Sold items. Delivery took ages. Then we're not picked up according to vinted. Over a month has passed and I have sent items I have not been paid for and now today I have been advised the transaction has been suspended whatever that means. Would never use the app again.

Made to lie the cost of returning an item that was falsely advertised, which is illegal under consumer law in U.K, Ireland and E.U.
My money was taken over one month ago. On recommendation from support, I sent the item back to the seller through registered post at nearly 50% the cost of the item, only for support to then tell me after showing them proof of delivery that they do not acknowledge the proof and believe its still in transit.
Customer support are an absolute disgrace. As soon as you present them with anything they find difficult to explain they either stop responding or send automated responses and close the chat.

As someone who has both purchased and sold from Vinted multiple times items ranging from €2 to +€200, avoid! The issues I’ve had are numerous and at this point they massively outweigh any positives and benefits of an app like this. Vinted themselves take very little responsibility and interest when something goes wrong and getting refunds for lost packages, broken items etc borders on impossible with how difficult they’ve made it. I’m not sure how they’re allowed to operate anywhere with the kind of practices they have.

I brought a pair of new 'Dr martens' which were stated as real, however found out at the Dr marten shop they were counterfeit but because the 48 hours to report an issue had passed vinted gave me no protection and now am stuck with these fake Dr martens as a present for someone, it's illegal to sell counterfeit items so I'm not sure how vinted can get away with it and not offer a refund, you have no consumer rights that would exist on eBay buying from vinted.
Customer service is awful
Vinteds customer service is awful. I sent an item to France in September. It was not collected and shipped back to Ireland only to then be sent back to france. I contacted vinted numerous times. They kept telling me to get back to them after a certain date which they kept extending. They then said I never collected the item when it landed in ireland. It was not available for me to collect. They also said I did not contact them in time which was not true. They repeatedly responded to my queries with pre written responses. Eventually after a lengthy period of back and forth messaging with customer service, I contact Vinted legal. They eventually decided to refund me the price of the item to which they claimed was a gesture of goodwill. I had followed all procedures and the item was lost in transit but vinted refused to accept any responsibility for the issue and tried repeatedly to lay the blame on me. While there is buyer protection, there is no such option for sellers.

Fuldstændig uacceptabel og rystende dårlig platform. Vinted tillader salg af fake varer og vælger bevidst at beskytte sælgere, der snyder, i stedet for deres kunder. Det er dybt useriøst og direkte ansvarsløst.
Jeg har modtaget en åbenlys fake jakke (kopivare – ulovligt i Danmark), sendt den retur, og sælgeren har modtaget varen. Alligevel nægter Vinted at tilbagebetale mine penge. Det er helt absurd.
I praksis betyder det, at en sælger kan begå ulovligheder, få varen retur OG beholde pengene, mens køberen står tilbage uden vare og uden penge. Det er ikke kundeservice – det er systematisk svigt.
Jeg har mistet 2.100 kr., og Vinted har mistet al troværdighed. Jeg vil på ingen måde anbefale denne platform til nogen. Hvis du handler her, risikerer du at blive snydt – og Vinted vil ikke hjælpe dig.

Vinted is fine until you have a problem and then the customer service is beyond dire. I am waiting for a refund on a coat that I returned over a month ago. I sent it recorded and had a message to say it had been delivered to the address provided and yet I am still waiting. Truly appalling.

Mon expérience avec le service client de Vinted a été extrêmement décevante et frustrante.
J’ai respecté scrupuleusement les consignes d’emballage de Vinted. Le colis était protégé avec du papier bulle, correctement fermé et clairement identifié comme fragile. Le vendeur (acheteur) a lui-même confirmé par écrit dans la conversation que l’article était soigneusement emballé, et a transmis des photos montrant la protection utilisée.
Malgré cela, le service client de Vinted a conclu que le dommage était dû à un « emballage insuffisant », sans jamais expliquer sur quels éléments concrets cette conclusion reposait, ni ce qui aurait été considéré comme un emballage « suffisant » selon leurs propres règles.
À plusieurs reprises, j’ai demandé des précisions claires : comment cette décision a-t-elle été prise ? Sur quelle base ? Quels sont les standards exacts de Vinted ? Mes questions sont restées sans réponse. J’ai uniquement reçu des messages vagues et standardisés, évitant systématiquement le fond du problème.
Ce manque de transparence est inquiétant. On a le sentiment que les décisions sont prises de manière unilatérale, sans analyse sérieuse des preuves fournies, et sans possibilité réelle de contestation pour les vendeurs.
En tant que vendeur, même en respectant toutes les consignes et en disposant de preuves, vous pouvez être désavantagé sans justification claire. Cette expérience m’a fait perdre confiance dans la plateforme.
Je ne recommande pas Vinted aux vendeurs, en particulier pour des articles fragiles ou de valeur, tant que leur service client restera aussi opaque et peu responsable.

I sold a tracksuit on this website in October and now it’s December . I sent it to the girl I told her there was a fault in it but it appeared there was more. Which I don’t understand how because I had a picture before I sent it and it looked great . The lady cancelled the order when it came but never sent it back. She took my money and my tracksuit . I’m sharing my personal experience with Vinted to warn other sellers.
I sold an item, provided proof that it was collected, yet my funds were withheld. Vinted then awarded the buyer the funds, despite me providing proof that the item had been collected from the buyers selected collection point. The buyer deleted their account once I asked her to go back to the store to review CCTV of the person collecting the parcel, which I informed Vinted about before they awarded the seller my funds. Vinted stopped responding to me despite evidence being provided.
Sellers should be aware of how disputes are handled and consider the risks.
“Buyer Proection” not fit for purchase
Be very careful with this company - you are made to feel that you have a safety net with buyer protection - the reality is that when things go wrong there is no recourse to a refund. The item I recently purchased arrived broken and useless and the seller has requested return shipping knowing that the cost will be more than the item is worth. Vinted’ “insurance” doesn’t cover it either. So I’ve lost my money and Vinted will release funds to the seller automatically in 5 days.
BEWARE OF VINTED PARCELSHOP SCAMS
Vinted allowing scams! So my buyer claimed that her Evri parcel wasn’t at the post office (tracking stated that it was). So this went on for 3-4 weeks so she then contacted Vinted who refunded her. Then I got a notification that the parcel has been collected by her. I’ve contacted Vinted multiple times and get the same generic reply. Basically as the items been collected there’s nothing they can do. So I’m left without the item or a refund whilst the buyer has the item and a refund! It now of course is too late to leave her a review too so she has 5 star rating on there. I think this can only happen at parcel shops because the Inpost lockers seem to return items if they’re not collected within a few days.

Vinted hacked my account and steal my money
I got hacked, possibly by Vinted.
I got logged out from my account after a £22 refund from a scammer seller that tried to sell me a counterfeit item. I could not log in for two days.
When I finally logged back in all my listings were wiped off, all my bought items disappeared, all my save money from sells were lost. I don’t know how somebody can steal my account as I have security codes that i receive on my email, unless someone from Vinted done that to steal my money.
Please AVOID THIS PLATFORM. SCAMERS SCAMERS SCAMERS
Seller protection is meaningless, even after Vinted verification
I followed Vinted’s process exactly and still lost money due to poor seller protection and inconsistent decision-making.
I sold an item which was sent through Vinted’s verification hub, exactly as instructed. The item passed verification and was confirmed to be in the condition it was sold. I have clear photographic evidence of the item’s condition before shipping.
After the buyer received the item, they took over 24 hours to raise an issue and repeatedly changed their explanation of what was supposedly wrong with it. During this time, the item was returned stained, something that was not present prior to sale and which significantly reduced its value.
Despite:
• the item passing Vinted’s own verification process
• clear before-and-after photographic evidence
• inconsistencies in the buyer’s claims
the return was still approved, and I was told my evidence was “not sufficient,” with no clear explanation of what seller protection actually applies in practice.
As a result, I am left with a damaged, devalued item through no fault of my own, despite fully complying with Vinted’s rules and using their verification service.
This experience has made it very clear that:
• verification does not protect sellers
• buyer claims are prioritised even when inconsistent
• sellers bear the financial loss even when buyers damage items
I will not be selling high-value items on Vinted again, and I strongly caution other sellers to understand that passing verification does not mean you are protected.
