They were very helpful when I put my money into a 2 year fixed ISA. Then the problems began ! They would not pay the interest back into the ISA and would only pay it into the linked current account which meant that it lost its tax free status for 2 years.
Obviously I wanted to transfer all of my money out when the fixed period was up.
I gave ample notice of my wishes and my new provider made a Transfer Request, for the total amount in the ISA account, in plenty of time. I also sent several secure messages/emails to confirm this.
When the maturity date came and went I sent a secure message asking what they were doing, they then sent my new bank just over half of my funds claiming that was all that had been requested which was completely untrue.
When I queried what was going on, as I knew that all of my money had been requested, they said that time had run out and my money was now in a new 2 year ISA and I would have to pay a large penalty to transfer it out.
I then submitted a complaint to the complaints department. Be aware that they give themselves 35 working days to respond and in my case they took exactly 7 weeks before I got a decision.
After 13 weeks beyond the maturity date I finally got all of my money transferred to my new ISA provider.
This has been a very stressful 3 months and I would not recommend this foreign bank to anybody who wants a worry free life !!
Nightmare, avoid this unprofessional 'bank' in name only - I tried to transfer an existing ISA in and followed the steps on the website.
UBL then claimed the funds were above annual allowance and from a current account - which is not the case (it's been transfer from old ISA money in ISA account).
They then transferred the money back and my money is now in 'nirvana', it is not in any of my accounts! I am not able to trace where it is' and it has been 24h.
One person in the UBL call center is generally incapable to advise. It is shocking that they can call themselves a bank.
After sending a complaint, as advised by my bank, that their set up guidance is misleading, they did not properly acknowledge the complaint. The only statement was that the money was transferred back in one sentence.
How can websites like Money Saving Expert even mention such schemes?

UBL made my ISA money current money
My bank tried to transfer out , but UBL sent me a message that they refused to transfer it out.
I sent a complaint on 19.6. as advised in UBL's response to my review but they have not responded.

I opened an account with yourselves to transfer an ISA to. The transfer did not happen. I have spoken with 2 of your employees today to try and address the issue. The first woman sounded as if she was working from home and making a cup of tea. Very poor overall experience with her. The second came across very agressive and when I explained that to her she said I was insulting her. I will not be moving my funds to you bank. The other bank involved in the transfer on the other hand was very helpful and supportive and are still looking into the matter and coming back to me. I will avoid working with your bank in future.

Tried to open ISA online by transfer from another provider. Spent all morning try to use their pathetic website. None of my details got logged so I have wasted my time. These people in my opinion are USELESS. I telephoned several times: long wait times and then got CUT OFF. Helpdesk staff worse than useless.

The replies come quickly, but it feels like the staff are being marked on how quicky they reply and nothing else. I wouldn't use them again.

Opening ISA was easy. Trying to actually have communication from customer services appears impossible. A week has gone by and no reply to secure message which they said they aim to reply to within 24 hrs but then after you submit a message it then says within 3 days. Regardless, it's been more than that and no reply. Now sent an email and no again there will be no reply. Wouldn't use this bank at all. Certainly doesn't feel like your money is in safe hands

Account set up for isa was ok,app ok but it's taking ages to transfer out. When I called didn't feel it was secure as could hear another person in the back ground talking to someone else on the phone about their account and had to ask the person talking to me to repeat what they said as the other person was loud.
Please steer well clear of this outfit, I am still waiting over three weeks to transfer my money transfer to another provider, you cannot gat through on the phone line, they do not respond to secure messages sent through the portal and promised me my money over a week ago but still waiting. I am now going through the financial ombudsman to try and get my money! Please avoid.
My ISA matured on 7/4/26. I put in a request to transfer it to another provider 10 days before maturity. It finally arrived with my new ISA provider on 20/4/26. No interest is paid to cover the interim period. At maturity they auto enrol you in a new fixed ISA. So if it's not moved within the 14 day cooling after maturity you're subject to 90 days interest to leave.
Electronic messages chasing the transfer went unanswered, so I called them twice. After lengthy waits I spoke to their customer services team. On both occasions they blamed the receiving bank for the delays.
I asked the receiving bank for screenshots of the electronic transfer system used to moved ISAs showing the timeline of events and it confirmed that UBL hadn't accepted the transfer until 16/4/26, despite having assured me this was done on 30/3/26.
Dreadful bunch of crooks.
Please never trust this awful so-called Pakistani bank with your money.
My ISA was requested by my new provider on 31 March. Did not leave my account for another 18 days!
Repeated requests from me and my new provider ignored. Wait for hours on line to CS. When they finally answer they are rude and disinterested. Then put you on hold for another quarter of an hour with no apology.
They are making so much money out of these scams as they paid me NO INTEREST ALL THAT TIME. It is deliberate theft of my money.
Financial Ombudsman is the only way go now. Disgraceful.
Had to chase them multiple times to get them to pay out a cash ISA that had matured. On the last contact with them I noticed they had changed the maturity date to be another year in the future. I have a screenshot to prove this.
Fortunately I had a printed copy of the original instructions I had given them to pay out to a nominated bank account so they then had to process it.
In total the payout took them over a week to make when it should have been done within 48 working hours.
I would NEVER trust this bank with my money ever again and will ensure that I tell anyone I know to avoid them. I feel that they simply cannot be trusted.
I’m not sure if I should report them ignoring payment instructions and changing the ISA maturity date to the FCA because if I had not been chasing them, they might have locked my funds away for another year!
Really bad experience trying to withdraw money from ISA - they reinvest your money into another fixed account with no warning, and it's a nightmare to get money transferred to a new provider. Case it still ongoing and I'm going to have to reach out to the Ombudsman to resolve. I'd save the hassle and go elsewhere.

My ISA came to maturity so I asked for it to be reinvested with interest paid monthly.
They reinvested it with interest only paid at maturity and locked the interest I already earned, blocking me from receiving it.
I want my interest earned (nearly £2,000) and their chat bot to deal with customer service is completely useless.
No maturity instructions sent for our cash ISAs and no response to secure messages sent.
Very poor customer service, agent was not sure at all where my ISA transfer had gone, took a lot of effort to get any sense from them and certainley very concerning as there was 20k on the line...

On the 10/3/26 I rang UBL asking for advice about transferring an ISA into my fixed rate ISA account... The woman I spoke to told me to go on line and open a new product???. No help no guidence, I said "I was hoping you could give me some information" to which she replied "I am giving you information... Go on the website online"!!!
I've never ever had such terrible customer service.
I'm now seriously worried that I am transferring an ISA into this bank and I wish I hadn't... The website is one of the worst banking ones I've seen, confusing, no easy obvious help or info!! There is nothing positive to say and now I'm completely worried about my money I'm investing with them... My advice to anyone would be Don't start with this bank!! Go somewhere with good customer service and help...I've now got 2 years worrying and wishing I hadn't tied up my money with them!! Confidence is the most important thing when investing your money and I have none... Only doubt and worry 🫣
