Resin Drives promised the world and delivered precisely nothing. They kept delaying the start date on my work then rang to say they have gone out of business. When I contacted my bank to try to get my deposit back, they informed me that I was outside the statutory 120 days for claiming. Obviously Resin Drives had carefully calculated this in delaying the work I'd paid a deposit for in good faith. In common with a lot of people I'm sure, I really can't afford to lose this money and it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth.

I did the usual search for pricing and these guys were most competitive by a good margin. Great service and delivery was quick even considering I’m in Scotland.

Strange that ResinDrives continue to post FAKE reviews - I thought they'd gone out of business! Anyway, its clear looking at the reviews ie the number of reviews the person posting has made on Trustpilot (usually 1-4) and the volumes of 5 star reviews made within, say the last 5 days) that ResinDrives, whatever their plans for the future continue to fly close to the wind!

I've reviewed a fair number of things over the years on Trustpilot, to try and help people, but a failure to act here, suggests I'm wasting my time.

It is the best company for decoration, I love that they take care of the environment and the employees are very professional, very detailed, without a doubt and without fear of making a mistake, I affirm that it is the best team.

Just found out they have gone under, been trying for 11 months to get repairs carried out.

A bunch of cowboys, still offering appointments for quotes knowing they have gone into liquidation. My sister has lost her £700 deposit & was spun a sob story only for me to ring them & book an appointment. I sincerely hope they get what they deserve & innocent people get their money back

We have also lost a lot of money to this company, the company was already experiencing financial problems when we signed the contract back in September, of course the pleasant chatty salesman wasn’t going to share that information! Now I realise why they wouldn’t take credit card payments and insisted on cheque / cash deposits, to protect themselves with no thought of the customers rights!!
After several excuses, and a final contrite telephone call mid December we knew we were never going to get the work done. The company accounts for 2018 make interesting reading. I just hope that somehow it becomes public knowledge that the owner/s had already started another company before they applied for the CVA!! We are now so paranoid about tradesmen, that we won’t commit to anything without double checking everything... Now just waiting to hear from the administrators, but not holding our breath!!!

They are clearly a bunch of crooks! I'm out by £1570 and despite many attempts to contact them with no joy, and them suddenly going bust in December with many peoples money in their bank, I have been made aware that they are now starting up other company's under the names Resin Bound Surfaces, Polybound and Resin Bound Drives. I've my solicitor onto them, however, my recorded delivery 14 day notice of resolution or face action letter was returned stating "no such address", even though this is the address on their website! I am writing to Watchdog, Rogue Traders etc., however, if anyone wishes to reach me to discuss teaming up on a law suit, please feel free. I'm absolutely sick of cowboys like this! They've even had the cheek to post false reviews to try to drown out our many unhappy ones. Check out the happy reviews below and see they were all posted on the same day - you couldn't make this up could you!

This company went into liquidation 24th Dec and are no longer trading. If I could put no stars I would. Do Not Use we paid £3000 deposit end of Oct not sure if we will ever see this money again.

Resin drives seems to have gone under and taken a lot of people's money with them , does anyone know who the receivers might be , Is there anyone I can get our deposit from. Any help anyone might be able to give would be much appreciated , the bunch of thieving Gits.

We have been dealing with this company since June last year & eventually got the preparation work completed. We had 3 different dates for laying the resin, but no-one turned up & we were not contacted. It has been difficult contacting them throughout & an unpleasant experience altogether.
BUT BEWARE we have recently been contacted by a firm called Resin Bound offering to finish the job (in a fortnight), but requiring a higher price than it would have cost us at Resin Drives.
So far we have spoken to 2 staff at Resin Bound who were employed by Resin Drives. What does this suggest?
We have now decided to have our drive tarmacked by a firm local to us, though of course we will be loosing out financially.

This company went out of business on 20th December. Just spoke to John at Resin Drives on their 0800 number. He sounded surprised we got through. We have been waiting since July for our installation. They took the deposit and since then it has been incredibly difficult to contact them for an installation date. We eventually were told they have been so busy they can’t do it until 13th January. Well that’s not going to happen now. He said we should get a letter from their solicitor. I don’t hold out much hope. Any ideas?

Looks like this company has now closed permanently. None of the phone numbers are live and won't connect. So I think I will now never see my £4000 deposit I have been desperately trying to get refunded. They didn't respond to any emails or answer and phone calls. They even tried scam reviews from people all over the world in the hope of attracting new customers. Carwyn Richards you are a con artist and I hope you are never able to run another company.

Where do I start? We agreed a contract for a VERY large drive and courtyard outside our barn, taken in by the pictures and reviews. It wasn't cheap (about £15k) but we thought it would be worth it. The job didn't go smoothly, they cut through electic cables in the ground during the preparation, and after finishing we were left with what can only be called a "stripe" effect across the courtyard. We were told that this was normal but that it would fade. I held back a little of the payment as I was unhappy, it didn't look like the job in the pictures and so I asked them to follow up. They sent a "surveyor" who said that they could spray a coating on it, but he wasn't at all convincing. When I pointed out how uneven the driveway was when shining car headlights across it, which seemed to contribute to the stripes, he said that it was impossible to make it flat and left. We heard nothing from them following this, they did ask for the remaining payment but I told them that I wanted it remedied first, and after this they refused to return calls or e-mails. I think they just cut and run. Now, three years on, the driveway has faded (so much for UV stable resin!!), it is filthy and covered in moss, and I think we are going to have to have it all taken up and replaced. In all it has been a complete waste of money. And suffice to say that I won't be asking this lot back to do it the second time around... I am really not impressed.

Like other reviews below, I can confirm the appalling customer service at this company. They NEVER answer the phone and never return emails. Perhaps if they spent their time answering emails or phone calls rather than generating fictitious trustpilot reviews, they would actually be able to generate genuine satisfied customers. As for yesterday’s flurry of five star posts, these are not genuine, they are all generated from overseas accounts who have consistently reviewed the same companies. Don’t use these guys. I’d give more specific details about quite how bad the experience has been, but I live in hope that someone from the company may actually get in contact to refund me the thousands of pounds of my money that they have, for the resin drive that I don’t have!

Unfortunately for resindrives they have probably screwed the wrong person, the fake reviews yesterday have spurred me into action. I’d be happy to hear from other resindrives.co.uk customers who are considering legal action, maybe there’s strength in numbers? Let’s get an idea of how much money these cowboys have pocketed and really make some noise! Okay, so they took my deposit of £1575 eight weeks ago and then haven’t bothered to contact me since! When I called and texted them for an update on when my drive would be installed, none of the numbers worked except the sales number. A sheepish chap took the call and said they’d entered into a CVA, which I found out was in August, prior to my quote and subsequently taking my money. Needless to say I’ve requested my money back but have no confidence I will see it as I’ve received no acknowledgment of my email request! I will be pursuing through the courts as I hate injustice and don’t care what it costs me. Beware folks as these people are a complete shower!
