Guidepost at Legacy has been a wonderful experience for my family. The experienced, all Montessori-certified guides provide exceptional care and education, creating an amazing environment where you really see the children thrive. The classrooms are beautiful, calm, The Teacher- student ratio is great, and the parent community has become like an extended family to us. After visiting many schools across North Texas, I could not find another school that matched the authenticity, quality, and warmth of Guidepost Montessori at Legacy.

Mass Teacher Turnover and Still Owed a $20,000 Refund —Avoid This School

Our experience with Guidepost Montessori has completely fallen apart. Since the new director took over, the school has suffered a massive staff exodus. The turnover was so severe that my son lost every single one of his teachers because they all quit, completely destroying any classroom consistency.

Because of this and other issues, we withdrew our son. However, the corporate refund process has been incredibly painful. We prepaid his tuition and are still owed **$20,000**. Getting Guidepost to return our money has been an exhausting, drawn-out nightmare.

Between losing all qualified teaching staff and their completely broken financial practices, I strongly caution any parent against enrolling or prepaying tuition here.

I highly recommend this campus! The quality of the program is excellent, and it is truly Montessori. The staff is caring, the environment is beautiful, and it's clear that the children are encouraged to learn independently and with confidence. A wonderful place for young children to grow.

Miss Helena and Miss Dayanna are exceptional educators who provide a warm, nurturing, and structured environment in the Guidepost Montessori toddler classroom. Their dedication to fostering early independence and emotional growth has been transformative for my child. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and love that Miss Helena and Miss Dayanna bring to the toddler classroom at Guidepost Montessori in Duluth.
Transitioning a toddler into school is no easy task, but these two teachers made it a seamless and joyful experience. They deeply understand the Montessori philosophy and treat each child with respect and patience. Under their guidance, we have seen our toddler blossom in independence, confidence, and social-emotional development.

I could not recommend or rave more about this school. I started my son at 18 months and in the last year, I have seen such tremendous growth in academics, socially, in his confidence, and in his independence. They have found a way to teach while keeping it fun and allowing the children to take pride and ownership in learning on their own. The teachers and staff genuinely love and care about their students, keep a strong line of communication open with the parents, and celebrate our kids as if they were their own. I have referred so many of my friends to this school because I truly credit them for my son's immense growth and love for learning.

Our daughter attended Guidepost Montessori in San Rafael, California for a year in the infant program, and we concluded our time in July 2025.

Since that time, GPM has owed us $2,000 in a refund for a deposit we paid when she started in 2024 - it has now been nearly a year. There is no accountability and I’m unfortunately writing this review to hopefully help other parents make a choice other than Guidepost Montessori.

Have owed us $4K of a deposit for our 2 children for nearly 1 year now. Have just been stringing us along with no explanation as to why they can't just send us the owed refund, and recently have stopped communicating alltogether. Very unprofessional.

Have heard the same is happening to other parents.

When we arrived at Guidepost Montessori Hollywood, we were coming from a war zone. We were exhausted, overwhelmed, and my toddler had never set foot in a school before.

What we found there was nothing short of extraordinary !!!

In barely ten weeks, the guides and staff at Guidepost welcomed us with a grace and warmth I will never forget. They didn’t just enroll my daughter — they embraced her. They gave her structure when everything around us felt uncertain, and they gave her love when she needed it most. In that short time, she was potty trained, she learned to follow a schedule, took in great lessons and she began to truly thrive in the Montessori environment.

But what moved me most was the professional work ethic of the entire team. Every single person we encountered — from the teachers in her classroom (Ms Fanny and Ms Florencia + Ms Alma) to the front office welcome by School Director and management staff ( Ms Diana, Ms Estefania, Ms Raquel) — All showed up with consistency, intention, and deep care. Communication with our family was thoughtful and reassuring. The Montessori philosophy came to life not just in the activities, but in the way the guides saw and honored my daughter as an individual.

Guidepost Montessori Hollywood didn’t just give my child a first school experience. They gave our family a safe place to land during one of the hardest chapters of our lives. I am endlessly grateful. 🙌🏽🥹❤️

I would give them a 0 if I could. There is a reason they keep shutting down locations. We went here for my daughter's kindergarten year, they sold us on this being a very academic school that encouraged independence and grace. What we got was my seeing my daughter who is academically advanced being used as teacher's aide in a school that was understaffed. Instead of helping her learn she was constantly being told to help younger kids. She was also subjected to seeing her teachers become physical with her peers who didn't listen, by harshly putting them into chairs, grabbing them by the shoulders. I myself witnessed a Spanish teacher pull two boys into the hallway and slam one of them into a wall while yelling at them in Spanish. I believe this happened because the teachers are all running classrooms without the proper student to teacher ratio so they are frustrated and stressed. That teacher told me she was in the room alone and the boys were acting out. We finally took our daughter out of the school when she started coming home with scratches and bruises on her body and the staff did nothing about it. There were two boys in her classroom who were physical with the other kids and the teacher had no control. Their director even pulled the video tapes from the classroom and verified to me that my daughter was telling the truth about these boys but their only resolution was to "give the teacher more training". These boys were wild and out of control. Overall it was a total waste of our money. The only positive was some of the other wonderful families we met there (most of whom are also pulling their kids out). This school was much better when it had a different head of school. It is very unfortunate because they have some great kids and a few great teachers but they are all so unsupported and staff turn over is very high.

We’ve been at Guidepost for 3.5 years, and I wanted to leave an honest review for families considering the school. Our experience has had both positives and challenges over the years. Too many to fit in a post so I'll try to give the highlights.

There have definitely been growing pains with the company, a lot of changes, and periods where it felt like the school struggled to maintain the strong sense of community and small calm classrooms we originally saw when we toured. The larger class sizes can make individualized attention difficult and classes can be chaotic at times, and the staff turnover over the years meant there was never a lead guide with my son long enough to truly know him year after year. I do feel that negatively impacted parts of his learning experience and our experience overall.

That said, the women who are there every day truly care about these children. The long term staff members are deeply loved by the families, and I absolutely believe they love and care for the kids in return. My son’s current lead guide has worked very hard to learn who he is as a learner and person, communicate regularly with us, and partner with us to help keep him on track in kindergarten. That relationship has meant a lot to our family. The assistant guide has been there almost as long as my son, and he calls her his school grandma, they very much have a bond.

One of the main reasons we chose the school was the Spanish immersion program, which felt especially important living in South Florida. My son is not fluent after 3.5 years, but he understands his teachers well and, this year, has finally started responding to them in full Spanish sentences, which has been wonderful to see. We are not spanish speakers at home so this was a very big plus to find a full immersion daycare, which weirdly is not easy to find around here.

I’m grateful for Guidepost. Our experience was not exactly what we expected when we first enrolled, but my son has been safe, cared for, loved, and he has learned a great deal as have I. As working parents without additional childcare support, the reliability of the school, the long hours, and the consistent availability, especially during summers and school breaks, has been incredibly important for our family. This is one of several reasons we decided to stay for the kindergarten year vs switching to a different school, and I do think that was the right choice.

The new leadership also seems to be making a real effort to rebuild community through events and better communication, and I appreciate seeing that effort. I do believe this will continue to improve.

At the end of the day, while it may not have been the elite Montessori experience we originally signed up for, it has been a safe, clean, reliable place filled with caring people that offers spanish immersion. And ultimately, that is exactly where I want my child to be. For that reason, I’m giving 5 stars and would recommend this location if you are looking for care for your child.

My son stopped attending this school over a month ago. I was charged one month in advance and was told the refund would be returned within 10 business days. I waited the promised time and still nothing. Every time I ask, I get excuses and no real solution.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I simply want my money back. This situation is unfair and the lack of communication makes it even worse.

I truly have loved bringing our children to the campus and seeing how much they have grown this year! Our oldest has begun working with math concepts at 4 years old and has blossoming friendships! We can see the guidance from his lead guide and how she really connects with him to help him not only academically but socially too.

Our youngest is also thriving so much in Spanish immersion! We were nervous for his transition from the infant room to toddlers but both of his guides supported him so much. We also really enjoy seeing the pictures about the activities our son is engaging in the afternoons.

The school events have been a really great opportunity to connect with parents and the staff. It really brings the sense of community to our school. Leadership has been welcoming with everything from our tour to how to potty train.

Cannot recommend this campus enough!

While the school initially made a wonderful impression and has a beautiful environment, there have been some concerning changes over time. Classroom sizes have increased to their maximum capacity, and there is very frequent teacher turnover. Some lead and assistant teachers are still in the process of completing their Montessori credentials while actively teaching, which raises questions about consistency in the classroom experience.

Additionally, communication from leadership has become less transparent. Changes are often explained only as “staff changes,” without providing meaningful context about the reasons behind turnover or why classrooms are being combined. This lack of clarity makes it difficult to feel fully confident in the school’s direction.

I truly appreciated the strong leadership and positive experience at the beginning, which makes it especially disappointing to see how things have evolved. Unfortunately, it has not turned out to be the experience I had hoped for.

Be aware this company and this school is NOT a real Montessori. Staff is not Montessori trained and some staff are not even college educated or certified for child education. Acting head of school does not care about the experience and environment for the children and parents, very apparent this is just a job. Guides specifically pictured for this location here not able to handle children who are more on the active side. Over charging for day care oversight and not educational or independent development as a Montessori is intended. ​Staff does not conduct in appropriate transparent communication. Location has increasing employee turnover. Son started September of 2024 at 2 years and 2 months in toddler house. Staff specifically for this class was however very good, transparent, communicative and genuinely cared for sons development. July 2025 son just turned 3 and immediately went into the children's house as one of the youngest amongst majority of children upto 6 years old. There was no introduction, meet and greet, expectations or tour of the new bigger child class room. The teacher immediately started a vacation and then left the school. Two guides left in charge was not even up to par with a adequate level of skill or knowledge to even represent the school. When issues started to arise due to lack of communication I would request a meeting in September of 2025. The guides would point out all the problems with my new 3 year old and not offer any positive techniques to build his attention, social skills, or developmental abilities as professionals should be able to do. Guide even had the audacity to tell me my 3 year old did not have empathy. Staff started to negatively address any little normal child behavior in front of my son on a almost daily basis, diminishing his self esteem. Eventually they removed my Son beginning of October 2025 without appropriate time to work on the social skills or areas of concern that are not out of the normal. Please consider this experience and review the the background on this company and mass closing of schools, turn over etc. This school again is focused on financial gain and not quality staff or child development and can be attributed to the bankruptcy. ​

My nephew attends this school and he's always telling me about his day and how it's different than his soccer team friends days at school. He says that it doesn't feel boring and that he has the chance to make his own decisions. Over the last year he's been really excelling at math and I'd assume it's due to what he's learning at school. He mentions that his teachers are really nice and patient and that makes him feel relaxed and not sad about having to go to school like some of his other friends.

Serious delay in security deposit refund. My daughter graduated from Guideposts West Alex, VA location in July 2025. Nine months later, we still have not received her refund despite countless phone calls and email follow-ups. At one point they claimed a refund check had been issued and mailed, but they could not provide any documentation when asked. After that, they stopped responding entirely. We never received the check. Now it appears they are switching ownership and are using that as an excuse not to issue the refund. This level of unprofessionalism and stonewalling is infuriating — we trusted this company and they have betrayed that trust. What a shady, irresponsible company.

My toddler son started at Guidepost Montessori over a year ago when he was 18months and he loves going there everyday! The campus is beautiful, well kept, clean and spacious and beautifully laid out with thoughtful Montessori lessons. His teachers are kind, loving and caring. I feel comfortable leaving him in their care each day and have peace of mind knowing he is well taken care of. I see such a difference in him already with the Montessori methods they use. He is becoming a little independent toddler, loves cleaning up after himself and already knows his numbers in Spanish (he is in the Spanish Immersion program which I love about the school as well). I have visited other schools and honestly this school was the best option out of all.

Guidepost Montessori has been a wonderful fit for our 18-month-old. We’ve seen such a positive change in her independence and growing sense of confidence since she started. The environment encourages her to explore and learn at her own pace, which has been incredible to watch. We’re also very grateful for the thoughtful guidance she’s receiving from her teachers; they are attentive, supportive, and truly invested in her development. We couldn’t be happier with our experience.
