Our trip to Sri Lanka (postponed from 2020) finally took place in Feb-March this year, coinciding with the start of the war in Iran. After the 2020 cancellation we used Selective Asia for a brilliant trip to Vietnam in 2023. Based on this experience we decided to have a second attempt at visiting Sri Lanka. The process of planning the trip with tweaks along the way to suit our requirements all went smoothly and we had a wonderful holiday, full of lots of different experiences and all led by our trusty driver guide. However what made Selective Asia stand out was the support we received when 10 days before the end of our holiday, all flights via Dubai were suspended. We received prompt support from both the team in Sri Lanka and back in the UK, and quickly had a back up plan with alternative flights and an additional 6 nights hotel accommodation booked. We were very aware that many people were having to sort out their own arrangements whilst were able to relax and enjoy the last week of our holiday. In the event we actually took our original scheduled flights via Dubai, but would have equally enjoyed the extra days if we had had to stay.

These events have proved how valuable it is to use to reputable travel company to make arrangements. We have had a fabulous holiday, despite the hiccups regarding flights, and would thoroughly recommend them.

We have just returned from a family holiday to Thailand across four different locations and had an amazing time. From the first enquiry selective asia were great with suggestions of where to go/stay and do based on the brief we had given them. On the trip, all the transfers were seamless and the guides brilliant, taking all the stress and hassle away, allowing us to fully enjoy the holiday. Thank you SA.

We recently returned from a family trip to Sri Lanka organised by Selective Asia, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations.

From start to finish, everything was incredibly smooth and thoughtfully planned. The team really took the time to understand what we wanted from the trip and tailored the itinerary perfectly to suit our family. Every detail felt considered, which made the whole experience completely stress-free.

The boutique hotels they selected for us were absolutely outstanding—each one unique, beautifully designed, and perfectly located. They added a real sense of occasion to every stop on the journey.

We also had an amazing safari experience, where we were able to see incredible wildlife up close—something the whole family will remember for years. It was a real highlight of the trip.

A special mention as well to the driver organised by Selective Asia, who was extremely professional throughout. He was always punctual, courteous, and made us feel completely safe and well looked after, which made a big difference when travelling as a family.

Overall, we had a fantastic time and created some unforgettable family memories. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Selective Asia to anyone looking for a seamless, high-quality travel experience.

My family and I had an outstanding trip through Southeast Asia, travelling across Vietnam with a visit to Cambodia. The itinerary was clearly very well thought through—everything flowed effortlessly and felt tailored to what we enjoy, without ever feeling over-managed.

The guides were excellent throughout—knowledgeable, engaging, and very aware of what we needed as a family. What impressed me most was the flexibility. When we decided to change plans or do something slightly off itinerary, both the guides and the wider Selective Asia team adapted quickly and without fuss, making it all feel very easy.

The level of service from the team at Selective Asia really stood out. They were consistently responsive, organised, and clearly experienced in what they do.

A particular mention to Nick, who was exceptional. Due to unforeseen circumstances in the Middle East affecting part of our journey home, he was on the phone to us at what must have been very antisocial hours in the UK, calmly talking things through and managing to navigate our flights back. His manner was steady and reassuring throughout, which made a real difference in a potentially stressful situation.

Overall, a stunning level of service and a brilliantly executed trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Just completed a FANTASTIC trip to Sri Lanka with Selective Asia. This is not our first adventure with them and it won't be our last. From initial enquiries to booking the trip and correspondence throughout their knowledge, attitude and attention to detail is exemplary. Every journey to Asia seems to open up a new avenues for us and having Nick, Priya and Kevin and the team guide us along the way, really takes the stress out of travel allowing us to enjoy every step of the journey. A particular highlight for us was staying at the 'Mud House' an eco lodge where you really feel at one with Sri Lankas incredible nature. As ever the only regret is having to come home. Top holiday, top advice, top company. Would recommend!!

I was impessed with their web site but this is were the good ends,contacted this company to arrange a holiday through the middle east on to india, thailand and beyond spent time explaining my needs and a very poor quote was returned missing out most of my requests and needs, wasted my time ( considdering my budget was around 25k!) in my oppinion this company has poor knowledge, experience and acctually wants people whom want a standard holiday package and do not posses the skills and knowledge to arrange custom packages, there are plenty out there who do but this is not one of them!

Selective Asia helped me design and book our family trip of a lifetime to Indonesia this year. We combined a 9 day Komodo archipelago sailing adventure with the excellent Sea Trek Bali team along with exploring some of Bali's lesser visited spots like Sidemen and Nusa Ceningan. We have two teenage boys and Selective Asia took all our different needs into consideration when making recommendations and it worked seamlessly. Thank you Selective Asia!

I can't say enough good things about Selective Asia. I have used their services twice now, both extensive and lengthy trips(6 to 7 weeks each). We were always well taken care of, the local guides they used we so knowledgeable and had a genuine love for their home. The app they use gives you everything about where you are staying and doing each day, right at your fingertips. The accommodations were great, even in the middle of the Borneo jungle. I am hoping to do another trip and will definitely be contacting Selective Asia again. I trust their knowledge and they have an amazing network of contacts. Selective Asia works with you and your budget to make a trip full of sweet memories.

Three retired Canadian ladies were fortunate enough to book two incredible trips through Carl with Selective Asia. Each trip was roughly seven weeks long and impeccably planned. We had regular contact with Carl who ensured the trip satisfied each of our wishes. Every detail throughout both trips was discussed and the itinerary was clear and carefully thought out, specific to our wants and needs. The trip itself, including the guides, the translators, the cruises, the accommodation and the tours were second to none and a lifetime experience. At one point, one of my travel companions injured herself. We had constant communication with the company and modifications necessary were immediately handled professionally and compassionately. Also, I was celebrating a milestone birthday and unaware that my family wanted to create some special experiences for me. Carl was kind enough to give contact information to my daughter to organize the experiences directly allowing for a reduced cost. This was extremely thoughtful of Selective Asia and allowed my family to afford additional special experiences for my birthday. Selective Asia is also extremely conscious of our environmental footprint and ensures the trip is as eco friendly as possible while contributing to environmental causes. An enormous thank you to Selective Asia who went above and beyond our expectations! We will continue to book our adventures through this organization!

Selective Asia were very responsive to our requirements and wishes. They were great at listening to what we wanted and suggesting options to fit.

Selective Asia arranged a wonderful family holiday for us in Vietnam accompanied by three knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic tour guides. Hanoi was busy and bustling before we headed to the calm of the countryside for a few days an finally onto the beach in Da Nang. The organisation was faultless and we experienced a real taste of northern Vietnam. Can't wait to go back and visit the south!

Just got back from a fantastic trip to Vietnam with Selective Asia - my first visit to the country - and want to thank the team for putting together such a brilliant itinerary. I travelled top to bottom, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, with brilliant highlights in Mai Chau and Hoi An, and ate myself silly on fantastic food along the way!

Cambodian nightmare. We were sent to Viroths who tried to cheat me, followed by La Passion Koh Rong which was totally infested with sand flies, to the extent I nearly had to seek medical help, and finally to Kni Bang Chat in Kep which was a like living on a building site with pile drivers going 8am to5pm. Cost for the 14 days £10k +. I suggest you Select another travel agent. These people are a total LIABILITY. Offered me £100 compensation and referred me to terms and conditions. You have been warned.

Selective Asia is the best at what they do.
From start to finish they are just brilliant, and everyone you speak to has actually been where you want to go. Next stop Bali and I cannot wait!

We are on the final day of what has to be the best holiday we have ever had. Stephen at Selective Asia managed to interpret our needs perfectly and create for us an experience of a lifetime travelling through Vietnam and Cambodia. The holiday has been a hit from start to finish. To start with Stephen took on board our budget and tailors a holiday that net it perfectly. All of the hotels have been excellent. The guides in each area have been first rate and we have felt confident all the way through that Selective Asia have covered all eventualities and have been on hand to guide us through this amazing experience. We will most definitely be going back to Selective Asia to help us experience more of this wonderful continent

Trip to Vietnam in 2010 was arranged by Lionel. Probability the best holiday we've ever been on. Excellent service start to finish. Great local staff on resort especially Hanoi - Long was a superstar. The experience was 5* from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble,both at home or whilst on location. Would totally travel with Selective Asia again!

We had to cancel our June trip to Japan due to COVID19 - Andrew and several of his colleagues have been first class in their communication and trying to find various solutions. We had to wait a while due to their ticket office in India (I think!) being closed, however overall I can't fault Selective Asia's communication and efforts during what were clearly very challenging times.

Kate did a great job when we had to cancel our holiday to Indonesia due to Covid. She was always available to speak and was very flexible in finding a solution that worked best for us. We’re now looking forward to a similar trip to Vietnam early next year due to it having better weather in the Easter holidays.

Selective Asia have been great during some very challenging times. They have taken a very personal approach and kept us updated throughout for which we have been very grateful. A lot of work went into planning our holiday (this was to be our 3rd with the company) and we are looking forward to making it to the Maldives in 2021 rather than August 2020!
