Excellent service from start to finish. The problem was quickly diagnosed and they were able to resolve it straight away. The staff were very pleasant, they explained what was needed, how long it would take and when the job was done the mechanic explained exactly what he’d done and left my car ready to be driven away.

I liked that fact they managed my expectations, told me when to drop the car off and when likely it would be ready for collection.
I was unhappy with the representative trying to push me to by another tyre when the small repair was possible, this is the second times I've experienced his pushy sales approach and quite frankly, when I need to return, if he's on shift, I'll be going elsewhere or wait for someone reasonable to be working.
The first time I experienced his pitch was when my tread was 3.4mm, telling I was low and near to the advisory level and it would be worth getting 2 new tyres.
3 months later (second time and this visit) my tread is at 3.1mm (legal limit 1.6) and I have a small puncture, he's saying - your next to the advisory limit and should be getting a new tyre. In both cases this would mean 2 tyres as both fronts were the same and 1 new wouldn't make sense. So he's promoting spending £450-500 over a £38 tyre repair, then when putting air back in the tyre he made it 2.7 bar, when the sticker next to the door advises 2.2, so I have 1 at 2.2 and the other 2.7! (Over inflation wears tyres quicker, which he'll know working in the tyre industry, so this comes over as a deliberate tactic to force wear and a new tyre over customers safety, pressure difference on the front is an issue)
In addition, I previously asked him, when finished how to take the centre wheel cap off as they looked bad and needed replacing, his response was "when you buy a new tyre I'll take them off for you!" To answer the question properly would have gained integrity, but his response was unhelpful and made me distrust him. I found how to do it elsewhere and it was easy, so no need for the answer I received.
I recall a statistic: 1 in 10 complain and they typically share that bad experience with 8 other people compared to 1 in 20 good feedback and people may tell one or two. Meaning, the fact I am commenting suggest the experience is bigger but also that I am spending time feedback also suggests I'm sharing the experience with others.

Date and time agreed and Tom arrived on time. He replaced patio door handle and lock
Price was quite reasonable
He also advised about any future repairs and/or replacements

I found a screw embedded in my tyre which caused it to deflate. I called y local Selectatrye and they fixed it that day. They also checked my breaks and gave me a report on work needed. This was very helpful. I can't thank them enough for their prompt and excellent service.

I had a flat in Lidal car park rang Protyrs and reception said if I got it to them within the hour they would put 2 tyres on, gave me a quote with tyer brand and all inclusive price, as my 2 front tyres needed replacing i got them replaced at the same time, balanced tracked all done at the price i was quoted. Great service, would recommend.

I arrived early for my appointment and was dealt with asap. They gave advice on wear of tyres and appropriate inflation pressures. Reset in-car system to reflect that. Very polite staff and efficient

Protyre were able to fit a replacement of two of our tyres in at very short notice, after we punctured. We tried a garage nearer to our location, but they quoted a few days wait time. While the puncture could not be repaired, an affordable replacement was offered and swiftly fitted, with the usual great and friendly service that you get at the Grantham Protyre store. They are always our preferred choice for tyres

I have used Select-a-tyre (now Protyre) for several years when I needed new tyres for my car. My recent visit was no exception. On this occasion they diagnosed that the brakes needed urgent attention and were able to fit me in a few days later.
