Digital river hire contract agent to boost their sale review. Agent get a percentage of the sale price. Agents pays the price first. Seems a nice way to earn from us poor online workers. But in the end it just scams our money until we can't get it back at all. Thousand of savings is gone. And the recruiter or senior agents encourages us to be in debt just to get the promised percentage which ranges from 3% until it can get multiplied by "packages".

I had a ' payment / subscription ' of £79.99 attempted on my card from this company, yet have NO IDEA what it is for ?? .. no email to state a payment will be attempted nor declined? .. from the reviews here seems to be a SCAM , how do banks allow this?

Bonjour, Comme tout le monde j'ai découvert un prélèvement inconnu de la part de Digital River. Je commence un email pour obtenir le remboursement et je vais pour annuler le prélèvement automatique futur pour limiter les dégâts. C'est très simple, il suffit de cliquer sur annuler pour Digital River sur PayPal. Mais je recherche un peu mieux avant (en fait, je recherche beaucoup...) et découvre qu'il 'agit d'une licence de software récurrente chaque année (logiciel de télésurveillance cameras BlueIris.com). Donc en fait, Blueiris effectue ses prélèvements via Digital River qu'on ne connait pas et que l'on accuse de viol, prélèvements frauduleux, etc.
Probablement, enfin j'espère, tous les commentaires négatifs doivent provenir de cette raison, car PayPal n'aurait certainement pas continuer de travailler avec une telle société.

I was redirected to this website through an eBay purchase.

I purchased an item on eBay as I normally would, but realized after a little while that I never received a confirmation email from eBay, and the item was not showing up under my purchases on my eBay app. I used my PayPal to purchase the item so I checked that next and saw a change for $148 to “digital river inc” which I thought was strange. The initial purchase through eBay was for an item totally $90, but I was charged $148 without any warning beforehand. I tried to contact customer service through this digital river website, but there is no means to do so. The phone number that they provide is not in service, and when emailing it just responds with the typical automated message that leads you nowhere. More importantly, the eBay user that I purchased this through is called “saisaf_1”, and this user has reviews on their account (97.5 overall feedback perfect) so the seller seems like a genuine account.

So not only was I charged way more then I agreed to pay, but the seller has been ghosting me since purchase. This is a total scam and it leads back to this digital river inc website which has to be tied to this eBay account somehow. Please beware as this has caused my money to be tied up for days. PayPal has to go through the dispute process which takes at least 10 days, and that’s after the fact that I was completely ripped off and have more than enough proof to show it.

This has been a nightmare and this company is responsible for it. I’m just hoping I’m able to get my money back and will definitely make sure to check future eBay purchases much more carefully, if I even continue to use the app at all. This has pretty much ruined any experience or trust that I have in any seller. Avoid at all costs

This company deals with a group of shady software subscription companies that bait and switch then tell you that you have to contact one company (software company) to ask for a refund and then the software company tells you to contact this company. The software never works (you don't know that until after you buy it) then they want to charge you $30+ per month as a subscription. On top of this theyt request money from your account the day before your payment is due. They invoiced me and took money on August 7th but everything is dated August 8th. This is not the first time I've delt with this terrible company.

Paypal gives an email address to contact them. The autoreply gives a link with no way to contact them. You have to log in but I don't have an account to log in with!
Ti need to search for your order but to do that you need a number. I don't have one as it is a subscription. I've had it for years but thought I cancelled it.
But they took payment. The vendor doesn't reply. I've cancelled again. And devauthorised on paypal. Just getting nowhere.

Leider habe ich die Bewertungen erst jetzt hier gelesen sonst hätte ich die Zahlung gar nicht erst abgewickelt.
Hatte mir Bitdefender im Shop gekauft und mit Paypal gezahlt. Nach der Bestätigung von Paypal erschien eine Meldung das der Vorgang nicht abgeschlossen werden konnte. Ich soll es noch einmal probieren. Auf der Paypal Seite stand ab ganz klar das der Kauf abgeschlossen wurde, mit Transaktionsnummer. Geld war schon abgebucht. Eine Mail an den Shopbetreiber wurde lapidar beantwortet das das Geld nicht von der Kreditkarte??? abgebucht wurde. Ich soll mal aufs Konto schauen. Seltsam, hatte ich doch mit Paypal bezahlt. In der nächsten mail an den Shopbetreiber Die Transaktionsnummer von Paypal mit gesendet. Nun hieß es das der Vorgang geprüft würde was mehrere Wochen dauern kann. Habe dann das Käuferschutzprogramm von Paypal in Anspruch genommen. Mittlerweile habe ich Mails erhalten ich soll mich an Paypal wenden , dass Problem liegt dort. Werde wohl eine andere Software kaufen.

I have a recurring repayment to digital river for I don't know what I have tried to use their search which uses email address and last 4 digits of payment card but it doesn't work, this company is a ripoff

Seitdem ich letztes Jahr (11/23) sah, dass ich für 2 fast gleiche AVG-Produkte zahle, versuchte ich, 1 Pos. Online im System zu kündigen. Keine Chance, die Kündigung wurde nicht wirksam, obwohl ich so vorging, wie in den FAQ's beschrieben. Nun, im Mai 2024 erneut versucht. Ging wieder schief, weil die AVG-Handlungsanweisung nicht die beschriebene Schaltfläche „Kündigen“ ausweist, dem vorgegebenen Kündigungsmenü weitere 3-4 Stufen nachgeschaltet sind, die u.a. mit einem Mitarbeiterchat für den Vertragsfortgang sorgen sollen... Werden diese Stufen nicht vollständig durchlaufen, läuft die online ausgeführte Kündigung in’s Leere und das nicht beabsichtigte ABO ein weiteres Jahr (hier: 129,99 Euro). Auch die Rückbuchung bei der SPK bringt nichts, wenn PayPal (in meiner Abwesenheit/Urlaub) entscheidet, „der Verkäufer erhält Recht“, die Forderung erneut begleicht und so per beauftragtem Inkassounternehmen daraus dato 169 Euro werden. – Trotz des Chats blieb auch die von AVG beschriebene 6-Wochen-Frist nachträglicher Kündigungsmöglichkeit nach ABO-Beginn erfolglos. – Was soll man davon halten?

ich habe Bitdefender für 59 Euro verlängert und bekomme aus dem nichts eine Abbuchung über (ontop) von 129,99 Euro. Versehen dachte ich mir und wollte das über die "Internetseite" klären, total verschachtelt und letztendlich findet man nichts, wie man das regeln kann. Per Mail angeschrieben, nö, geht nicht, muss über die Internetseite geklärt werden, den Rest kann man sich wohl selbst denken. nie nie wieder. Habe gleich Bitdefender (obohl ich mit der Software eigentlich zufrieden bin) gekündigt, ich will mit solchen Firmen nichts zu tun haben.

BEWARE: I tried buying VMWARE Fusion through them. Paid $127 and got an email I'd get delivery within 30 minutes.

Wir vernahmen via Paypal Benachrichtigung, dass unser Sicherheits-Software-Abo verlängert wurde, ohne Nachfrage, ohne Information an uns, was wir als unfair und ärgerlich empfanden. Als wir uns wehrten, waren die Erfahrungen mit den freundlichen Mitarbeiter/-innen dieser Abteilung und die Kulanz erfreulich- sie führten zu einer Rückzahlung, wofür wir uns bedanken.
