Better never use their services. There are better software which are not as ridiculously priced. The subscription model is also a complete scam to get as much money from you as they can.
I use Fusion 360 professionally. They are becoming increasingly woke. They push constant updates with no apparent improvement and that disrupt your workflow. Would switch in a heartbeat if t... Zobacz więcej

I contacted Autodesk to renew a license…easy right? Wrong.
I contacted Autodesk to renew a license for one of our users. 6 weeks and 50 odd emails later neither of the two sales agents can confirm which payment information to use. In the most recent reply the sales agent said to ''assume its the invoice pdf''. Two conflicting PDF files were sent to me, which I sent to the agent for clarification before their response. The issue is still not resolved and the license may expire before Autodesk can confirm how they want to be paid for the software. Which means the user who works with the software cannot complete the work on their project, which means the client will be dissatisfied. Why has it taken nearly 2 full months to renew a license?
I had a very, very different experience when working with Autodesk last year before the CS was outsourced. I believe the main issue comes from the outsourced customer service support, who have little to no training or resources, in an effort to cut corners and increase their margin.
Autodesk installs malware to your PC
Do not install any Autodesk software. They come bundled with actual malware that they call "GenuineService". When you remove their useless program, their service stays and when you try to uninstall it, you are greeted with "nuh uh you can't remove this message" because it is for "your own protection".
Never in my life have I felt this much hatred for a company before. What gives you the right to hijack my system without my permission even after I tried to remove your programs from my PC? (Waiting for a response that is not "it's for your own protection").
So-called GenuineService makes frequent requests to Autodesk servers and I am confident it also shares information with those servers. One might argue that they are not sharing personal or sensitive information about my system. However, if you welcome a guest into your house and after while you express them that they should leave and they are no longer welcomed in your house, would you be happy if they showed every-once in a while, entering your home without your knowledge doing stuff you don't know and basically just being there. If you are cool with that, I cannot recommed any company to work for other than autodesk, because clearly this is their mantra. They not only purposfully install malware to your system. But, make it impossible to remove it without having advanced computer skills. Which lest be hones at least 95% of their customers do not have. And when those customers express that they don't want their software in their PCs they are belitted and told "it's for their own protection".
In order to uninstall "genuine service" you need to donwload additional tools from microsoft that are actually used to remove malware that prevents you from uninstalling it. On top of that you need to stop and delete services, remove registiry entires and dozen other files.
I uninstalled your service and I am no longer consenting to this. You have no right to do this. I will never ever install any Autodesk software ever again. I have already spoken with friends and family who use your tools and urged them to remove your software.
I downloaded ReCap Photo trial for 30…
I downloaded ReCap Photo trial for 30 days, and when I tried to use it, it won't let me upload a photo, which is the main function of this program unless I buy the Pro version. I asked for a call back from Autodesk customer support and they told me that they deeply apologize but in other words they told me that their 30 days trial of this program is worthless! I will remove all Autodesk programs from my computer, and let my IT department to scan my computer registry for any Autodesk extension after removing all programs, and if my IT will find any small extension from Autodesk, it will go to my legal department for a lawsuit! This is really unbelievable!!!
New development; After uninstalling both Autodesk programs from my computer, our IT guy found many LOCK files and TEMP file related to the latest Autodesk downloads from today's date, if you download any Autodesk program to your computer, unless you are very familiar with windows registry, Autodesk semi hidden files will stay on your computer until you will remove them. Most will not give any indications that these are Autodesk TEMP files. I have several screenshots of these files. Instead of spending time money on legal battles with this company, I will send all info to Federal authorities and media, I'm sure they will be interested! Stay a way from Autodesk!!!
Op I Jer Autodesk
Jeg har aldrig installeret deres produkter, men deres program for "Genuine Service" er stadig på min computer, som jeg så er nød til at afinstallere.
Læs titlen, Autodesk.
AutoDesk Tech Support is Absolute GARBAGE
AutoDesk software is garbage. Their software is extremely buggy. Have been trying for over a month to begin a free trial of Revit LT to no avail. Their download process is horrible but the worst issue is that there is NO customer service or tech support. Everything is done via email with days or weeks between interactions. It would be different if if their software was bullet proof but it's buggy crap so good tech support is needed but if you need tech support you're out of luck...
If I could leave 0 stars I would
If I could leave 0 stars I would! Horrific customer experience. Would never recommend.
Horrible for people learning
They've placed themselves as 'industry standard' but don't actually allow people to learn on their products unless you're already in the industry - they're helping build the endless cycle of not actually being able to get into the industry you want
Autodesk Refusing to honor my perpetual license
I purchased a perpetual license
(From Merriam Webster:perpetual
adjective
a: continuing forever : EVERLASTING
b: valid for all time a perpetual right)
They are refusing to activate my product for no apparent reason.
Arrogance beyond belief
Good product but not worth it due to Bad Support
I teach using Inventor and Revit.
Last year autodesk messed up my renewal and changed my license from a multi seat to a single licence. It took weeks to get it fixed and in the end I had to dump my software and reinstall everything on my entire classroom lab. This year On 10/11/22 I reinstated my licence. On 10/17/22 I was blocked out and was getting a pop up stating my licence was expired. After hours of dealing with Autodesk online / automated help I was able to live chat and was told there had been a problem on Autodesk's end and I would receive an Email when this was resolved. I received the email this morning (10/18/22) stating my educational access was good. When I tried to follow the instructions given for how to renew my licence (again) for the year they do not work. It is telling me I have to reinstall again. Now I am in queue for another round of live chat / nonservice.
I like autodesk products, but will no longer be suggesting them to other potential users do to the problems I have encountered getting help.
Ich mag Autodesk
Ich mag Autodesk. Die Pinsel sind nicht alle super faszinierend. Aber nachdem man sich gewöhnt, klappts auch.
So I have been a Fusion 360 subscriber…
So I have been a Fusion 360 subscriber for years, I now am retired and don't need a full subscription of 360, a month ago I call Autodesk and ask how do I "Downgrade" they simply said let your current subscription expire and try downloading the "personal/home" version. So I did just that, well now I am locked out, and all my data is "READ ONLY"
WTH !!!!!
I now have tried to get a phone number or talk to someone at Autodesk to straighten this out, EVERYTHING IS ONLINE !!!!!
what a complete joke, is this the business model of their future???? who's the Genius behind this ???
Because your going to lose your customer base in a heartbeat ...
Customer service is absolutely no help…
Customer service is absolutely no help at all. I have been trying to reduce my seats for weeks, and each time I receive an error. I put in a ticket a couple of weeks ago, and noone has answered yet. Today was my renewal date, and rather than be charged 17k for more seats that I need, I turned off the auto renew. I still need 4 seats, so I put in another ticket to try to get this fixed. I had a chat open, and the rep asked for a screenshot. The screenshot would not go through so I sent it in email. After 30 mins the guy tells me to call sales and gives me a number. I called the number- that guy said he couldnt help me, and transfered me. After 18 minutes on hold, I reached a rep who told me I couldnt reduce the seats because my subscription had expired.....I said, it expires TODAY which is why I am taking the time to try to get this fixed- I have been trying for weeks. He tells me " oh, well, we are working on your ticket, we will keep you updated"- ABSOLUTLEY NO HELP... My subscription expires today, so I either have to turn on auto renew and pay 10k more than I need, or, I lose my discount and have to start all over tomorrow with setting up my employees autocad accounts. RIDICULOUS!!!

Latest versions more broken than the old ones
Update 2024-04-02
They just released the 2025 versions and yet again they managed to break critical stuff making it impossible to upgrade. I am seriously considering looking into alternative softwares as paying 3000€ annually for a product that keeps being broken is just not worth it, then I'd rather struggle with learning new tools altogether. If I could I would have just bought a perpetual license of Motionbuilder 2018 since that's what I've been using for the past years due to issues in 2019-2025 but they don't offer that.
I do appreciate that Autodesk did fix some of my bugs that I filed in march 2023 but I shouldn't have to wait for a whole year for a new version for it to get fixed. I don't think they care at all about motionbuilder at this point as the updates that comes are very minor and often has more than less issues.
--------- Old review with three stars ----------
I've been using Autodesk products around twenty years now starting in 3DS Max then going over to Maya when I went to school and slowly gone 100% into Motionbuilder for the past fifteen years in my professional career as an animator.
I can only speak for Motionbuilder since that's where all of my time lies and every new release barely has any new major feature but is always broken in one way or another. They rarely make patches, occasionally there is a tiny update that does nothing to fix whatever issue they caused to begin with so it doesn't really help. I almost feel as if they are killing off Motionbuilder which would be sad as it's the only decent program out there for motion capture editing with takes/easy pose matching for humanoids.
Considering the Autodesk suit cost 3200€ in Sweden (or 2800€ for Motionbuilder only) you'd expect the programs to get better, not worse. At work I use a five year old version but that's been removed from their website now so we'll see how long I can keep using that.
I really, really, really hope they step up their game with the next releases for Motionbuilder and doesn't kill it off cause it is really good in the core.
Used this software for the last 20…
Used this software for the last 20 years, but it has steadily been going downhill in the last 2 years. Will be requesting a refund and look at other options.
Crashes daily, online documentation doesn't fix issues, customer service takes weeks to respond and only interested in closing tickets not fixing issues.
Gone completely downhill
Gone completely downhill. Scam company that will send you spam marketing emails to you despite never signing on with them. To top it off there is NO way to unsubscribe from their marketing crap. Stay far away from these scammers unless you plan to take legal action like I am

Good products
Good products, but the Customer service department is abyssmal. Hardly any englishcomprehension. I have spent a week and over 20 emails, calls and chats to get my issue resolved to no avail.
Fusion360 was a good bit of software
Fusion360 was a good bit of software. I've been using it for over a year to run my CNC machine. This was installed and setup on the recommendation of an external CNC engineer. For the last year I have quickly and easily imported the designs from solidworks and within 5 to 10 minutes setting the cutting program I require. However since late last week they have updated the post process which has thrown up warning symbols. I booked a scheduled call to speak to technical support and when they called they told me they can't help as it is beyond their technical support but I should post on the forum. I did this although I am not a big fan of posting my problems online. I get 2 responses from the fusion team one stating it's not that difficult but with no help or advise and the other which states I should sit down and read the forum and video. Neither of these were helpful or have allowed me to continue using my CNC so I am now 2 days behind on work. I also use solidworks and have been for 8 years and the difference in help is stunning, Solidworks you call up speak to someone they don't treat you like an idiot will even log on to your PC and talk the issue through with you. You come off the telephone understanding the issue and have gained to your knowledge. Fusion360 if you can speak to someone they can't help. When you write something on the forum some smartarse give you a stupid answer which makes you feel like an idiot and angry! You feel you have wasted your time. This really is a program for a student or hobbyist that is happy to sit in their bedroom watching hours of video and reading forums. For business, the customer service and technical support is a waste of time it doesn't exist. My CNC machine is now down for 2 days so I am looking for new software I can rely on and will support me if they make changes not laugh at my expense.
