Anna and Jeevon were THE BEST! Everything was super quick, they were super nice and personable and made sure they took care of us. ONLY booking right car when I visit the island from now on!!

DO NOT RENT HERE…I had a very disappointing experience renting a car from Right Cars.
When I returned the vehicle after a week long rental, I was informed that there was a small scratch, approximately half an inch in size, and was told the vehicle would need to be taken to a repair shop. The car had no dents, no signs of an accident, and absolutely no damage that would indicate any significant impact occurred during my rental period.
What made the situation even more uncomfortable was my interaction with the rental representative. During the rental process, he repeatedly made personal advances toward me, gave me his phone number, and appeared upset when I did not contact him. This behavior was unprofessional and created an uncomfortable environment.
Driving on the island naturally exposes rental vehicles to normal wear and tear. Even visiting popular destinations such as Mullet Bay Beach can involve rough roads and parking areas. Minor cosmetic marks can occur despite a driver's best efforts, especially during a week-long rental. Rental companies should distinguish between normal wear and tear and actual damage.
My experience left me feeling that the scratch issue was handled unfairly and that the company was overly focused on finding reasons to charge customers for minor issues. Many travelers choose smaller rental companies because their rates are often lower than larger companies such as Hertz. However, my experience left me with the impression that some of those savings may be offset by aggressive damage claims for what appears to be normal wear and tear.
To make matters worse, the company charged my credit card $195 without contacting me beforehand to discuss a repair charge or provide any documentation. I will requested an itemized receipt, photographs of the alleged and proof that the repair was actually completed. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect transparency and supporting documentation before being charged for damages.
I strongly encourage future renters to thoroughly document the vehicle's condition with detailed photos and videos both before and after the rental period. Based on my experience, I would recommend considering other rental companies before choosing Right Cars.

Terrible service! I would never rent from this company in Sint Maarten again and would not recommend for anyone to rent a car from them. The owner Jerry stopped us on the street on Sunday Oct. 20th saying he needed business. I ended up renting through Priceline and the rental car came from his company. He whined saying he would only make $80 dollars since I didn’t rent the car directly through him. When we left with the car I told my friend I had a feeling he would try to pin something on me when we brought the car back. He rented me a car that was not in the best shape as far as looks. It was pretty banged up. I’m sure he picked out the worse looking car he had because again I rented through Priceline and not him. I was all about saving myself money, not making him money. Well, guess what. I turned the car in today 9 days later and Jerry the unprofessional owner of Right Car finds a “New Scratch” on the car that he wants to hold me accountable for. Remember it was a banged up car he rented me. I never in the 9 days of having the car had any accidents but people in Sint Maarten do obviously drive a little crazy by the looks of the car I rented along with others cars we saw. Maybe someone bumped it at the hotel or maybe Jerry the owner wanted to make up for what he didn’t make off of renting me a car directly and wanted to say there was a new mark on the car. I will contact Priceline to see if they can remove Right Car as one of their car rental companies. Definitely not a professional car rental company.

Rented a car online in March and came to pick it up March 24th, returning 30th. Car was absolutely disaster, attached on every side, non working doors & windows, non working airbags with dashboard lights blink like Christmas tree. Front and rear bumpers damaged. Inside of the car roof lighting hanging. Roof top antenna missing, with just wires hanging. Basically this rental place was worse case scenario coming true.

Update: called corporate and gave all details. So far no action

We were greeted with a shuttle ride from the airport to the main office where we our rental car. Unfortunately and fortunately, the small car I reserved was not available; however, I was given an upgrade (Nissan Rogue) at no extra cost. The office rep informed us about the offline GPS maps to navigate the island.

The people were nice and efficient. I liked my little car perfect for Island driving

The employee who worked with us was very, very nice. Unfortunately, we returned the first car he gave after driving for approximately ten minutes because I had to depress the brakes too much; they felt like they needed to be replaced. And the car made so many noises that it worried my family of four. The exterior had a lot of damage as well. The second car we drove wasn’t much better. Lots of squeaks. Exterior damage. And NO SEATBELTS in the back! But my children didn’t say anything about that until we had reached the hotel so I left it alone. We could have exchanged the car the next day for what the employee told us would have been a new car but we were at the beach having fun so we kept the car. That’s on me. Both cars were Nissan Versas and were by far the worst cars I’ve ever driven in my life.

Our experience was excellent. Once we landed, the company had a shuttle ready to take us to the rental service. From there, Jevon was very helpful in making sure that our experience was smooth. He explained all the documents and provided us with time to check the vehicle. When we dropped it off, the process was much smoother than anticipated. We would highly recommend using their services.

This is a budget friendly car rental. We had a car that looked pretty beat up but did the job.

We were a bit surprised that the rental location was off the airport property and it took about 15 minutes for the Right Cars van to pick us up. They only had three cars to choose from, two were Nissan Versa and they were older models. Still the car worked very well and was a good size vehicle for the island roads. The Versa was very fuel efficient. When we came back to drop the car off they drove us to the airport right away using the same car. Although this was not a big car rental company they were a very good value for the money. Which was about half the cost of Hertz for the 9 days we rented. I’d use Right Cars again the next time we’re in Sint Maarten.

No complaints about the service. Excellent and responsive. Vehicles are a little rough but they are quick and responsive to fix whatever. We had a trunk that would not latch (because of previous damage). They swapped out the car immediately. Next car had a tire that was super bad and did have a flat then when added air it blew out. Then the spare didn’t have air so they wasn’t fun. But again they immediately sent someone out to change out the tire and the spare. Check in and out was easy and a breeze. I’d do this again for sure. Price was reflective of the lesser quality car.

Very easy booking and the company was waiting for us at the airport. Took just 2 minutes to get our car. Car was clean and ran great. Workers were very professional and the price was great!

Shuttle was waiting for us when we arrived and picking up and returning the car went quickly and smoothly. We would definitely recommend.

The bad experience began at the airport. The van that picked us up was dirty and the seatbelts didn’t work. And when it came to get out the handle was broken on the door so I had to slide across and exit the other side of the van. The employee that met us at their location gave the impression that we were bothering him. He mumbled and talked very soft and made it very hard to understand him. He quickly ran through the paperwork before we ever saw or inspected the car. We reserved a Chevy Spark and there was a nice clean one just outside that I had briefly looked over before walking in. After signing all the paperwork and paying he went outside. We followed. I have to say this was so frustrating because he would hardly talk or communicate. He barely said anything. It was so confusing. Outside the clean car was gone and we were pointed to the car we would use. An old Nissan that was beat up. The tires on one side were scraped and rims ripped up and some scrapes on the bumper. I took a couple pictures but I missed the rim damage. I saw the employee taking a video so I hoped that would show anything I missed. I was in such shock from this experience it took me a bit to see all the other problems. One side mirror didn’t work, one sun visor wouldn’t stay up, the steering wheel was coming apart and I had to constantly wipe foam pieces off my hands, and the doors didn’t seem to shut properly. As soon as we brought it back a different employee began to blame us for all the damage. I tried to find my pictures and said they took a video. After some time they couldn’t find the video and reluctantly they let us go. I keep checking our account because I am not confident they will not try and come after us. This was a horrible experience. I felt like they didn’t want our business and then after the fact blame us for the horrible shape of this car.

Very helpful and systematic company. Easy check in and check out. Lost a key and they still worked with me until I found it again.
