I went into Oxfam on 17/5 on Oldham Street and was served by Bassell who was very professional, polite, patient and even carried my bags out to The Taxi pick up point. He is a credit to Oxfam.

Disgusting what Oxfam has became
Disgusting what Oxfam has became, prices are ridiculous and i often see prices for second hand items that are more expensive than the item costs new! Yes you read that correct! The online shop is full of fakes for instance Arctyrx Jackets that are so fake its laughable .. £150, i remember when Charity was a two way thing, people in better circumstances would donate things and people in less better circumstances could go and perhaps grab something half decent for themselves or their children, now a days its a Charity shop because you give them donations and thats it, what about the single mother thats struggling Oxfam? What about the pensioner thats struggling? Oxfam’s disgusting

Oxfam shop online is full of fake…
Oxfam shop online is full of fake items. They do not authenticate items that are donated, if they did it would help sell genuine items for charity but they do not. Some items I think are fine but they have no knowledge to sell designer so it shouldn't be allowed. I have tried contacting them about fakes but their system does not allow photos to be emailed to show why some of the stock is fake, I've had a bounce back to my first email. Have emailed just with text and hope to get a reply. I've found nearly £2,000 worth of items being sold that are all fake. Currently there is a fake Loewe Puzzle they want £1,200 that can be found on DHGate. There is a fake LV wallet they want £1000 for. Lastly, based on what I've only looked at today there is a flap Mulberry clutch bag that is the worst fake I've seen and they want £280 for it.... it's so bad!!!
Volunteer thanks
Visited Warwick shop recently to be greeted and helped by a lovely new lady volunteer to the mix, who on several visits has made our shopping experience really pleasurable. Friendly, engaging and with polite customer service to everyone throughout, we felt this was a worthwhile acknowledgement to say thanks for your time.
Expensive vintage boutique pretending to be a charity shop
You have become an expensive vintage boutique under the guise of operating as a charity. Everything that you get, you get for free but prices wow.
It’s much better to support a local charity with no overpaid C-level employees. CEO is getting around 133-140k and most likely a volunteer is going to reply to this.
The pricing has gone insane. You claim they have guidance to price items up but what happens in reality is they look at the first price that comes on google search and base it off that. You will go bust at this rate! It’s not even based off sold prices.
Eg. Mortal kombat deadly alliance ps2 game priced at £15. Cex sells this for £6,ebay sold prices around 4-6 but the first search on google shows a copy for 15.99 and obviously price was based on that .
All I have to say is good luck! All of you will lose your jobs sooner than later at this rate.
Horrible one in Whitehaven
Horrible one in Whitehaven, I’ve never felt as unwelcome in a shop ever before. They are a horrible organisation now, I used to always donate stuff to charity shops, not now. I’d rather destroy stuff than feed these corrupt organisations who stoop to emotional blackmail to get rich.

Oxfam’s attitude to my brother’s Will
I am writing this review of Oxfam’s attitude to my brother’s Will (during the probate process) that donated very substantial sums to a number of charities including Oxfam. The mistake my brother made was to NOT get his Will property checked before he died. (His use of percentages rather than actual numbers in terms of donation amounts was the key problem.) However, the attitude of the Oxfam solicitors was unacceptable and without any compromise, in my opinion. Moreover, while the wider number of beneficiary charities accepted the will, Oxfam contacted all of them and changed their minds. I see this as an unnecessary Legal War if only some compromise could have been put forward and, in respect for the gratitude of my brother and expectations of his family. They could have offered a reasonable solution upfront to save on time and what becomes essentially “veiled threats”. Oxfam’s solicitors did not show any compassion, empathy or thought for our family through the process, and now the probate process has reached a year and a half in duration, and is still not complete. I understand that charities are struggling and Oxfam has lost 40% of its donations, however, in a world of corporate domination and monopolies, I feel it is the ordinary people trying to do the right thing and give back that lose out, while the solicitors carry out these legal games. We were told during our probate process that some charity solicitors are now very litigious. So my words of warning to those making their Wills is this: 1. Make sure you have your Will checked and do not use percentages! 2. It is probably best to have your charity of choice help you write your Will. Steve Morter

The OxFam charity store in Chelmsford…
The OxFam charity store in Chelmsford is outrageously overpriced, leaving many deeply frustrated and disillusioned. While the organization pretends to support those in need, the exorbitant compensation for its CEO and paid employees raises serious eyebrows. How dare they exploit vulnerable shoppers by charging ridiculous prices for donated items that were intended to assist the impoverished in Gaza and elsewhere? So they claim..This situation starkly highlights the alarming lack of transparency within charity organizations, especially regarding their financial practices. It’s infuriating that instead of genuinely helping those in need shopping in charity shops, they seem more focused on lining the pockets of executives and staff. The fact that clothing and shoes in certain charity shops are selling for more than new items in retail stores is just plain wrong! Organizations like Oxfam, Cancer charity shops, and the British Heart Foundation have raked in profits at the expense of those they claim to support, The poor people in the UK fostering an unsettling atmosphere. It is absolutely essential for consumers to demand greater accountability in the charitable sector—because this current state of affairs is nothing short of disheartening scam.

I find I’m insulted by Oxfam
I find I’m insulted by Oxfam. I ask them before I drop things off if they can use them then they take them and lie to me. I dropped expensive computer books off and the yes we take them attitude only to find they ditched them. Still current books and not cheap. Could have taken them elsewhere. Done the same with other books I gave them. Yes I gave them numerous chances. Also the records they take are mostly scratched and useless but they don’t get rid of them but try to sell them on. Double standards. Cashing in on the new record craze. I wouldn’t try and sell any of the records they sell at all let alone for at least £3. This is going on in numerous shops. Take your stuff elsewhere. I know there’s wastage but I ask do you take them and they lie. Awful, especially when you make an effort.

Oxfam Bookstore Victoria: Unique Little Place
Regularly visit the Oxfam Bookstore in Victoria. Although it is a bit cramped and messy, the staff overall are friendly and pleasant. Some are less efficient than others but they are all volunteers. Some of the handicrafts and food items like chocolate are overpriced but the books, CD, etc are terrific and cheap. Generally, a great experience with a regular local customer base.
Do not buy coins from Oxfam…a complete con
I recently bought coins from Oxfam online. One of them cost me £50 and the other one cost me £70 well I have just had them checked one is worth £5.99 and the other one is worth £3. A complete waste of money.

New Malden store
I visited the New Malden store and found it to be the worst I have ever been to. The clothes were so crammed on rails that it was impossible to look at anything let alone consider to buy anything. I spoke to a lady manager who was rude and unhelpful who did not care about the shop or the customers. There was things on the floor which was a trip hazard i feel that there is a accident waiting to happen this shop needs to close for a couple of days to rearrange the store and declutter

Ungrateful
Went to my local store to day in cornwall to donate a few boxes of good quality books two ladies were incredibly rude and huffed at me when I asked if they would like them! Were incredibly ungrateful so I left & have taken them elsewhere. It wasn’t a problem if they had too many but more their attitude.

Landline number really?
The telephone number seems to have to be a landline. My mobile number wouldn't work. I can count the number of people in my phone who have a landline on the fngers of one hand
I’m absolutely outraged
I’m absolutely outraged, the prices are ridiculous. The poor can’t afford to shop At oxfam and the working class would rather look elsewhere for lower prices and better quality.
You need to sort your prices out, as so do many other charities.
I don’t believe you should be allowed to charge such extortionate prices for second hand clothing. That clearly won’t last as long as purchasing something new. You’re taking advantage of your position! Also Zara produced are always tatty and overpriced and anything that’s got a recognisable name or designer name is way overpriced! It’s just Not acceptable. You are a charity for the public for the people as well as a charity for giving to others in need too. Stop exploiting the poor!!!!

Repeated attempts to volunteer in the…
Repeated attempts to volunteer in the Helmsley (N Yorks) shop who badly need help but they are not allowed! Instead there is a tortuous online process with HQ that after a month has yielded nothing. Not even the demanded referee has been contacted. Their apologetic emails are 'no reply' and the chat function is unattended. So we'll go to the other charity shops who are allowed to make such simple decisions themselves...
