There are many things I could highlight about Fusion Academy Rockville, but above all, what stands out is the team’s unwavering commitment to student well-being. The staff is truly prepared to be flexible and to create an environment where any student feels accepted, supported, and encouraged to continue learning and growing.

I couldn’t be more grateful to this school, which has worked hand-in-hand with my family to help my son achieve the excellent results he has reached today. Fusion has made a meaningful difference in his educational journey, and for that, I will always be thankful.

Fusion Academy was an important stepping stone for our daughter. She needed a safe, empathetic space where she could refocus academically and get back on track to attend high school full-time. She really benefitted from the one-on-one attention she got from Fusion teachers, who genuinely cared about her. The experience built her confidence at a critical time. She's now at a new, full-time high school and doing quite well. Recommended for those who can afford it and need this sanctuary for their kid(s).

Our teen accomplished his goal from a year ago of returning for 12th grade at his public high school. The Administration and the teachers at Fusion Rockville played an important role supporting our teen in his goals. We observed improvement and growth in his executive functioning skills and his ability to analyze information presented in multiple different ways. We observed that the Fusion Rockville teachers also rekindled our teen's intellectual curiosity. We appreciate the care and thought each administrator and teacher put into supporting our teen while at Fusion Rockville.

My son hated public school: the noise, the crowds, the social scene. He was different. We enrolled him at Fusion and it changed his life (and ours). The teachers and staff were so supportive, as were his fellow students, and he began to thrive. For the first time in his life he belonged, he fit in. Learning became fun, he blossomed socially, and he even joined the school band and a club. He saw a future for himself. He's now headed to college. Wow, what a difference Fusion made.

Fusion was a life saver for our family. Our daughter needed a school which would recognize her unique learning needs, allow us great flexibility to take breaks when needed, and support her emotionally. Fusion was all of that and more. The compassionate leadership of the head of school, Joe Kavitski, carries over to all who work there, creating a supportive, competent, responsive environment. The one on one model allowed her to stay focused, was adaptable to her needs, and helped her to become an active learner. She loved working with Meagan and Alast and developed a trusting relationship with them. We also received priceless support from Lauren Garcia and Aleasha Barcomb. I would love to see Fusion become accessible to all students who need this type of learning environment to achieve a HS diploma. I am hopeful that this will be possible as they grow and hone their mission. They are meeting an enormous need in our community already.

Staff are very accessible and accommodating. Focus on meeting my child’s learning needs.

Our daughter faced challenges including sicial anxiety and PoTS. She had been to several schools including ding a therapeutic program before her junior year. Fusion Rockville provided her the flexibility, understanding and support to complete high on time and get accepted into several colleges.

The teachers were awesome with my son! Very patient and always celebrated his achievements!

I have been a teacher here for 6 months and had to leave after such a short period of time because my work visa (without sponsorship) could not be renewed.

I think the flexible, open-minded and liberal environment left the deepest impression on me. As a teacher, a lot of freedom was given to exercise creativity and customization of curriculum to bring the best out of every student.

In a nutshell, I felt like an independent consultant working with the school (by leveraging the available resources) to help students academically and develop their way of learning.

Fusion Academy is very supportive to our family and our daughter's teachers provide excellent, personalized instruction. Our daughter has always been an A student - at Fusion it feels like a team effort to help our daughter continue on her honors academic path during a difficult personal time in her life dealing with anxiety and depression. We would recommend Fusion to any family in need of specialized, but accredited, education for their teenager.

Our son was bullied terribly at a local public high school. We removed him from school and enrolled him at Fusion. He thrived in the last 18 months and was accepted into 9/11 colleges. He also responded so well to the one on one model. There is no escaping or drifting off when it's one on one. Overall, the teachers are super caring as evidenced by the general responses but also by the graduation ceremony, where a teacher gives a speech about each child. Yes, Deepah is amazing and as for responsiveness (speaking to the one poster) all you need is a follow-up email if no one reaches back. ALSO about responsiveness, we received a write up EACH DAY from every teacher about what was covered in class and how our son did that day. (Speaking of true responsiveness...) Worth every penny and Fusion let us rest easy at night.

The teachers and administrators at Fusion are helping my student gain confidence and learn how to self-advocate. My student is taking relevant classes and making swift progress toward earning a high school diploma. The post-secondary framework is in place to make well-informed decisions about college planning and to support my student with clear direction during the application process. Thanks to the Fusion teachers, my student is feeling well-prepared and self-assured.

Everyone at Fusion Academy has been so helpful from the administration to the teachers. My son feels so comfortable that he is actually participating in his classes. I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

Thanks to the Fusion Family, my son is thriving academically. The caring atmosphere and individual support is just what my child needed for his academic and well-being.

This is a for profit enterprise with a difficult business model. The teachers and students ultimately suffer. Don’t be fooled by the introductory meetings and warm friendly brochures. You’re in a mill and will be lucky to get your classes or even a response to your questions. Once they have your money, the communication stops. The one bright spot is Deepa at the front desk.

I have been very happy will the class my daughter has been taking at Fusion. She seems to be doing well as is less stressed.

My daughter has now been at Fusion for one semester. I switched her there because she could not handle virtual school, and needed in-person/one-on-one to catch up. She has thrived there, and loves it - so much that she will be returning in the fall, even though public school will probably be in-person. She is still behind on some of her classes, and had the option of finishing them up this summer or putting them "on pause" until the fall. She has excellent grades in both the classes she's finished and those she hasn't (and she'd been failing her freshman year of high school). More importantly, she is learning, and one again loving to learn. The education she is receiving is made relevant to her life and current events and is geared toward her interests (for example, choosing what book to read for English) and and abilities (for example, progressing on vocabulary words at her own pace). She also says that she loves the other kids there as they are dealing with some of the same issues she is (such as ADHD). It's wonderful to get daily progress reports from her teachers; previously, it was like pulling teeth to try to track them down to find out if she was turning in her homework, etc. All in all, except for the price, and the fact that kids are not allowed to take sick days (of course, they don't have to go to school when they're sick, but you end up double-paying since you don't get a refund for the class they miss, and they need to make it up with an extra session), I highly recommend Fusion Acadmy.

My son has really enjoyed working with his tutors and his subject matter retention has increased. Highly recommend!

The pandemic meant that all learning was virtual. We came to FUSION because our public school was not handling it in a way that met our daughter's needs and it negatively impacted her mental health. Fusion provided a safe space and a way for her to continue her learning. The teachers are kind and upbeat and some academic progress was made. However, our daughter was not sparked with a joy of learning that caused her to go to a higher level in her work. She coasted along, doing the least work possible. With the 1-1 attention I had hoped that her skills would be super charged. That was not the case. However, her mental health was good and some of the classes were especially useful such as life skills and consumer math. The staff is very professional and caring. I think it was hard to motivate any student who was not already excited about learning when everything was virtual and there was so much social isolation. I am very grateful to FUSION for providing a safe way to get an education during the pandemic.
