby Guinness and Doreen who managed to make sure we all got breakfast and drinks for two mornings on her own when the hotel was let down by staff not turning up’

Good service, no problems at all.

Christmas order never turned up.I placed an order on the 18th of December and payed for express delivery
There cut off time for Christmas orders was the 19th at noon.
Got to Friday the 23rd still no order so I rang them & was told my order was still waiting to be picked by the warehouse as will not be here for Christmas.
I was told they could get it for new year if I wanted to reorder
I told them I ordered this for Christmas Day not for the new year I was told there is nothing they can do
I have now cancelled the order
Will not use these again and Addams need to change there website advertising the delivery if they can’t fulfil there advertising promise
So much for express delivery
Will not order from them again

Ordered German beer (Bitburger Pils) for a very dear friend of mine, which was meant to be a surprise. Unfortunately, the delivery company did not even try to deliver the first time round, so what was meant to be a surprise did not end up being one: had to ask my friend to stand outside and wait for the delivery next time round to ensure he would get it.
Calandra from Adnams responded proptly, and even offered a discount for a future order (despite this not being their fault, but the courier's). While I am still very wary of the delivery company, Adnams provided superb customer service. It is clear they care about their customers.
And my friend is enjoying his beers. :-)

I am a regular customer of Adnams, either in their shops or online (plus their pubs of course) and never had anything to complain about.

However my latest order wasn’t as smooth as it should have been. Ordered online for local delivery, which comes from their shop on Unthank Road. They quote 3-5 days for delivery and it normally arrives in 2-3, however on this occasion it has been over a week and nothing. So I rang customer services who called the shop, they informed me that they believed the order was currently out for delivery and the shop manager would call me back to confirm. 3 hours later and 15 mins before the shop shut and no call, so I called them directly to be informed my order was loaded in the van 30 mins ago so was on it’s way, so wasn’t out for deliver at all. It did however arrive shortly after 6pm, and it included 2 extra bottles of wine as an apology.

I took from this that they had just missed my order completely and rushed to get it out to me that day. A few errors there but to make mistakes is human, it’s how you respond is what makes the difference and with 2 free bottles of wine that made my day.

Only half of my order arrived, contacted Adnams and left a message as I was just outside working hrs. Adnams have chosen not to call me back or even email about my missing items. Instead they loaded a second order free of charge but still no explanation or any form of communication to tell me this. Then Yodel have made it so much worse

Twice have been in shop this year and on both occasions been told don't accept cash. Get with the times Adnams. Cash is back
