iPhone 15 Trade-In - Damaged After Arrival

Sent in my iPhone 15 in excellent condition - I have timestamped photos showing a scratch-free screen. Company reduced the offer by £90 citing “scratches” that did not exist when shipped.

Upon return, the phone now has those scratches. When I challenged it, they pointed to their own internal video of the unboxing, but of course, there’s no way to verify whether that was the first time it was opened, or if damage happened off-camera.

The response was dismissive. When I said I’d post a review, they said “Go for it.” So here it is.

If you're sending in a device, document everything, and manage your expectations. You're not dealing with a transparent process.

EDITED the original as I warned them. The device I sent had a screen protector, I have several other images that I did not share with Tech Tiger but I will share elsewhere that clearly shows a Screen protector on the phone, this screen protector did have markings on it - albeit in different positions to the scratches that Tiger Tech made when they had my phone in their possession. Steer clear of this organization is my advice they are not trustworthy

Also note, when they say they adjusted the brightness on my photo they clearly photoshopped the original I sent as the reflections are in a different position to the original. Sound fair and transparent? Nope

Sold me a faulty iPhone 14 on Amazon which I paid £300 for. Supposedly in “Excellent condition” except the part where it was scratched along the edges, overheated during the iOS set up and constantly restarted itself.

When I finally got through the setup, I found the device had a battery health of 84%. Disgraceful and NOT an “excellent” condition phone

I was offered £187 for my Macbook Air through Back Market. The Macbook was a bit old but in very good condition. I got a counter-offer of £60 and was told that the laptop was not turning on. It is hard to imagine how a laptop on which I was running my own business a day ago would suddenly go bust, especially given that it was wrapped in an original Macbook box and bubble wrap.

I asked for the laptop to be returned as I did not believe them. The laptop came back not functioning (which would have had to be the case as they had shared a video with me of it not turning on to be able to offer the £60). What's even better is that they did not bother to return the charger I had shipped to them alongside the laptop.

Disgrace of an experience.

Just sold my one year old fold 6. Got the best price offered amongst 7-8 quotes I got online. Dispatched the device yesterday and got money in my bank today.. Amazing service.

Second time I have sold to these guys. Previously sold S24 Ultra. I knew both items were immaculate and Tech Tiger recognised this on both occasions and paid me the full amount each time. I won’t use anyone else now after this type of service. I am considering a 25 Ultra soon and may even purchase a used one here as I know it will be as described. Thanks guys.

Amazing service

They quoted me an amount and gave me that amount, within the same day of receiving my device. Good company and good service. I had previously sent the phone to smartcellular and they downgraded the phone by 400 for a small mark on the side because of the phone case. A mark I was able to wipe off! Use tech tiger, these other companies are just scams.

Should have read the reviews on this company before accepting a quote from them for my MacBook Air on Back Market. Reluctantly accepted an offer of £417 to begin with because I could not be bothered with the extra faff of selling elsewhere. This company then has the audacity to lower the offer to £80 upon receipt, which I rejected of course. Apparently the MacBook had a screen burn, much like all of the 1 star reviews on Trustpilot for them. They stuck an arrow sticker on the screen and have since tried to convince me of this so-called screen burn, which in fact doesn't exist. It will be interesting to see, when my laptop is returned, whether they have changed the screen to a defective one or damaged it because the potential cost of litigation will be far greater than what they initially offered me. I'm grateful to have seen these reviews now as it gives me reiteration that their reasoning for lowering payments offered appear to be made up entirely. Apparently, consumers aren't tech savvy enough and should be accepting these pathetic offers.
